According to BEN chief football writer Marc Iles, Bolton Wanderers have concluded a deal to bring on-loan Millwall man Liam Trotter to the club on a permanent basis.
In a twitter exchange with a Wanderers fan tonight, Marc confirmed that the deal has been done.
Trotter, 25, joined the club on loan at the end of January. His contract at Millwall expires in the summer and it was understood that a nominal fee had been agreed between the two clubs in January should Dougie Freedman wish to make the deal permanent.
Despite Trotter's slow start at Wanderers, clearly he has done enough to earn a full-time contract with the Whites.
Now, I have also been informed this evening that we have sealed a similar deal for on-loan Leicester midfielder Neil Danns.
I understand that both Danns and Trotter have both signed three year contracts.
We'll see.

Wolves face a fight to keep hold of defensive rock Richard Stearman, Sky Sports understands.
The 26-year-old is out of contract this summer and the news of his availability on a free transfer has alerted a host of clubs.
Stearman has been instrumental in helping Wolves win promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking this season.
The former Leicester man has enjoyed an outstanding season, helping Wolves secure a club record 24th league clean sheet in last weekend's win over Crewe which secured promotion.
Wolves also have the second-best defensive record in England and their current tally of 25 goals conceded is currently the lowest in the club's 137-year history. Ipswich are thought to be weighing up a move for Stearman with Mick McCarthy a huge admirer of the commanding central defender.
McCarthy signed Stearman while he was in charge of Wolves and signed him on loan at Ipswich last season and he impressed during his stint at Portman Road.
The likes of Leeds and Bolton are also thought to be tracking Stearman, while Scottish champions Celtic are also understood to be keeping tabs on him.
Wolves look set to offer Stearman a new long-term deal, but they may struggle to match offers from elsewhere.

No smoke without fire mi thinks...
Links for Mark Davies:
Leicester City have been heavily rumoured as a potential destination for the midfielder in the last week – with sources close to the player claiming that talks have taken place over a £2million deal.
It had even been suggested that Wanderers had taken Davies out of the team in recent weeks to protect him from injury so the deal could take place.
Both Wanderers and Leicester have played down the talk, with Freedman insisting that Davies’s absence is simply over-cautiousness on his part after a dip in the 26-year-old’s fitness.
Bolton have scuppered talks linking him with a move “My problem with him is that he had such a long time off – nine months – and I threw him right back into the deep end,” he said. “I just felt that he had a bit of a burnout and developed that groin problem, so I’m really being over-cautious on him”.
Freedman says there has been no contact with the Foxes, who have tracked Davies in previous transfer windows.
But the Wanderers boss is pragmatic enough to accept the club would be unlikely to turn down a serious offer for any players this summer, with finances as tight as they are.
Wanderers are yet to confirm their playing budgets for next season but Freedman is expecting to have to balance the books again.
While Lukas Jutkiewicz appears to be top of the shopping list, the £1.5million price tag Middlesbrough have placed on him may be an issue, unless money can be raised from player sales.
And Freedman, who has long been an advocate of re-establishing the Whites as a “trading club” is going into the close-season with his eyes wide open.

£4m for Davies against £1.5 for a goal scorer ............ DO IT NOW. Good call that. Happy with Danns, The Juke, Stearman, A left back In and utilise Vela, White, Hall a lot more and .. Mears, Davies (Don't want to see him go but a luxury better served in the Prem I feel) CYL, Baptiste, Knight, Eagles, Trotter & Pratley out and .. from DF "I'm fed up, in 20 months of being here, of players who feel this football club owes them something. They think it's their right that 'I should be playing this week'. "We should be looking forward and I want players who want to be here. If they don't want to be here, then that's my attitude - go." Freedman is yet to be made aware of the budget he will be working with this summer, but the Scot is confident that productive business will be carried out. He added: "I have to do some trading. This club hasn't done enough in the past. It hasn't produced enough assets to trade. "We've relied on loans, then when they go back we start all over again. "I'm yet to see what the budget is going to be for next season, but I don't think it will be as it has been. "I would like to think I can keep a hold of one or two, but know that one or two will move on and a few will come in. "I think it will naturally cut itself up with a few coming to the end of their contract who are on good Premier League money. "It's definitely opened my eyes that we need to trade. I owe it to the fans that we see some fresher, younger faces because when we've had that, results have improved." Yes .. more of that talk please.

Do you think this could be the end for Vela, I would have liked to have seen him play a couple of games for us before the end of the season. From what I have heard from a Millwall fan I work with about Trotter he can have 1 good game in 7 and he is very lazy, Dannes I have not seen him play but what I have heard from the forum or from the paper he could be a good buy. Would like to see a good left back and a solid striker who can score 20 goals a season and a solid centerback. Looking forward to next season with a touch of hope.

Glad that now we're safe, Dougie can afford to try out different tactics and hopefully give one or two of the youngsters a run. It'll be interesting to see how he wheels and deals in the transfer window, but I can't see him having much money to play with and I bet he'll have to offload the big money players (like Eagles) to finance whatever he does.
