IF
And it’s a BIG IF, this battle does happen, how can one predict anything other than an away defeat???
What a pessimistic start for the new campaign, but sadly, that’s the continuing legacy we have with Parkhoofson still in the chair. Never ever thought I’d see the day when the battle of the Wanderers didn’t involve The Trotters and the Old Gold’s but that’s football for you I guess.
I’ll be just as happy to see us put out any sort of team that’s acceptable to the EFL (The biggest culprit of our demise)
So I’ll start with a battling Bolton performance but a 3-0 defeat.
Oh, by the way, if Football Ventures are to be our saviour then heaven help us!!!!!

Doubt the game will take place and if it does, our lastminute "team" of unprepared, unfit individuals will likely go down by at least four or five goals. Maybe I should wait two or three hours before posting, but I imagine that we and possibly Bury will not be participating in the league this season. What makes me mad is that that should be big news, but the BBC website opens with articles on Gareth Bale and how Man U are evolving under Ole Gunner....

Well, we're still in existence, so far. Not sure if I understand this "borrowing 2 million" from the PFA, if it's true. Isn't this just prolonging the agony?
Almost like having a 100 quid in your pocket, whilst shopping, buying something for 150 and using your credit card at the checkout, 'cos you couldn't afford it.
Suppliers will have their guard up with this news, that's for sure.

Once season ticket money and gate receipts come in might be able to do that. They have probably explored all creditors and thought that at least with football creditors there is a body who can help so may as well try.

Yet another resignation at tv. Jeff Thomas. Pity as he was a main money man. Now looks as though something gone terribly, and mainly finally wrong foFV.

I know the game was passed but how?
We have 6 players and im not even sure PP is under any contract. The deal does not appear to be any nearer with Thomas resignation maybe further away. The half dozen havent played in front of a crowd(maybe preperation)
Really thought we would be in the same boat as Bury. But fair play if youve bought a ticket.

Yet another resignation at tv. Jeff Thomas. Pity as he was a main money man. Now looks as though something gone terribly, and mainly finally wrong foFV. Something not right about this kenglo. He was only appointed in March of this year and resigns straight after convincing the EFL that everything is cosy in the financing department. Almost like you go to the bank for a mortgage, convince everyone that you're capable of paying it back, based on your employment and then lose/quit the job the day after the money is in the bank and your feet are up in the house you just bought. The saga continues...

Yes, it's peculiar. It says on the BN site that he was a member of three FV boards, but has only resigned from two.....but why? On another front do you notice another name on the BN Wanderers reporting. Maybe someone at Newsquest H.O. is sending in scouts to get to the bottom of things. If so, about time,. don't you think? With the involvemrnt of thr PFA there was a bit more nostalgic interest from thr national media today. Still nobody seems capable of discovering what's really going on .

The whole deal now seems completely different to the one that originally put forward you have to wonder why Sharron and the remaining football venturers are even bothering.

Why the concerns? If things weren’t progressing successfully there’s no way the EFL would have sanctioned our game going ahead and furthermore, if Jeff Thomas was instrumental to the deal completing as planned, their decision would have been quickly and decisively reversed. It hasn’t, so we should assume that this was always part of the plan. Actually, it’s pretty common in major deals that the “front men” often move aside to allow the previously unnamed backers to surface. To me this all indicates that the takeover is imminent, so I’m not as pessimistic as some. I could of course be completely wrong and it may all collapse at the last minute but let’s hope not and we finally resolve the whole unsatisfactory situation with genuine new owners. As for Saturday, if Mr 28% is still in place, the only forecast I can be confident in is Bolton nil.

Concerns are we are 3 training days away from our first game. 6 outfield players so like Bassini we seem a few butties short of a picnic.
If players wont play in friendlies will they take to the field at Adams Park?

On top of that Whites, been reported that players want out of Bolton and are turning to a panel to try and get contracts torn up. Regardless of whether a deal gets concluded. Had enough. And I do not think weve any chance of playing this saturday!
Alan Nixon. So you can say its all fake news but lets face it. The BN reports are North Korean in thier defence of FV bid.
If it was a film it would be called The Next Few Days - in truth thats been ongoing since March really, certainly June with this current bid.
We know nothing. NDA is a joke when its so far down the line.

Bit more bad news, of sorts. Wheater signs for Oldham on a one year contract.
Message to all posters: Stay sober Saturday night and pack your boots. You may be asked to play come 3 pm Saturday.
Update: A bit of good news, of sorts: Politic has had his wages paid in full, which means that BWFC can demand a fee for him if anyone wants him. btw Norwich were interested last season.
Update again: According to Marc Iles of the BN, the takeover should be completed in the morning, so put your boots away, go have another beer and get behind the team. Even you whites, even if it is Parky in charge. He deserves some credit.
