Just win Why am I so worried about this one? Because we can't win automatic promotion but we could possibly lose it tomorrow. Maybe that's not even true. Even without games in hand we're in this. But does seem like we are more Kevin Keegans Newcastle at the moment

Worry not guys, it’s all going to come right tomorrow as we get back to winning ways. Once those 3 points are in the bag the pressure increases on Pompey and Derby because it’s still in our hands and reinforcements are on the way. I’m actually looking forward to the tough games because psychologically the players know these matches will be hard and they have to turn up, especially away from home where I think the pressures slightly less. We owe both Blackpool and the pie eaters big time and I think this time they’ll get it. Pompey are in and out and to me seem to have had a fair amount of luck to keep where they are so if we’ve got nearly everybody back it’s time their luck ran out. Also we should remember that all the top teams still have to play each other so if we do our job we’ll be well set. A nervy but much needed win for the Wanderers tomorrow 1-2 with AC getting his first.

And after the games like Cambridge, Blackpool, Wigan, we then have to negotiate Derby A Portsmouth H Peterborough A Barnsley A In between the Oxford’s and Stevenage’s and not forgetting those banana skins that we tend to help out, those at the very bottom like Shrewsbury and Port Vale fighting for their lives Not as easy as we all thought it should have been, especially when we score 3 past a team that haven’t won in 17 and only gain ONE point There’s no more chances to burn Ian, we just have to get it right, starting tonight. Blow this and it’s goodbye Wanderers as all the negativity will kick in…… from me😬😬😬it already has😞😞 Come on Bolton Let’s do this ffs

How have Derby been allowed to sign Dwight Gayle and why didn’t we sign him on a short term contract he could be the answer for them. Anyway onto tonight I also have my reservations about the game as we all know how we tend to struggle against teams in your face so I expect another pain in the bottom night of slow slow quick quick slow side to side negative football and a much needed win COYWM

By the time we get to March 5th, we will all be level on games played and the table should give a better view of promotion prospects.

After the last few dropped points, and taking into account the upcoming run of away games, tonight is 100% a “must win” game.
We are now hitting a spell where our games in hand will be played and come the beginning of March we will all be level on games played so we need to close the gap.
I have a feeling that the manager may well swap the wing backs around again. Ogbeta may appear and maybe even Ramsay but, after his Northampton poor show, I hope not.
I also feel that he will slot Morley into midfield with perhaps Dempsey getting the “rest”.
Upfront, I would like Collins and Bodvarsson but expect Adeboyejo to be one of the starters.
Despite the number of missing injured players, we should have enough to beat Cambridge. Cambridge may have one eye on their upcoming local derby with Peterborough on Saturday lunchtime. Let’s hope so.
Whatever side we put out, we need to win. It may be a slog as our fluency had disappeared but I will go for a hard-though 2-0 win.

If so then that's fine. Like Jan Kirkoff. These signings seldom help the club usually they aren't up to speed.

Points taken davidm, my only issue is, Derby and Pompey seem to be doing it and winning, whereas we are dropping points unnecessarily Can one imagine if we fail the too 2 by 2 points!! (That’s the Charlton’s debacle we’ll end up blaming)

Why so negative rioch? Yes we have some tough games coming up but aren’t all games tough towards the end of the season? Win tonight and we’re level with Derby and 6 behind Pompey but still with games in hand and both to play. I just think Pompey have been very fortunate with some late decisions on penalties and goals and if that changes they can be caught. Let’s face it, if it hadn’t been for Dions awful miss at Pompey I’m convinced we’d have won that game. We didn’t but we can put it right when we play them at home. Sometimes I think it’s more difficult playing teams you believe you should beat rather than those you’re revved up for and know you’re going to be in a fight. Last season we stuffed Posh 5-0 away and Barnsley 3-0 away despite them being in good form so why not again with an arguably better squad this year. I’m honestly not worried about any game more than any other because it’s just as daunting for them as it is for us. As long as the players are up for it and do what’s expected we’ll win those games, especially with all our missing bodies back. Let’s start tonight with a decent win and 3 points. 😁

Strange looking attack tonight – Mendes-Gomes and Bodvarsson. Collins only on the bench.
I expected Ogbeta to come in but Taylor as well.

I’m not that sure I’ll be proved wrong but I’ll take 4 points however we get them 🙄 I think that’s a brilliant selection rioch very brave from IE. We need to win this one so it’s great to see such an attacking lineup. Ok it may backfire on Evatt but for me well done for trying something different. I’m really looking forward to seeing this tonight even though the changes might not work. I just hope they will and if they do we could be in for a big night. Let’s be bold and go for it.
