I just can't see his reasoning myself. I would have thought it was the perfect opportunity

Sorry to disappoint BigA but he's already stated he won't be experimenting with the youngsters in the remaining games I thought youth was the future?? Teach them well and let them lead the way!!

Glad that now we're safe, Dougie can afford to try out different tactics and hopefully give one or two of the youngsters a run. It'll be interesting to see how he wheels and deals in the transfer window, but I can't see him having much money to play with and I bet he'll have to offload the big money players (like Eagles) to finance whatever he does. Welcome big Al, why not join the forum, instead of being a guest. We're all pretty friendly, most of the time

All these classy players around the world and we end up with a crow !!! Bolton Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman is looking to sign youngster Jeremie Boga on a season-long loan from Chelsea, according to the Sunday People. Boga, 17, has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge on a temporary basis and it is claimed that Bolton is his most likely destination.

Trouble is at 17 given Freedman's attitude to youth he couldn't possibly be signed for the first team so I have to ask very politely, just what is the effing point when all he'll do at the end of the loan is go back to Chelsea. I just don't know what Freedman's about quite frankly but whatever it is it's just not for me. Surely he should be bringing some of our "older" kids through now to give them some first team experience?

I just don't know what Freedman's about quite frankly but whatever it is it's just not for me. Surely he should be bringing some of our "older" kids through now to give them some first team experience? Trouble is? trouble is 63, it's not Freedman's fault...The loan system itself is a sham! How many players have Chelsea got out on loan? How many do they own in other countries. It doesn't matter, whether how old they are, or how much experience they have, Chelsea are buying up all the talent. They are trafficking in footballers, that's what they are doing! How many "names" do they have sitting on the bench that don't get to kick a ball? How many careers have disappeared from the top flight, when they were at their peak...e.g. SWP, Benayoun, JCole, only to re-appear as journeymen e.g B'youn at QPR JCole at L'pool/WHU...They were taken out of the system to Chelsea's advantage. Even Demba Ba is on the fringes...It's also robbing the fans countrywide...How many go out on loan in the PL and hurt other teams, but can't hurt Chelsea, 'cos they can't play against the parent club? Even Wenger woke up to that flaw in the system!!! Perhaps this kid is a potential...a try before you buy...he arrives, displaces one of our lads sure, but let's say he is a success...Freedman wants him and gets him on the cheap. He'd never make Chelsea's team, but they get a few hundred thousand for an unknown ....In an ironic way, BWFC benefit and so does Chelsea. If Chelsea decide to keep him and Freedman's "sent him back a better player", then it may be a feather in Freedman's cap when it comes to loaning people like Sturridge. You have to admit, he lit up the Reebok. I've never liked the loan system from day one...whilst we are building free schools to pay off the debt. AB is profiting in human trafficking. . Remember, he who dies with the most toys wins!!!

I don't like the loan system any more than you do Wotsup but I just don't think signing a 17 year old is going to give us what we need right now. We've packed the team with loans and journeyman players instead of developing or improving our own. We sat a proper right back who was costing us a reputed 30k a week on his backside whilst we struggled in defence. We loaned out our youngsters and experienced players and replaced them at considerable cost with players no better or even arguably worse. What's more is that most if not all of those players will return to their clubs at the end of the season with little at all benefit to us. We're finishing the season in our lowest position for many years and no prospect of improving on that next year. We don't even know what sort of team we'll be left with or start next year with. All we do know for certain is that we'll still be stuck with this negative, totally mind boggling idiot as manager. I can't remember looking forward less to a season or with less confidence than next.

Good Easter whites? Excellent thanks BTID, especially now I have no interests in the footy results. Means I can concentrate on the important things in life like my grand kids and how many Easter eggs they consumed and the egg hunt yesterday in Clumber Park. Just brilliant so hope that you and all our other regulars had as good a one.

Close BTID it is in Nottinghamshire but closer to Worksop than Nottingham itself. It's actually part of Sherwood Forest but then the majority of Central England was at one time. Still it's well worth a visit if ever you're over this way and is now part of the National Trust. With all the shops closed and the sun shining you can just imagine how busy it was and how wonderful to see so many kids actually out in it taking part in the Easter Sunday Eggstravaganza hunt. Now why can't all Sundays be like that instead of everyone dragging round the shops??

Glad to see that against all the odds, Dougie did in fact blood a few youngsters last night against Leicester.
