Had fans been allowed in to this non league Sunday teams ground, It would have had a feel, similar to the away game at Boothferry Park all them years ago, where the Trotters completely took over their ground and witnessed, in my era, the best night at an away game when Diddy David Lee whipped in a cross which was eventually turned in by SuperJohn for a 2-1 victory v Hull City and a pitch invasion like no other “Dave Higgsons best commentary were reserved for that night”
The historians at BWFC should be showing videos of that night to our current crop of players to let them really see what they are missing and what they could contribute to with a win at this pathetic Penninsula ‘Stadium’ but also, the historians should show them videos of our victory at Man Urinals when Nolan and Ricketts stole the show because that’s how I see this game, I see it as Wanderers v MUFC based purely on the ‘Class of 92’ owners Beckham, Butt, Scholes, Neville, Giggs
On Tuesdays game, I fear a really tough outing, but given my pathetic predictions at the weekend where I only got 1 right, I’m going to go for a Salford victory 2-1 and see if my failings continue (hope Baptiste and Santos can handle Henderson)

Ha, like the reverse forecast rftr, let’s hope your run of incorrect predictions continues!! Just to even things up a bit, I’ll go for the same score but to Wanderers. Frankly, I don’t see any team in this league that can live with us as long as we keep the tempo up and stop dropping into this slowly, slowly, lethargic mode, which they tend to do in the name of retaining possession. Keeping possession is great as long as when you do break, you do it at pace instead of the low tempo we have recently. The pass and move of our second half on Saturday, prompted by the arrival of George T was the complete opposite of the pass and stay rubbish of the first half. I suspect we won’t see Mads on Tuesday, yet like Evatt, I still believe he’ll deliver before the season ends. I just wish IE would play him wide left to see how he does, because I believe working with John and Dapo, could be a real threat. Anyway, I don’t expect that but I do expect 3 points and anything less will be disappointing.

The last time we ever faced Salford was, of course, the last time we saw the back of Billy Crellin and Gilkesy came in for his debut Straight away, we won 2 nowt and jumped from 20th to 15th in the league Results after that game were really mixed, from beating Cheltenham to getting thrashed by Port Vale and then to drawing with Cheltenham to getting beaten at home by Crawley Town ffs I’ll certainly take the luck of the Gilks for the Salford game so long as we go on to see the season out and gain promotion one way or another
We can do this, just hope we don’t go sideways and backwards for 80 minutes and wait for a 94th minute winner😬😬😬 COYWM ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

I suspect we won’t see Mads on Tuesday, yet like Evatt, I still believe he’ll deliver before the season ends. Not now, unfortunately. Seems like living alone in the hotel has worn him down. Good luck to him in the future.

I must have been on another planet
When did Salford sack Richie Wellens???
They don’t deserve to be owners of a football club that ‘Class of 92’ that’s their 3rd manager in 2 years and they’re going to get a bad reputation in their quest for Premier League status
Gary Bowyer - aka Phil Parkhoofson style football so we’d better be on our mettle
If we could turn Salford over on Tuesday, by the time the Grimsby game has finished on Saturday (if we win that too) we could be TOP

It seems sacking managers is in fashion again Rftr, Salford binned Wellens and FGR have binned Mark Cooper after 5 years during which time he got them into L2 (beating Trashmere yoohoo!!) and now pushing for L1 and with one of the smallest budgets in the EFL. Just what do owners expect? Apart from selling some of his best players he was then hit against us, with losing his main striker! Talk about unfair? Anyway, let’s see which grass eating, green guzzling manager goes there now and I hope it backfires and they get relegated back to the conference where they belong. Can’t stand that idiot owner anyway, possibly even less than the classless of 94!

Another vital match.
All matches are going to be vital until the end of season unless we win the next 5 and are up before the final game.
A lot of games again tonight
Morecambe v Scun thorpe United Barrow v Exeter City Newport County v Carlisle United Walsall v Tranmere Rovers
I am a bit cautious about tonight – we must equal Tranmere points from their trip to Walsall.
If we can repeat the performances against Forest Green & Newport, we should get a win.
After going 6 matches without a win, Salford have won their last 2 so we may have to deal with a bit of form from them.
I have a feeling that Delfouneso may return tonight, in place of Afolayan with Thomason also in midfield. This probably means that Lee will play the number 10 role – shooting boots at the ready.
Maybe a bit over confident but a 1-0 win

I’m not at all cautious David, we should win this comfortably if we play anything like. I’m not fooled by Salford’s two wins, they struggled on both but that said, they do have players up top that can hurt you if you give them space, especially Henderson but I don’t expect him to be a match for Rico and Baps.
He probably will leave George in and also start Delf again. IE must see something we don’t in him to keep playing him so maybe he does things off camera that we don’t see because he certainly does little on it! I hope we’re wrong and Dapo starts instead because I’d like us to get an early goal for a change instead of always starting slowly. At least it should be an open game because if Salford are going to make the play offs they need a result. A draw wouldn’t be disastrous for us but after throwing 5 points away over Easter we really need a win to put more space behind us. Two wins this week and we’d really have to slip up badly to miss out on top 3 so let’s get the points on the board so any potential slip shouldn’t be disastrous. I think 2-0 to Wanderers tonight without finger nail biting.

Sadly I live just 5 minutes from this ground and I can’t get in. Back in the old days, around 10 yrs ago, you could watch the game from the road at Moor Lane as you walked past Kersal is a shit hole and any away fans cars parked around the ground would deffo get damaged so I’m glad I’m not travelling there. The pitch was a right state the last time I saw it so that could be another ‘hiccup Newport affair’ if we’re not careful

I think it’ll take more than a poor pitch to help Salford out tonight rftr, I feel a drubbing coming for them.

Well I can get both on my iPad but only picture on my 52” TV from my lap top which also has no sound so it’s a dilemma as I like the sound, even if it’s not commentary. Decisions, decisions!! I think since I’ve had problems before with this lap top I’m going to have to ditch it and get a new one. Ive decided to go with pictures for now and I’ll see how it goes up to half time!
