1-2.
Other results going our way too. Think that's the same thing happened last time Preston came. Went up then lost 2-1.
What a difference half an hour can make to a season. I was thinking we would definitely stay up at 3.45. Still be ok at 4.15 and now thinking we're not going to get these points we need.
Preston fans moaning about being charged £30-35. Think how we must feel then. When we say "twentys plenty" we mean minutes not pounds.
Oh well, worst case scenario we go lose, go down. Lose the sponsorship deals. Have to play in that stupid League trophy. Don't qualify for the 3rd round of the FA Cup. Lose half the squad out of contract. Ken pulls out. Admin 12 points deducted. 2020 Salford City away.
Could be worse.

Not "What now Parky?" Rioch. It should be "What now Anderson?". Just who is running the show here?

There must be a marked difference between our 65th minute subs to theirs. ALF and Karacan come on and do nowt, Sean Maguire comes on and bags a brace Real chance to put some daylight and the Tinkerman phikked up yet again with his tactics, formation and subs Alf and Clough (cannot get a lookin at the moment so not sure what’s happening there) and he sticks Walker on instead. Apart from the luck we’ve had recently, Parkinson has nothing else left to offer and needs to be moved on. A decent manager would have had us going for a 2nd goal instead of sitting back and inviting a rather decent PNE side to attack us Shocking

Game set and match now.
We simply don't have the luxury of throwing away points at home because we get nothing away.
Fair play to Alex Neil and Preston. A club run properly. A footballing ethos with a sensible business template to boot.
We've rode our luck for many weeks now and was always going to get a result like that.
Ken won't change it because it's too big a risk. It's too expensive. Phil won't change it. He's too stubborn and doesn't have the acumen or the will to adapt.
What's more annoying is that on his lash outing Zack Clough scored the winner. Was then dropped. I get that but with a big crowd (for us) he doesn't put on a clear fans favourite but sticks Wethers Originals on. Fans reacting sarcastically to him now. Atmosphere is getting toxic again i sense.
This has very similar shades to Dougie Freedman and his choice to shun Kevin Davies.
We've missed out on Simon Grayson now. I'd have gone all out for him. I know they haven't had good seasons by any stretch but I'd take Uwe Rosler. I'd take Phil Brown. Craig Shakespeare. Warburton. I'll take anyone now who wants to rip up this "plan" of 30% possession, smash and grab football and at least bloody try.
That being said I can't see anyone better than David Lee to take the reigns.

Abysmal match from Wanderers perspective. Lucky goal, and two one on ones wasted by Preston. Result about right. Score 4 for everyone, and 1 for PP. No clear mom.

I have to agree with every word of that OM and it was only a matter of time before the opposition scored instead of missing and that includes the regular excellent saves Alnwick has been making. Today was just same old apart from the numerous chances going in today. It won't change anything for KA though, he still can't afford to sack Parky and will hope he can cobble enough points together to stay up. At certain points in a season there are crucial games and this I believe was one. A win today was a must and whilst not guaranteeing safety would have made it more than likely. Did Parky act as though that was the case? I wasn't there but it doesn't sound like it and from reports we were never really in it, even at one up. Luck ran out today and it could be a turning point for our survival chances.

A thoroughly miserable, dispiriting, relgation-haunting performance that was.
We were outclassed from minute 1 to 90+ - even including the time we scored. Tactically out classed.
The manager did his usual tinkering up front. This time Walker in, Le Fondre & Clough out. I don’t get it – work out your best side and stick to it.
We seem to be set up as 4-4-2 because I don’t think Morais was ever near to a right wing back position. If it was 4-4-2 then please play a full back at right back not a centre half. Dervite had a nightmare from minute 1 to the end.
After a first minute flurry, Preston had most of the ball and we looked absolute panicky. Wayward hoofing of the ball, inability to pass straight and this was the first 10 minutes.
We then broke and won a disputed corner. Wheater got his head to it and Beevers hit the loose ball home. Couple of minutes later, another corner and Beevers had a header cleared off the line.
Were we on top, would we dominate? – no chance! Preston had all the ball for the rest of the half. Dervite sent a suicidal back pass which Alnwick bravely blocked and Preston missed 2 clear chances.
We were so lucky to be ahead at half time.
Second half saw no improvement. We hardly got a touch of the ball and Preston slaughtered us.
All our passing consisted of high hoofs out of defence straight to a yellow shirt and our marking/covering was dire. Preston ran through us at will.
They eventually deservedly equalised when Wheater was turned easily and the ball played to the left where Dervite was so out of position it was ridiculous and the Preston man scored easily.
Le Fondre and Kirchoff came on. We had a rare free kick at the time and Kirchoff got a header in from the kick but it was an easy save.
Preston just dominated – ran us ragged and yet again broke down the left. Dervite was lost again and the ball into the middle was somehow turned in. Not too sure how it got in – need to see the TV tonight.
It was a totally deserved lead.
On came Wilbraham (instead of Clough who had been ready to come on). Wilbraham a man who has scored 0 goals and created little. Well he created nothing – he was awful.
Vela had a shot saved which could have bounced into Pratley’s path but didn’t and that was it.
We couldn’t get into Preston’s half – because we were just hoofing it – and they finally killed us when Beevers made the pathetic attempt to head the ball out and away. Instead it landed at a yellow shirt. Ball quickly played back in for a simple tap in.
Make no mistake, this was a horrendous performance. Preston played well but they are only 9th in the league – not a top 4 side.
The setup was wrong. We couldn’t stop the hoofball at all anytime in the match. Our passing was dreadful. Ball control awful. Beevers was booked for an awful lunge after he failed to control a simple pass and the ball ran away from him.
There is absolutely no skill in the team.
THIS WAS RELEGATION FORM ALL OVER.
Two successive away games now followed by Villa at home.
We are back in the mire.
Alnwick - 5 A few decent bits of distribution. One fine save in the first half. I need to look at the second goal again.
Dervite - 2 Atrocious. Played as a right back (I think) and was caught out endlessly. Add to that some of the worst passing/hoofing and it was a horrible performance.
Wheater - 4 Panicky. Poor passing and caught out for first goal. He was given a torrid time. Beevers - 4 Scored but some absolutely appalling distribution finishing up with the weakest header ever setting up the 3rd goal.
Robinson - 4 Kept getting caught out defensively and let PNE have the run of the right wing.
Morais - 5 I think he played right midfield (not right wing back) and first half did some decent attacking but faded in second.
Karacan - 3 After giving us hope recently, he was dreadful. No decent passing – just hoofing.
Pratley - 5 Most involved of our midfield but our midfield was overrun yet again. The guy on Radio Lancs said after the match that PNE’s 3 midfielders totally dominated and they did.
Ameobi - 3 Dolly Daydream. The few bits of trickery he did were ruined by dreadful final balls.
Vela - 3 Never in the game. Ran around but contributed nothing. One shot in second half was his sole contribution.
Walker - 3 Abysmal. Rarely won a thing.
Le Fondre - 4 Tried but got no service.
Kirchoff - 5 Header on goal with first touch and looked promising. Must wonder what he’s joined.
Wilbraham - 2 Why oh why did we bring him on. Clough was ready to come on. They scored their second goal and Clough sat down and Wilbraham came on. He had 6 involvements (I counted them) and messed up all 6. Dreadful.

I,ve had more than enough of Parkys negative tactics...sick to death of his style of football. Walker must be one hell of a player to keep both clough and le fondre out of the side, Sorry I dont ee it ...Walker was a waste of a shirt today and Wheaters lack of pace cost us dearly. Said it before prehistoric football from a prehistoric manager. The past in football doesnt matter its about now and the future...and at the moment we dont have one. Worst i,ve felt all season

It has all been said above. Just awful, no positives to take out at all
Only good news is that we have signed Obasi. He can dribble and shoot, something we are totally missing at the moment. Kirchoff and him could change the way we play but will Parky give them the freedom to play football?
Wasn't Rudd terrific? Just hope Alnwick was watching how to be a proper keeper and leap for crosses and corners and CATCH them. I thought that Preston were great to watch, playing real football, and wish them luck .
Oh! I forgot - 18 games and the big screen operator FINALLY got the away team up at the same time as the announcer was calling the names. Rocket science?
Possession Home37% Away63%
Shots Home8 Away12
Shots on Target Home4 Away5
Corners Home4 Away4
Fouls Home13 Away10

Highlight for me today was looking at the in play table at half time, We were abject. At half time, I couldn’t fathom how wanderers had gone so long without conceding a goal. Alnwick excepted, the defence had been dismal – panicky, rushed, clumsy and error prone. Preston, for me, were also terrible – I actually wondered if they thought their season was over. They certainly played like they did
Second half we managed to be worse, rather than Preston being much better. I really wouldn’t have believed it possible, but it’s true. We were abject to the nth degree.
Appalling tactics, dreadful performances, just utter rubbish. Can we survive? It’s in the balance for sure.

This was one of the worst displays this season, a team who wanted to win ( Preston) and our team who seemed disinterested. Of individual criticism of our players, no-one mentioned Ameobi who did not seem wanting to play, one shot he had nearly hit me sat in the north stand.

Pedro I don't want to rub salt in the wounds but think we should not look to Obasi. I don't think he fits the mould for PP and if Clough can't get game time(at home, were he is thought off and just opened his account with a winning goal)
Think there is a real two fingers up to The Andersons who seem to be signing the players and Phil not using them.

So.....the general consensus is that: 1. We have awful players;
2. Anderson, not PP, is in charge of recruitment and sales (including sale of Madine who had 10 goals and 5 assists at the time. Replacements look weak);
3. PP got us promoted with no resources to play with, and, after a dreadful start to this season, found a system that was working well enough to climb the table, albeit in a highly unattractive style but one the players had got used to and were comfortable and successful with.
4. With no target man since January, we are now struggling badly; goals have inevitably dried up.
So basically PP has had the rug pulled from under his feet in the new year.....and yet it is he who is taking all the flak!
I'm sure he has the players practising shooting, control and moving/passing but they seem incapable of these basics.

Joanna I suggest you go and look at the U,18,s Any Manager worth his salt would tell the Chairaman to go and get ********* if he didnt have control of who was brought in. Yesterdfay was typical. Wilbraham(who I dont rate)was brought on. Le fondre was brought on. He played Le Fondre up top and Wilbraham as a *loose* No 10. Le Fondre up against 2 big physical centre halfs and Wilbraham god knows where,, That all makes sense doesnt it??? As I,ve said Walker must be one hell of a player to keep Le Fondre and Clough out of the team !
