Least we can blame the ref. Missing Santos. Signed two out and out scorers in successive windows only for them to be Evattised into Kachungas.
Another game we lose our heads in a Derby and Wigan coming up.
Evatt not as good as he thinks once again. All his decisions now seem to be backfiring. Simply not ready for championship and he won't address any issues. Play offs where we'll get undone again.

And there it is
Play offs for us
And all because we are atrocious at corners
Our corner = they score
Your not a good manager Ian, you are privileged and that’s about it
Just watch, Leyton O will stuff these

Just rank bad defending.
We can blame the ref who was pretty poor but I actually thought the penalty and red card were correct.
We were just so poor in defence.
Our supply into the box from the wing backs was awful - first man hit nearly every time.
Our corners were dreadful - they almost scored twice in the 1st half from our corners and then did in the 2nd half. How can you concede from your own corner?
Poor
At least Portsmouth and Derby dropped points also
BUT
Barnsley and Peterborough won

Coleman made a save or two here and there but he hooked up his caravan at one point when he came racing out from his line, he’s not a good keeper at all
Brought Santos back a game too early
Ashworth was poor as was Toal
JDC was just awful
Dempsey had a crap second half, went missing in actual fact
3/4 of a million pounds sat on the bench and as OoooM says, he’s been ‘Evattised’ Perhaps if he’d started, Blackpool might have set up differently
Jones was in no man’s land most of the time
Sheehan did nowt to get me off my seat
Actually agree on the pen and the card davidm, both correct decisions but my word, this ref was gunning for something big from the 5th minute
We will not win at Wigan, not happenin, not the way Evatt tinkers. Like I’ve said, he’s not a good manager, if he was, he’d have turned that game around
Every game, 3 or 4 changes. Does he not know a settled side by now??
W63, you were asking ‘why all the negativity’ ?? Evidence at Bloomfield

got out of jail with Derby losing 2-1 at Barnsley. so level on points, and just behind on goal diff. so even draw the game in hand, we're in the auto's. it's just the performance you worry about. shots on target 8(bl'pool ) vs 3 (us) . and don't blame the sending off, as we were well behind on that score before it. expected more of a response after the pen too. barely troubled them after it despite piling all the subs on.
just as well Jordan Rhodes...their topscorer by a mile ,wasn't playing. I know we're missing Dion, but we have far more backups than them. it really weakens them. Cj Hamilton is another decent player for them. not fit enough to start though he did come on. so didn't expect to concede 4 today with those missing.
the only downside to Derby losing is of course, Barnsley won...so they are perked up a bit and only 3 pt's behind us. P'boro also won. still a bit distant, but you can't fully rule them out yet.
the Wigan game should be a tasty one now. not seen any action. radio comm only. it'll be interesting to see if Santos red card gets appealed. radio comm were adamant it was harsh, but heard 1 or 2 callers saying it was a pen etc, and interesting to see David M's post above.

Well that was terrible.
Our defence has crumbled recently and today it was awful.
We actually did a fair amount of attacking and probably should have scored more than one but it is pointless when kamikaze cops are in the back line.
We started extremely well when Thomason shot into the corner from a Bodvarsson lay off.
But we then shot ourselves in the foot with completely dozy work in defence.
The referee was ridiculous and had a spell of giving 4 or 5 free kicks to Blackpool for 50/50 coming togethers. Jones was penalised for a foul and we stupidly argued with the referee. Blackpool didn’t argue but just took the kick quickly and we had 3 or 4 players out of position. The ball got to the left of the area where the Blackpool player just turned inside Jones and fired a good shot in. A good shot but we were so asleep and Jones’ defending left a lot to be desired.
Did we learn?
No.
Blackpool had another move down the left. Bodvarsson was covering the left back but then stopped as they played a one-two and let the full back through to the bye-line. Santos was not marking and their guy had a header that Coleman saved really well but the ball rolled free and we were too slow to stop their centre half poking it in.
At this stage, Blackpool looked like they could score every time they came forward. They headed a free kick over on the 6-yard line and we looked so slack.
Blackpool also twice almost scored from our corners when they cleared the ball and broke much faster than we could defend. We scrambled one away and Coleman saved very well for the other but our corners looked unplanned – a real mess.
But, remarkably, we could/should have equalised when Dacres-Cogley, who had looked lost all match, got space on the right and Mendes-Gomes turned the cross straight into the goalies body from 3 yards out. Should have scored.
2-1 at half time was a fair score.
We couldn’t really pick it up after the break.
Coleman had a mad moment when he charged out of his area to challenge for a free kick, got nowhere near it and Jones had to head clear off the line.
The shambles continued and Jones and Dacres-Cogley got challenged in midfield and lost the ball. Blackpool broke down the left with Sheehan trying unsuccessfully to catch. Coleman charged out to the far edge of the area and the ball was rolled across the front. Santos slid into their player from the back and claimed he had played the ball but he took their man out. So a penalty and a red card and game over.
Eventually our dreadful corner taking gave Blackpool their 3rd break from our possession and this time we were all over for a simple gaol.
The whole performance was awful but mainly we must look at the defence.
We are shambolic at the moment.
I don’t know if it is because Baxter is not there but there seems just no quality in our defensive play. Bringing Santos back was not a success. He did not look sharp at all.
Some of our attacking play with Mendes-Gomes and Bodvarsson looked OK but the wing backs struggled to put decent balls into the box. They probably made one good centre each and Bodvarsson and Mendes-Gomes almost scored in each case. The rest of the balls regularly hit the first man.
There has to be a massive improvement on Tuesday else we will sink into the group of teams fighting for the play offs.
Marks:-
Coleman - 4 A few really good saves but even more kamikaze moments.
Dacres-Cogley - 3 Gave the ball away or lost it so many times, particularly in the 1st half. Credit for a centre that Mendes-Gomes should have scored from but the majority of his centres into the box hit the first man.
Jones - 3 Defensively poor. Seemingly unable to mark a man. Beaten for the first goal. Lost the ball in the build up to the penalty. Very poor.
Santos - 2 I said at half time that he looked half paced and it didn’t improved. A stupid lunge through the back of the man for the penalty. I assume he will be banned for 2 matches now.
Toal - 4 Not as bad as the others but part of a terrible defensive display by the team.
Ashworth - 4 Hardly an attacking move in him. He had his golden moments against Carlisle and Barnsley but is he an attacking wing back?
Sheehan - 4 Couldn’t get his passing going at all today.
Dempsey - 4 Started reasonably but couldn’t impact the game.
Thomason - 4 Took his goal well but it is hard to think of much else he contributed
Bodvarsson - 5 The front two looked reasonable and were a tad unlucky not to score
Mendes-Gomes - 5 Should have scored in the last minute of the 1st half but hit the keeper from 3 yards out.
Collins - 4 Came on to a losing position and couldn’t show much
Adeboyejo - 3 The usual dreadful ball control but, as with Collins, came on too late to change much.
Morley
Maghoma - Showed a bit of positive desire.

That’s the first time I’ve switched off my stream and gone out but it wasn’t down to our team it was the referee giving everything to Blackpool I think it was after the Jones free kick they scored from it seems it was a good move. I don’t know what to think about it should we just move on and get it sorted out on Tuesday 🤷♂️😡

Lennon, Parkinson, Hill all shared a single pot to urinate in. We were missing our leading goalscorer but had £1.25M worth of strikers on the bench.
Sharon I know you love Ian but you cannot love seeing money down the drain.
Deja vu and I've never known a promotion team to be so hit and miss. Not looking forward to Tuesday or the rest of the season to be honest.
Would love to see another coach have a go with this squad. We're so anchored down by this static system.

I’d love to know why we’ve had Collins since 12:00 Jan 31st and not played him!!
I mean ’really’ played him, even more so with Dion out injured and other ‘strikers’ hardly registering a shot at the target, save for the odd goal from CMG KDB and Vic here and there (hardly ripping up the scoring charts)
I’d also like to know why Evatt feels he cannot keep a winning momentum (Cambridge) and stick with the side that grafted so well to get that result (I know Taylor is injured but Ogbeta looks a prospect)
Just reading through some comments on Derby threads, crikey, it puts my moans into context. Anyone would think Derby were fighting relegation with some of the negativity towards Warne
I’m fearing a 2-1 defeat at the DW on Tuesday
