Not the best of recent records v AccyStan (apart from the last victory 3-1)
Is John Coleman still boss? Yes!! = defeat for us then😬😬
What is it with these Barrow/Chorley type grounds that we cannot string 2 passes together? Also, it’s heading towards Christmas where we always seem to fall by the wayside Sure we should use this game to buck the trend and start doing something rather than having to rely on the gamble of a decent January window again
1-1

We are due a win of some kind our defence seems to have sorted itself out all be it with a few hearts in mouth moments but on the whole ok. Midfield needs a shake up now and again and it's about time Dapo was played in the position he played with great effect last season and it's time our strikers stepped up to the plate and found the back of the net. All that said we will struggle because Ian has already built them and their ground up, so we have a readymade excuse if we get beat. I'll stick my neck out again 2-1 win onwards and upwards COYWM

Hard to say what to expect on Saturday because we don’t know what team Evatt’s going to put out, other than Izzy replacing Bradley with his suspension. Will he take anything from Tuesdays excellent and more expansive performance and be more creative, or will he revert back to the safety first approach and high press with the likes of MJ and Rico slowing things down again? I don’t know but my feeling is that we should be going to places like Accrington expecting to overrun them and hammer them, not be considering it’s some kind of overly hard and intimidating place to go. Let’s face it, half the ground will be loud and supportive Wanderers fans so how can they feel intimidated when surely it should be the other way round. I’d like to see Evatt being bold on Saturday and even rewarding those who played against Leeds by starting with the same eleven. We know he won’t do that of course and it’ll be little changed from last week with a defensive midfield and slow possession based system. I’d like to see Dapo returned to the left side and also Sadlier given a run up top alongside either Bod or Dion instead of Kachunga all the time. I’d even play the same midfield and leave out MJ to see how it goes. I just want us to play a higher tempo instead of Rico doing his usual walking pace slowing down of the game. We should be winning this and I think we will so I’ll go for a 2-0 win for Wanderers as long as Evatt changes things.

When I picture the match in my head can see us being too fast, too strong. Go agrresive and play with intent and get back with a 3-0 win.
Then I think what Ian will be telling his team. System works just need to finish the chances when we get them. We play a lack lustre way all the while frustrations grow. Heads drop and when that half chance comes and goes it really feels like here we go again.
Presume we keep the same system. Was going to say i'd put John in ahead of Iredale. Charles HAS to start with fire in his belly, sadly for Sadlier I would keep Bod in that team and Lee or Dapo as 10. MJ may be the right kind of player but alongside Morley?
Go on, Ian prove me wrong and get a 3 nil.

Can we sign this Langstaff kid at Notts County, he can’t stop scoring
Mind you, Evatt could soon put paid to that if he joined us😂😂

A match that we definitely must win.
After the Cheltenham and Forest Green debacles, it is essential we get back on track if promotion is to be a realistic aim.
I am assuming that we will revert back to norm (whatever that is these days!) after the Leeds U21s match so I expect the normal back 3 but the wing back positions are up for grabs. After Tuesday, I think that Isgrove will be right wing back and then it’s between Iredale and John for left wing back. I think the manager favours Iredale but I would have John there as a more attacking option.
Williams will return in midfield and I assume that Thomason will also start. This disappoints me as I feel it is too much of a negative approach and would favour Morley there.
I would then have Lee, Afolayan, Bodvarsson and Charles but the manager does tend to favour Kachunga.
Accrington lost 3-0 at home last Saturday but they did miss 2 penalties and Derby’s goals were breakaways so we mustn’t be complacent.
Hopefully, though, this will be an attacking display with a 2-1 win.

I often wondered why Morley wasn't playing unless it was defensive to play Thomason, I would love to see us attack the crap out of some teams and let them worry about us for change, but I don't think that's going to happen as we have to have possession at all cost COYWM

If you wonder why I cant take to Evatt go and read his views on Sadlier.
A really begrudging take on a player who has delievered what we needed despite it not really being in Evatts masterplan.
Its not good enough just to score goals. Well it is to me Ian. Then he brings back the work that gets unnoticed that Kachunga does. (It is not unnoticed, please dont go down the Dougie road of these guys know nothing). There needs to me more than just a press. Otherwise we could field a Jack Russell up front(will run that by the rule book)
Is Kachunga anyones favourite player. Doubtful but does he get a torrent of absuse every time he turns out? Is there an echo of boos when his name is announced? Nope. If he has a good game he will be clapped off. What is Ian seeing that makes him have these views?
Whole bit stunk of "thats not what I wanted to happen" like the managers son went off injured and the sub came on and won the game.
Reminds me of last summer before the euros when Southgate was asked about a good Grealish performance going into the tournament. He played it down and talked about Mason Mount for 10 minutes. Ian doesnt want to change his thinking.

Interesting team news. Very attacking team Who plays left wing back – Afolayan? Looks like Dapo Davidm, so at least he’s back in the team and on the left where he can do some damage. That’s a much better team and should create far more than we have recently. No reason we shouldn’t win this comfortably so 0-2 to Wanderers.

1-0 down after 8 minutes could have been 2 shocking defending COYWM

Pathetic start again
Got used to this so often last season, it’s reared it’s ugly head again
AccyStan are all over us (as expected)
Time for Evatt to go
Everyone score 3 past these Until we arrive in town

Another goaless half. How many hours since our last league goal? Nearly 6 hours at a quick calculation. We are basically a long ball team set up as a team designed to play out from defence. Guess what, it doesn't work. Set pieces pathetic as always.

Just not good enough.
Rank bad defending initially by Williams and Santos combined and then the left side of our defence was totally open for an easy goal.
Playing Afolayan means that we have no left back/wing back – there is acres of space down that side.
Midfield not passing well enough.
Bodvarsson shot wide from our only real chance.
We had umpteen corners – all hopeless
No shots on target again. We are just being outmuscled and Accrington launching balls at us which we are struggling to control. Both wings are wide open as we have 2 attackers in the wing back positions.
