Assume if its not been called off yet its full steam ahead.
I would start Charles simply for his goal on Friday and his memory of last season. And we'll if JDB is out then no real option.
Got a feeling will be a 2-1 defeat.

I didn’t expect this to survive the weather based on how frozen everywhere has been but Shrewsbury have tweeted “For anyone still concerned, the pitch covers have done their job! We are all set for our 12:30 kick-off!!”
So here we go. We have a few injuries - Bodvarsson, Thomason, Santos, Dempsey, Aimson and Isgrove – but we also have a big squad.
I see the same defence set up – not quite sure about Beck yet, maybe Iredale might be stronger.
Williams will replace Thomason.
I would find a place for Lee in the 11 although Kachunga will probably get that spot with Charles upfront.
Hopefully the pitch will not be too hard and we can play on it OK.
With all our shortcomings in the air at the back, I can’t see us keeping a clean sheet but today we will score.
Many happy memories of visits to Shrewsbury so am quietly confident – a 3-1 win.

Crikey David that’s ambitious to say the least. I hope you’re right but unfortunately I’m just lacking a bit of confidence in us at the moment and with Rico out I fear for us at the back from set pieces. I originally went for 2-0 to Wanderers but the more I think about it I’m going to be a bad fan and say 2-1 to the Shrews!! 🙁

Subs – Dixon, Bodvarsson !!, Bakayoko, Aimson, Kachunga, Sithole, Khumbeni.
No Morley anywhere and Bodvarsson fit AND a keeper on the bench!

don't know if that's a genuine bench or just the typical mid December plea for more funds from Shazza. please Miss can i have some more ?
first team still looks strong enough to get the job done. in a League where there seems to be a top 10 and all rest are fighting
against relegation, the Shrews are about as midtable as you can get. few threats but good keeper seems to make them defensively a hard'ish nut to crack .
as i type...1-0 down..early again. !?

Dreadful defending by Jones and Johnston for their early goal.
Decent after that and a lovely pass from Lee and then a good pass from Jones for Charles’ goal.
Shrewsbury are quite basic – high balls and lots of running. They are giving us problems by tackling our defenders and getting a lot of scrambles.
We are the best team and need just to be a bit better upfront.
