aiming to keep this one fairly brief, as I feel we know a decent amount about them.
they are 23rd in the away table. played 17. 2 wins, lost 12, drew 3. conceded 37. over 2 per game !!
away games against sides currently in the top 10. played 8. lost 7. drew 1. conceded 2+ in EVERY SINGLE GAME. & that record of conceding 2 or more in every single away game goes down as far as the top 18 teams. only away to 19th place Fleetwood did they get a 2-1 win. only 1 other away win, and that was vs Crewe. 3-1.
we know they've got a few threats up front. Stockton, 18 goals, though he hasn't scored a goal for a month. Adam Phillips also useful. 5 goals. 6 assists. ( on loan from Burnley ). Ayunga (5 goals) and Gnahoua (2 goals , 4 assists) also useful on their day.
last time out, they lost 2-0 to Plymouth. although, both sides had 4 shots on target, so they put up a decent fight by the sound of it.
the best case you can make for them is their Manager Derek Adams. he's back with them after ditching them to go to Lge 2 Bradford. surprised they took him back. but he did a top job with them last season, over-achieving on that budget . he had them right up for it at the UniBol last season...fighting for every ball .
prediction : was tempted with 4-0, but seeing as they put up a decent fight against Plymouth, and they are fighting for their lives, i'll go 3-0. possibly a tight 1st half 0-0 or 1-0 to us. then a couple of late ones when they tire against us.

I'm not sure I would take that Sunday league coach back if he left us to go down a league. His antics were juvenile at Morecambe last season and im not sure where all the bitterness came from but obvious those fans still had a chip on thier shoulder with us this season.
Maybe they didnt like our fans turning up at the stadium, which wasnt really in keeping with the restrictions at the time. We were well worth 3 points, had they not have hacked Dapo at every chance they may have kept 11 men on and made a game of it.
Draw wont do. Win all the home games to give an error of margin for the away. No excuses really. Need a win.

Yes I agree, OohMac – a win is essential. There is a lot of play made about having 6 out of the last 10 matches at home. 3 of those home games are difficult – Plymouth, Portsmouth and Sheff Wed so it is vital to win the so-called “easier” games and keep the pressure on the others. I am one for the “don’t change a winning team” philosophy. If Jones is available, Yes bring him back and maybe leave Williams out because of possible suspension. This will be an emotive game but we need to play it as a normal home game – dominate the opposition and win. There are a number of games which affect our rivals tonight:- Crewe v Portsmouth Ipswich v Lincoln MK Dons v Cheltenham Plymouth v Wimbledon Sunderland v Fleetwood
All of those are unfortunately very winnable for our rivals so it is essential we get 3 points tonight. Play as we played on Saturday and we will win – 2-0

They might all be winnable on paper davidm, just like ours should be, but funny things happen at this point in the season so if one or more of those happen tonight, hopefully not to us, things can change pretty quickly. We can’t affect anybody else’s scores so we have to just concentrate on our own and obviously 3 points tonight is essential.
If I was going to pick out potential banana skins from that list tonight though, I think I’d go for Sunderland and Ipswich but most likely they’ll all win and nothing will change!! 😉

Another game we need to win to keep up with the top 6 it should be be straight forward but we don't do straight forward so 2-1 will have to do. Stay safe one and all COYWM

Just come on from work and we are 1-nowt down
So, let me get this straight, Bodvarsson scores (in a game where he was probably our best player v Gills) and is dropped to the bench for the following game
Evatt, what are you doing??? Stop fkn tinkering with a winning side ffs😡😡😡

I’m not even excited with that equaliser
He should have been on from the start
I’ll take the point but talk about dejavu!! Replica of the away game, late late equaliser

sloppy sloppy performance. both in terms of finishing 1st half, then conceding the goal. like Hawk said, could have easily been 2-0 with another gaffe. Jekyll and Hyde !! looked like could be 10-0 in 1st half, but then go behind ,and hardly create a chance.
is it all over now? certainly feels so. especially with every result going against us. still a chance mathematically especially if can win those heads to heads.

Reminded me of games v York and Carlisle as we pushed for promotion in the Seventies. All over them, but couldn't finish. Tip tapping at the back again and too frantic at the front. What a pity Charles has lost his goalscoring touch. That was one of the games that should have been a banker in our play-off push. Now we have to win even more.
