No, Andy and Meg, a goalkeeper is either capable of world-class saves or he is not. Lon is, Bog is not. There's the difference.
Both have lapses as any footballer does, but Bog's are more frequent. He too often misjudges the flight of the ball and palms shots out to onrushing forwards, rather than away to safety. But, as I said before, the goalkeeping position is the least of our worries. Whoever is in goal certainly gets plenty of practice!
It's the deficiencies in the rest of the side that we should be focussing on. If Dougie was watching and hopes to learn, then perhaps he will pick up on the basic art of pass-and-move which seems to be entirely missing from our training sessions, judging by what takes place on the pitch.

And, by the way, it's great to see Lee back to his best......the only other player we have got who is capable of matching premiership talent.
A shame we have got rid of other players who have the talent to compete at the highest level, if coached and motivated properly, as is DF's responsibility.

Remember the Spurs re-match when Bogdan has a similarly impressive game, keeping them at bay for a long time. I thought Lonergan deserved to be Number One over the course of the last three seasons but did see an improvement in Bogdan. If we're not offering Bogdan another contract then we should stick with Lonergan as he'll be signing(for West Ham)in Jan, on a free.

What is it about our management we're so consistently bad at getting fees for our better players. What's the point of looking to develop talent if we can't then capitalise on it?

Following on from DF's latest mumblings in the BN
Marc Iles says "he knows full well that any advantage gained with a battling display at Chelsea could be swiftly undone in just 90 minutes tomorrow afternoon.
Wanderers were rightly praised for a gutsy show at Stamford Bridge"
Praised by who....the 750 who attended and the others who saw the score line of 2-1 and think we must have played well to keep it to that.
We had just 37% possession v Chelsea's 63% We had just 3 shots at goal v Chelsea's 28 (that's 1 shot ever 3.2 mins) We had just 2 shots on target, (1 was the goal and the 2nd didn't come until 5 mins from time) v Chelsea's 10 We had just 3 corners v Chelsea's 10
It was like the Alamo with Lonergan playing the Jim Bowie role, and as Bazc83 under the article says people's opinions will have been a little different if the scoreline had truly reflected the performance.
You Marc Iles (or is that Cram Lies) and DF can spout all you like to try and pull the wool over the fans' eyes and no doubt some will believe the guff but I and 1000s more don't fall for it any more, and I along with Boltonkid (also under the article), sadly, hope we lose to Derby and then we may be rid of this idiot.

Since Marc took a slightly negative view in his report a few weeks ago, he seems to be on the on the positive overdrive, he obviously got told to toe the line. It wasn't even a full Chelsea side and we parked the bus. Are we in a better position than Sheff Weds? No, both same result. Out of cup, so what, were we going to win it anyway? Struggled against Bury and Crewe.
Think we're lucky we got Chelsea, it was a no lose that the BN has somehow turned into a huge success.
Also what is with the image of Dougie juxtaposed infront of the Nat statue. Its blasphemy.
