Have to show a little respect to the Cumbrians here and we have to be on it from minute 1 to minute 96 (as they like to score 96th minute equalisers, just ask Peterborough, Stevenage and Shrewsbury
All that said, they’ve
Won just ONCE in the league, but they’ve drawn FIVE and lost FIVE Scored EIGHT and conceded FOURTEEN
So all in all, if we start on the front foot, we could go into the international break on the back of a 4-0 hammering to them, but if we carry on playing like we did against Stevenage, especially in the second half, we could make life difficult for ourselves
COYWM Let’s do this⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Well these are just the games we usually lose so it’s hard to be really confident. We’ll certainly need more than one tomorrow though so let’s hope Vic com8ng back improves that side of things? We really should win this though if we seriously want to be considered automatic candidates, especially with Pompey and Oxford really pushing on and again they also both have more than winnable home games tomorrow so we need to win just to keep pace with them. I’m usually confident but I just think we’ll let ourselves down again in front of a big crowd and stutter to a 1-1 draw. Why am I being so pessimistic?

It's hard not to be confident apart from the Wigan blips we are pretty strong at home. Results often better than performances. We started the season with some really good habits like scoring early, settling the game down, doubling the lead and then killing it off and then Evatt gets a free pass to make his 5 changes.
Once again the injuries have played into our hands. Subs/finishers are limited and more considered with some tactical thought given. And again Santos missing means we generally get a positive result.
Team picks itself again mainly with only two debates Morley v Thomason and Vic vs Bod(you could throw Dan N in there but for me he really has to start earning a squad place and for that I would limit him to cup and B team games until he realises how fortunate he is to be getting a place in the squad of the first team.
2-0 for me.

Maybe it’s me just being a bit over pessimistic OM? My heAd tells me we should win comfortably but I know how we forever dem to cock things up in front of a big crowd when expectations are high as we’ve done so many times. Hopefully we won’t because a win into the break will leave us in a strong position when we come out with most of our wounded?

Looking forward to a good game today.
Based on what we’ve seen so far, we should be optimistic.
I am expecting a similar side to Tuesday, except upfront.
If I was manager I would bring Morley back in as I still believe that Sheehan, Morley & Dempsey is our best midfield.
I would also start Bodvarsson with Charles but that is just wishful thinking as I expect Adeboyejo to return.
I have a good feeling about today so a 3-0 win.

Despite a good League position and good form I wouldn't put Bolton on my accumulator because I've not really got confidence in then. Think it is because the games are so tight often decided by a single goal. Even that amazing L2 campaign still remember nail biting and fortunate wins with stoppage time goals against lowly opponents. I'd be happy with Morley instead of GT as I see us getting close to 80% of the ball today so in theory lose the tackler for a passer. Question is this season who is better on the ball between Morley and GT? I think Morley has been a real disappointment. Probably the disappointment of the year. Dan Nlundulu and Jerome may play a part in that.

Another 3 points today should be the order of the day but it will be tough as they will be a very scrapping type of team so we need to get stuck in from the off I’ll go for a hard fought 2-1 win COYWM

My pessimism comes from our seeming lack of ability to succeed against teams that sit in and hope to catch us on the break which is exactly what I expect from Carlisle. I don’t think for a minute that they’ll come to attack us as Stevenage did so it will probably be another slowly, slowly sideways wait for a hole to appear in the Carlisle defence and as we can see they’ve been pretty resolute so far this season so breaking them down won’t be easy. I also think Morley might be preferable to start as he’s more likely to pop one from a shot than George and as others say we probably need more of a passer than a tackler. Bod or Vic up front is the other question and from a goals perspective I’d go with Dion and Vic but whilst Victor has recovered from his knee injury it may be better starting Bod and bringing Victor on later? Either way IE will probably start neither and continue with Dan??

So far, Baxter is the only one doing the bizzo (24 mins)
I agree chip, 5 minutes, corner chance at goal and it ends up with Baxter, then free kick that was borderline pathetic
Dion’s touch has been heavy, Vic looks in good shape but not really tested their keeper, but midfield so far have been off it
Come on WHITES
