Quarter final of a cup in 6 hours time and no thread yet.
I absolutely accept that the league must be top priority but we should always go all out to win every game.
This EFL Trophy is a funny one. What happens if we get to Wembley again but this time flop badly. Would it tarnish the experience from last year – an experience it will be hard to improve on?
Anyway, we certainly have a squad of players, whoever is picked, to compete and win.
I tend to think that the manager will go strong – stronger than at Accrington in the last round.
There could be starts for Ramsay and Ogbeta. The back 3 looks fixed. Midfield Thomason will return and I would expect Morley to start also.
Upfront, we started with Bodvarsson and Jerome in the last round. Will we again or do we go with the normal pair?
An interesting match – I agree that victory in the upcoming league match is much more important – but we need to somehow get rid of this Blackpool away bogey.
Maybe a 1-1 draw.

Blackpool might really go for this like they did v Forest where they only just came up short
If that Ogbeta and Ramsey can be used, use em JDB and Jerome to start Coleman Morley and Dempsey Ashworth and Iredale Matheson (if he’s still here) and any of the other B Teamers
All that said, I can also see Evatt really going for this (as cup holders of course) but also to do his old club over 2-2 onto pens and it’s anyone’s guess who’s going through

Even with the two new players probably starting I just can’t get any enthusiasm for this one as all my attentions have switched to the league match against the Tykes on Saturday. Obviously that’s not shared by others because our away following is sizeable so for them I hope we win. Previous results mean nothing to me so the fact we haven’t won there for X years means nothing to me. I can’t even work up the Will to pay a tenner to watch it on TV so I’m afraid I’m going to be a sh-t fan and just look at the result later. What I do hope is that this game hasn’t taken the attention off our striker purchase attempts as times running out. It looks like it’s going to come down to who can bluff best because if Collins has downed tools at Bristol can they afford to pay his wages for the season and then probably get less at the end of the season, they may yet relent? I’d stick to my first offer if I was IE.

I'm worried about this one, having seen Blackpool lose narrowly at The Toughsheet, and watched them take Forest to the wire in the FA Cup replay on TV. I'm not sure whether we should feature our new boys from the start, rather
field as close as possible to the side that experienced them in that league game. If we get through I doubt if we will meet sterner opposition in the next rounds, but we most certainly must keep our eyes on the games in hand to
be played in the coming weeks, not to mention the home game v Barnsley on Saturday.

Good lineup but would be interesting to see who will score the goals I’m torn between winning and saving ourselves for Saturday fingers crossed for a injury free night and a win COYWM

It’s a very even game but we have had a couple of decent chances that we’ve failed to take but it’s still 0-0 COYWM

A reasonable performance and should be winning.
Jerome shot straight at keeper when clean through.
Thomason shot almost squeezed in.
Most of the action at the Blackpool end but it’s 0-0 and only 45 minutes away from a penalty shoot-out.

Rumours are that loans are being mooted for Jerome and JDB. Can see why we'd not accept those until a.) After tonight and b.) Until we get recruits in.
But got to say tonight shows that it's easy to look at those two players and know that's where we need to improve. JDB recently has looked so blue bottomed fly. Lots of effort and running but doesn't seem to be any of the coolness from the Iceman. He's just ball chasing at the moment. And let's face it Jerome we're just doing him a favour at the moment. Guy needs to drop down, boss some League 2 defenders.

I’m fairly sure I’ve just seen their goalie in the roll a penny arcade!!
He said he was bored and at a loose end
Half hour into the second half and I don’t think we’ve threatened their goal once!!!
Charles is on so hopefully that should change JDB and Jerome …… NO.. it’s not worth it, the trams are moving faster than them
This could have been a better spectacle if they’d done the penalty shoot out first
