I cannot imagine any other reason than to stick with the winning side that started (not finished) the game at Wembley, apart from injuries (possibly to Toal)
I don’t believe I gave a minutes thought to any of the names of the recent additions (Adeboyejo, Shoretire, Mbete, Randell W) whilst watching us against Argyle and therefore do they really need to be thrust upon us for the trip to Devon??
Bench for the lot of them but I’d give Jerome a chance before Vic
It’s going to be one of those games I can see it, tight compact ground against a Gary Caldwell side that will frustrate you and battle you as he did when he managed Wigan Pathetic, crikey, this man’s been sacked more times than the Watford managers put together😂😂😂
I’m not sure what their ground can hold but it’s already a sell out (such is the draw of the magnificent BWFC)
Victory here could be a bigger result than Sunday and hopefully cement our play off position
I really do fancy us to go all the way if we put in a good run for these last 8 games (88 points has to be the target we finish on)
COYWM Let’s do this⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Yes, agree with all you've said. Really gutted about Toal. Apparently may not play again this season. Thought the referee made his decision too quickly to get out the yellow card.Should have checked on Toal and then sent the coward off. Big game this one. Hopefully a win.

Be tough to pick the team tomorrow. You obviously think coming off that performance just go again(obviously with Toal being replaced with either Johnson or Mbete) but we won't know how much that took out of them. Travel, energy, then the amount they covered and as you always see there is always the risk of complacency or maybe just difficult to match that.
And let's face it if the cup tied rule was abolished you would think Shoretire and Adeboyejo probably start.
Sort of forget that we're in pretty poor form going into this. Got a feeling every club will forget form and an 8 game(ish) mini season starting from tomorrow.
Decision. Same team with George Johnson in and Adeboyejo leading the line. Thinking being that I don't think Kachunga should be offered a contract next season. So our pairing will be Charles and Vic. Therefore park the sentiment and play the team we are shaping for.

Anyone see that Lucas Moura challenge on the Everton player on Monday?? No lesser a dirty tackle than the two our lads suffered from Moyar and Cosgrove and yet Moura saw a straight red, Cosgrove only receiving a yellow (and no retrospective action can be taken because of that yellow) Toal has had his faults but he has grown into the side and has been 80% steady, we will miss him at a crucial time whilst Cosgrove can help his team to automatic promotion!!!

Absolutely. And that's the point I made. Both teams got a red but Dacoures push in the face was little risk of any serious injury. Mouras could have ended a career. Don't think there's hyperbole there. For seriously bad challenges I think there should be referred to a panel and they should decide whether to extend a ban. Or in our case issue a ban retrospectively. And those silly petulant shoves maybe would be better if they had a 10/15m sinbin as it doesn't make sense to me that the result of those two challenges are the same. Sure Toal would have preferred a little push to his cheek.

Well now the dust has settled after our win at Wembley I have a feeling this could be a case of after the Lord Mayor show. As much as I don’t think Kachunga is a striker I do believe he should start today as a combative midfielder breaking up play and the three players that were cup tied should not just walk into the team have them on the bench. It’s not going to be easy but I’m going for a 2-2 draw onwards and upwards COYWM

Not sure about retrospective punishments OM, it will just lead to a multitude of incidents being examined. Referees and officials need to get it right on the pitch without the need for panels deciding on further action because if we can’t rely on officials to do it right then get better officials. I’m not even a fan of VAR, because that doesn’t always ensure the right decision but I think everyone in the ground, including Argyle fans recognised Cosgroves tackle as both dangerous and totally unnecessary. The speed at which he came in and the height of his foot should have been obvious to a qualified referee yet he offered only a yellow. Clearly he couldn’t have realised the seriousness of Toals injury but that should be irrelevant in the circumstances. Sadly there appear to be no punishments for refs despite Mr Toner getting two obvious red card tackles so badly wrong. 🥴

Probably our hardest game in the run in today.
I am still on a high from Wembley – hopefully the players have come down to earth faster than me.
I tend to agree on the line up – Johnston in for Toal and the rest the Wembley starters. Which for me is almost heresy – saying that Kachunga should start but he had his best ever performance in a white shirt on Sunday and, therefore, deserves to start.
As everyone has said, Exeter are on a good run but so were Barnsley when we went there, so were Peterborough when we went there so no reason for us to be unduly worried.
I expect a much harder game but I think we will grind out a 1-0 victory.

Now that just could make a difference, certainly not the game you want to be without Rico, especially after his recent imperious form. Not much cover now at centre back and being a groin injury that could be an extended loss. With Toal also injured for the season that really makes us light and I’m not sure that we have much in the B Team that can come in. Bloody typical of us over recent years suffering injury to key players. Hopefully Rico’s situation is only temporary and he’s back for Monday because we know how Cambridge play and without Toal and Rico’s height we could be in for difficult day?

Brilliant goal from Bradley tucked it under the advancing goalkeeper that’s better now let’s go and put them under more pressure onwards and upwards COYWM

Halftime 1-0 but I’m still not convinced with our teams lacking attacking options we need to be hitting shots from all over and around the 18 yard box but still 1-0 up onwards and upwards COYWM

A bit of a struggle that.
A great goal – the pass and the finish.
We have had a couple of chances to set Charles clear but each time we overhit the pass.
Defensively, we look iffy in the air. Each time the ball comes into the area, we look unsure.
We need to speed up our play a bit and be more solid in defence.
