Reported in Sportinglife, via The Sun, that BWFC are preparing a 500,000k bid for Ipswich striker Joe Garner.

Definitely happy to be linked with Garner but at 30 his value wont go up so I think Wyke would be the better option. Why not have them both and maybe McGoldric. Pool of 4 strikers and Hall to come into it.
Linked with a takevmover with superagent(Not that one) Jorge Mendes. Think we'd be more likely to get Pedro Mendes. Let's hope the signings come thick and fast now.

My concern from what I've heard is that he's a bad apple. He had a drugs charge, but scores goals so puzzled by his availability. Can only assume bad apple. Number one, he isn't coming here. Signed for Oldham in May 2018. The drugs suspension was for ecstasy, which of curse he denies, saying his drink was spiked. Everton must have rated the lad, but I don't suppose he rated them. He was with Everton on two occasions, the last just before he signed for Oldham. He's been with Oldham before too, Tranmere, Sheff Utd and never stayed put. Premier League club to Div 2 club. Makes no sense. Bad apple? Seems that way. Oldham don't have a manager either. Wellens sacked June 8th. Years Team Apps (Gls) 2008–2012 Everton 7 (0) 2011–2012 → Tranmere Rovers (loan) 14 (3) 2012–2013 Oldham Athletic 43 (15) 2013–2016 Sheffield United 93 (20) 2017–2018 Everton 0 (0) 2018– Oldham Athletic 0 (0)

Mind you, we might as well forget all other targets as yet again, Ken has buggered off with the money to pay for Michelin staff for his new restaurants and left the Wanderers high and dry by the looks of things as our players are going on strike for unpaid wages Something criminal going on here with Ken and Superagent and I smell a rat 😡😡😡

Just wondering now on people's thoughts of our released list. At the time I was happy with each release. Not so much as a personal attack I just saw each one as a passing on a baton to a younger ambitious side. Now that seems pie in the sky. More fool me.
So I'll review. Should we have kept...
Howard? Absolutely. We were never going to keep Amos, Turner on his way out on loan these really appears to be a massive botch job. Howard wasn't great but he was capable. You don't really want two equal keepers. Not really. You need a number one and a capable understudy. If your unlucky you may Lose a keeper for 6 games a season, a serious injury and the FA tend to allow a leeway with an emergency loan anyway. They don't make you stick a 16 year old in. We should have stuck.
Dervite? No was still right. Good riddance. If you give Dorian a season to prepare for a game he would defend well. But ask him to play a second game and his concentration goes, he gets caught out and is calamitous. Correct decision with Hobbs waiting- whatever he's like.
Derick - with us for three years. I still don't know where he plays. Technically probably the better players but never made for English football. Probably look decent in MLS.
Pratley And Henry - this is where I don't get the KA and PP relationship. How can a manager let his chairman get rid of half his team, his captain and sit in silence. Surely Ken asked for his input and Parkinson's input must have been I would like Darren and Henry.
PP not getting quality replacements and trialling Cotterill shows how weak his position is now. Back to original question. Right to ditch Pratley, about time but our season only got jump started with Henry. He may not be flash but when he came we were so much more combative. Even when we lost it was a tighter scoreline and our winning streak tied in with Henry playing a part. I'm not sure Lowe is better.
Morais - He will never be the postman in this league. He won't be the dynamic winger we want him to be. Could be adapt to be a holding midfielder or right back? Possibly we probably don't need him for that so yeah with regret, still correct.
Wilbraham- two important goals but a stopped clock is right twice a day. Donaldson is not the striker I was hoping for but I think he's still a step up.
And would like to take back: Robinson(posssible) Burke(impossible) Cullen (and use him) Walker (nah) Clough? I cannot give up on Clough. I'd still love to see him back and playing in an attacking midfield line. He's Not a striker.
