... as of the time of this post I haven't seen anything from the club to say that Jimmy Phillips will be in charge for the Bournemouth game, although it seems obvious that he will be...
... I think he's placed favourably to take the job, seeing as how he's already employed by the club... now that's if he wants it... can he get us out of this mess that Freedman has left us in?
I'd don't know who I'd like to see in place from the list of managers from the bookies... Curbishley... I don't think will take it on... and please, not another Scot...

like you say Boom, don't know if JP wants it full time, but i 'd like to think he gets an extended trial period to see this time. 2 examples of where that has worked...Bowyer at blackburn, and Stuart Gray at sheff wed .
Jay Lynch ( our ex keeper ) seems to have rated jP AND COULDN'T STAND DF.

Killed the atmosphere around the place; drained the life out of the squad; neglected the young... couldn't have said it better mesel'... ... wonder if it take the lid of the morgue this Saturday, now he's gone...

Pulis wouldn't come. when you walk out from a PL job, you don't go to bottom of ch'ship. doubt Lennon would come either. i'd take Phil Brown. Malky done well but not sure i could stand another scot at the mo. although Billy Davies is one and i'd take him. i'd also take Rosler if he got the boot from Wigan. Karl Robinson is interesting, although we're so far down the lge he almost stands more chance of being in the lge next year sticking with his current club. Phelan would be a bit risky. always like the way Meulensteen talks. it's handy to get someone who's got good appropriate contacts. Rene might get us some good promising utd kids we could take on loan like he was trying to do at fulham. first things first though, see how JP does, and if he does well and shows some promise, he can have it, maybe even alongside a phil brown. i never used to like going for old boys just for the sake of it, but if they can do quite well, it doesn't half help getting the fans onside and fans who aren't quick to turn on the mgr. i'm not a big KD fan, but you can see him if he helped out. ( as part of coaching team, not the number 1), everytime he would stand up to urge the players on..the crowd would roar... ..there's no guarantee as we know from OC, but for coyle first 12 to 18 months that effect did play its part.

Its more of a list of who I don't want as I'd be happy with most other people after the last 2 years but:
Alex McLeish: He's Scottish, Ginger. Basically the middle of the ven diagram of "Bad Managers Post Sam"
Graham Souness: Well he's on one side of the Ven Diagram, but he annoyed me as Blackburn manager and was the first to use the "You know what you're getting with Bolton, direct long ball" which at that time was absolute rubbish. We'd outplayed his shoddy Newcastle.
Gianfranco Zola: Nice chap, great footballer. Remember speaking to a West Ham fan years ago and saying if you were a player and had the choice to play for Zola or Megson who would you choose. But he failed at West Ham and he was poor at Watford. Feel they really should have done better in the league with all he had.
J-F Haaslebaink: What? I don't get it. P. Kluivert was looking for a club allegedly. He would be an odd choice but not as odd as Jimmy. (Maybe for the Leeds job)
Owen Coyle: 11/1. What?
Others from the list and some that aren't. Paul Jewell, Ian Dowie, Paul Ince.
Anyone else fine. I don't think Neil Lennon is the right man but with him may come Alan Thompson. That would be great for us fans. I would like if he joined the staff anyway.

More confusion from the great and mighty powerful Phat Phil Darkside grrrrrrr Lee Turner I believe is the GK coach and Andy Hughes was the guy Freedman brought in (another cronie) to be the Professional Development Coach (whatever that is supposed to be) but was also registered as a player at the grand young age of 36 and has been on the bench a couple of times v Leeds and Rotherham (WTF was that all about ....spy on the bench?) Hopefully JP and DL will be in place after tomorrow's game, but as we are already bottom following Blackpool's win, things can't get any worse, even under these 2 clowns, Gartside has missed a chance to get the Macbok rocking tomorrow.

Reading the Tweeting session with Marc Isles on The BN he suggests that he already knows a few names that have applied for the job. When asked directly in tweets he says:
Q. are the financial restraints going to prevent #bwfc approaching or attracting a more experienced manager to the club? A. Yes - but you'd be surprised by some of the people who have already put their hat into the ring.
Q. When you say 'yes' to Houghton or Mackay, do you mean 'yes they would', or 'yes, I think they would'? A. As in "yes they would"

Forget Pullis there's absolutely no way he'd come here or get on with Garty. I really Phil Brown would be best a combination of experience, personality and affection for the club. If it had to be someone from outside Mike Phelan would be a good shout or Rene Mullenstein. And Karl Robinson looks a genuine rising star. I really do think though that we're in a false position, I think the squad is much better than our position suggests and someone who can heal the wounds and bring the players together shouldn't have a really difficult job. I think the financial situation is something of a red herring that zFreedman clung to as an excuse. I'm not minimising the situation but I think his problems were entirely of his own design. Anyway whoever it is the targets clear, just keep us up.
