Likely I'm on YourAnus .. whichever planet I'm on you'll have the benefit of always being completely right and me completely wrong. If you read other posts you'll see what I thought DF was doing well and I think AndyL summised a lot of my similar thoughts in another thread recently. Regardless, have a happy always right day, today .. and for many days to come. Thanks Kaz knew you'd get something right eventually.

As I said I would much prefer Chris Hughton to Neil Lennon. Lennon has no experience of managing anywhere except Celtic and I think most managers could do a reasonable job at Celtic. Dug this thread out as I thought it was interesting to see Chris Hughton bring his side to The Macron sitting on the top of the league. At one point he was favourite and I think at what point it was a straight shootout between Hughton and Lennon. I assume Hughton was interviewed but could be wrong. I'm not sure what business Chris has been allowed to do but its still pretty impressive turnaround. Ok the seasons only just started but they haven't been beat yet. This comes from a lot more questions being asked of Neil Lennon too. So almost a year on and the debate continues(well i've dragged it back up) . Did Phil get it right for a change or have we got the wrong man?

I don't think you can argue that NL steadied the ship last year when he arrived and of course it has been difficult losing most of the good players he had as well as being stuck with the dross Freedman landed us with but I have to honestly say I'm disappointed in his use of the squad and particularly that he doesn't seem to have got the best out of or improved any of the squad we have. A quality manager would always get an extra 10% or so out of a player, no matter how bad but I don't see that yet from Lennon, in some ways the opposite.
It certainly can't be easy but to really answer your question I think Lennon is the man for the job but he now has to prove it.

Yes, my answer is that Neil was the right man for the job too. Not just on field but off the field Neil lifted the spirit of the fans, settled in the community. Said all the right things, made the right noises. We needed more than just a manager, we needed a representative but lets hope he can show us he has the managerial ability too.
