Basically felt like a pre-season game. Yes were 12 points behind, (maybe 15 or 16 pending) but this is not a Bassini quick fix pipe dream but few questions if you dont mind Chip?
Who impressed? I hear Zouma was very good? And where do you think we need to strengthen? Will any of the debutants play a part? Who was in the dug out and if it was Phil did he look like this was his job for the long haul?
Can you elaborate on the Magennis chants? Anything on FV, Ken and Bassini.
Feel real sorry for Basini, hard to see the club youve loved for weeks losing on a Saturday.
Feels like a massive step forward to get a game on, brockbank signed up and just hope we can get a few through the door.

If we put aside for a moment all the emotional stuff about boys being asked to do men’s jobs (true), I’m afraid that this had all the hallmarks of a Parky plan and performance. 4-4-1-1 , and the two upfront, Oztumer and Brown very lightweight and small, it was clear that we’d be on the back foot for most of the game, with little or no attacking threat and, once the inevitable happened and we went one down it was game over. Sound familiar? Unfortunately it was. Like so may times last year, a brave performance by the youngsters especially was always going to end in defeat. 2-0 this time, but by the end it could have been six. No real plan, no real idea of trying to put a pretty mediocre Wycombe under pressure. Just a typical Parky away day.
I was impressed with both Zouma and Edwards who coped with the physicality very well, Brockbank and Politic showed they have the ability to thrive at this level and none of the youngsters let themselves down. Sadly Matthews again spoiled an otherwise good performance with another utter howler to gift the first and a fair bit of dithering with crosses. I never thought I’d say this, but maybe alnwick should get a chance to stake a claim. Lowe hardly suggested he was going to thrive at this level, a weak effort to block the first header which led to the second goal typified an uninspiring performance. Murphy and Oztumer were also unimpressive.
It’s clear that FV have fiddled about far too long. We need a coherent and positive football plan ( which must be without Parky) and we need it immediately. Otherwise we will score far too few goals to give ourselves any chance of avoiding another drop.

That seems to sum up my feelings very well. It is obvious Parky once again went for a draw or a 0-1. As usual we seemed to have little or no goal attepts. To make use of these youngsters' enthusiasm we need a old head organiser and a new manager urgently. Looking forward to urging them on v Coventry next week, but we must attck.

A result to be expected.
It is a roaring certainty that we won’t score or get attempts on goals (or even corners today)
With so many young lads on, I think we were fortunate to meet a team in Wycombe who are likely to be down near the bottom this season. Could have been worse if we had met a top side.
One thing that disappointed though – our 3 “senior” outfield players – Lowe, Murphy & Oztumer were all in midfield but we could not create or dominate in that area.
Why?
The stars were the young defenders.

Agree with all of that Alp, as long as Parkys in charge nothing will change either football or results wise. Hopefully FV will have seen today that the fans deserve so much better than Parkinson can provide.

Good evening just got back first things first I would like to say a big thank you to the Wycombe manager who stood in the penalty area and applauded our fans now I have seen cattesback on the ben saying Parky applauded from the touch line well whoopy do is it to much to come over to the fans and thank them, to him officiously not. Now the game I agree with Alptrotter it looked like a 4-4-1-1 set up NOT to get beat. First Matthews made a mistake running out to try to clear the ball but there attacker just took it round him and scored and for me that was the only mistake anybody on the field made.
Zouma for a young centre back played really well looked after the back four like an old pro hope he's signed up for the season or two. Brockbank and Politic had some good touches showed good promise. Oztumer was very poor, Lowe in and out of the game the rest of the young lads played well tried hard BUT there seemed to be no attacking what's so ever I think there keeper had 1 catch to make and 0 saves. The fans let MAGENNIS know he was a winker the Andersons and the EFL got a lot of fxck you's . Over all it was a good day out and I have to say a big thank you to the Wycombe Police for push starting my car as the battery was flat hahahaha. P.S 63 I'm with you all the way get rid of Parky play some football and we might just stay up . COYWM

Ive given PP a pass today, he had to keep it tight today a mauling would have done no one any good. Problem is that tactic is used home and away for 3 years now. There is a club to support. There was a football match. That is a shot in the arm for 1800 fans. Im telling you now that relief, the enthusiasm will not last if the tactics stay as they are. This crowd will once again turn and they will turn on Teflon man. Jurassic Parkinson. But has he got a contract and if not why was he there with David Lee's players?

The fans and the players were fantastic yesterday but and I will keep saying this Parky will not get us the wins we need to stay up by setting his teams out defending yes we had 61% possession but no shots on target we have to at least try to attack. The only reason Parky is still in charge is because nobody else wants him and we can't afford to sack him. Sorry fellow fans for going on about it but it's hard watching your team having no shots on target and making there keeper earn his money. COYWM

I can only imagine the fantastic atmosphere yesterday Chip, so well done to you and the others for creating it. I’m a little perplexed though by your comment that we are only keeping Parky because we can’t afford to sack him. There is no cost to sacking him surely? He isn’t under contract because if he was the situation would be clear, as it is with the remaining players under contract. His oft quoted rolling contract terminated with Anderson leaving so it will cost us nothing to see the back of him and I hope that’s exactly what FV do immediately they take over. Let’s hope that’s before Coventry on Saturday so that we can all celebrate together and even possibly try to win the game!!
