We’re allowed ONE bad performance in a season and I’d say we’ve just witnessed it, so, no more……
JUST WIN
I do fear us tomorrow. Again, another small ground with tight pitch, another team most would expect us to beat and they have conceded 15 times. Luckily for them, our strikers generally only score from penalties No doubt he’ll revert back to Kacha !!
Instead of worrying about what they could do to us and go all defensive with the back 3 constantly attempting to bore the opposition into submission with non inventive sideways passing, why don’t we go all out offensive and let them worry about us. We should start with Dion Bod Kacha and have Dapo on, as well as Bradders and then really go for it

Probably I’m being a bit stupid here but I’m not really worried about tomorrow and think we’ll win comfortably. Mind you, I thought that last Tuesday!! I agree we’re allowed one bad performance and boy was that bad although to be fair I thought Cheltenham were much better than I anticipated and fully deserved to win. In fact we might have had a job beating them even with our good team since we can’t seem to find the net at the moment. So on to tomorrow and I think it will be pretty much back to the same team as last Saturday with Dion and Kachunga up top, Lee creating in midfield and Bradley tearing it up down the right. I’m changing my opinion of Kacha because he’s worked so hard and although he never looks like scoring does work well with Dion to put defences under pressure. It’s Dion h8mself that has missed the chances really so if he can only start to find a bit of form things could improve quickly. I would though like to see Dapo restored to the left wing, however Evatt fits him in. He’s not a striker or a true No10 and when playing up the left side ties up several defenders which must create space for our forwards. It’s hard to argue with what Evatt’s doing because we’re still in the top six but should we lose again tomorrow I genuinely think serious questions should be asked about IE’s current thinking. Would it though with Saint Sharon?

I also think it is time to restore Dapo to the position where he excelled last season. and also to play John in the supporting role behind him, I don't know if there are ongoing questions about John's commitment, but without his thrust there we have really been operating with only one wing through Bradley and Jones, and that makes for very unbalanced attacking. It is time also to look to Charles becoming more a true attacker rather than a midfield to last third spoiler, which job Kachunga has also been doing very well, but do we need two doing the same thing? With regard to the defence, and although so far Johnston is getting good reviews, I would consider leaving him out and replacing him with Iredale. I would also hope the entire defence heads better when corners come in. We gave a lot of ball away on Tuesday with panic clearances. Obviously Lee should come in, though we cannot leave Sheehan's creativity out for much longer. I don't like to forecast blindly, but if asked I'd hope for a 0-3.

An important match today after Tuesday’s awful performance.
Win and all is rosy, lose and a mini-crisis.
I expect the team to revert pretty much back to the Lincoln team which means Bradley, Lee and Kachunga back.
Iredale was pretty poor on Tuesday so there might be a call for John. He may not be as good defensively as Iredale but attack wise he is much better.
I am still uncomfortable with both Williams and Thomason in midfield as it gives a negative defensive approach to the team. Whilst I acknowledge that Thomason has played well recently I would like to see Morley back in the team.
I’ll be disappointed if Kachunga starts because removing one of Charles or Bodvarsson (presumably Bodvarsson) to accommodate him again tends to make us less positive. Kachunga playing, for all his pressing and running, turns us into a 1-man attack.
And with all this, still no Afolayan. Somehow we need him in the left wing berth.
I watched Forest Green on Sky the other week at home to Exeter and Exeter hammered them. They hammered them by attacking strongly from the kick-off. No messing around at the back – just straight forward strong attacking. Forest Green were awful that day and appear to have been awful at home all season – played 6 won 1 lost 5. Scored 4, conceded 14. That’s a dreadful record so I hope and expect us to go at them from the start today.
We should dominate and I’ll go for a 2-0 win.

Not sure we can accommodate John back in the side Davidm if we’re going to have Dapo on the left instead of Iredale and it would upset Evatts system of wing backs. Also leaving Kachunga out for either Bod or Baka affects his high press. Despite Tuesdays no show the system has been pretty successful so far so I don’t expect it to change meaning for me the same starting 11 as Lincoln and to be fair that should be more than good enough to win. Given FGR’s terrible form this ought to be the easiest away game of the season and looking on their fan board it looks like they agree anticipating a 3 or 4 goal beating. I’ll take half that as long as we get the 3 points.

Another terrible performance.
Santos didn’t bother marking again for the goal.
The team layout is much too negative.
If the wing backs aren’t functioning, which they aren’t, we are stymied.
Midfield is dreadful – Thomason is playing deeper than Williams – we don’t need 2 defensive midfield players.
One poor shot and that is all we have done.

We have got to get some goalscorers on and play 20 yards farther up the pitch. All our possession is in our half.
Stop this endless messing about at the back as it is achieving nothing.
Take Thomason, Kachunga off and maybe even John and go flat back 4.
Bodvarsson, Morley Afolayan on.
Please try attacking – get some bodies in their box.
