Really looking forward to watching the lads Parky has been overlooking trying their guts out to prove him wrong. Will Parky still keep to his hoof it system?

He’ll have to Ped, it’s the only way he knows Kind of hoping Wagner ‘rests’ a few with the Prem being his priority but having said that, would our lads not want to pit their wits against Huddersfield’s best??
I’m going for a draw (sitting on the fence)

Love to see us get a result tomorrow but I just can't I'm afraid. Even a Huddersfield second eleven will I think be too good for anything we are likely to put out. I would love Parky to play an attacking team tomorrow with Alf and possibly Hall up front supported by a midfield containing Karacan, Morais and Derik with Little and Robinson overlapping wide on the wings but sadly I don't see it from Parky. If he's at all fit, it will be the usual punt up to Wilbraham with nobody to feed off him, sitting back to contain Huddersfield. The match is a freebie to me so I'd have liked to see the team really have a go at them but is that even close to being in Parky's DNA?

W63 t’s like someone mentioned on the BN about PP only playing one (Madine) up top and there being little room for ALF Armstrong or dare I say Connor Hall and he for one would be a good shout for tomorrow, but we all know Parkys formation, Wagner knows it before he gets on the coach. It’s awful hearing an opposing manager tell it like it is and I refer to sour grapes Wilder at SU when he stated how he expected us to play!! Rioch Allardyce and Todd wouldn’t have it that an opposing manager had a heads up on our formations and that’s where PP falls short, everyone knows his strategy before a balls kicked just from looking at the team sheet

I am going for a narrow 2-1 win. I will be interested to see how Armstrong gets on at Blackburn to see if they play him as a striker and not a winger COYWM.

Well that's that then fa cup gone for another year we can concentrate on the league now 😂😂 Pretty dull practice game really. Huddersfield had lots of possession and there was no real incident. We missed one good heading chance ( maybe Wilbraham, maybe Beevers?) Derik made two good sharp passes, Robinson the odd dart- that was about it. Wilbraham won a few headers to little consequence Second half began with no subs. Why not try Hall for a half? Huddersfield got on top. Van der Parra once our target before the financial crash looked lively and bundled in a goal from close range. Seconds later a 40 yd shot well hit deflected and wrong footed Howard who was dreadfully slow. The game meandered. Suddenly a Morais set piece found Derik unmarked and he headed down and in They had a shot saved. Noone and Connor Hall appeared. Ten minutes later they drifted on. Straightaway Hall brought energy and challenged well. Then he did a Nat challenge on their keeper. O to have seen more. Yet again the game for me drifted and our manager hadn't the imagination to try to win. Wilbraham for 90 mins? Howard 5 Little 6 Wheater 5 Beevers 6 Robinson 7 Derik 7 Vela 5 Ameobi 7 Morais 6 Wilbraham 4 Le Fondre 4

What a disgracefully negative performance that was.
We set off with 9 men sat behind the ball and Wilbraham and Le Fondre were left to pick up big boots out of defence which they just couldn’t do.
Our tactic was obviously to sit back and, hopefully, catch Huddersfield on the break. Remarkably we did this once in the first half when Wilbraham (what is he doing on the pitch?) headed woefully wide from an almost open goal.
But that was it for the first half. We did nothing. Huddersfield had nearly all the ball and could pass the ball to colleagues which we could not do but they were dreadful also. It was a terrible first 45 minutes.
Fortunately, we won the Carrs pie at half time so some relief. Nice to meet up with AndyL and Greydad also – did you interlopers to our row enjoy the pasties?
Second half started the same. We sat back but Huddersfield had obviously had a flea in their ears at half time and actually pressed forward.
A series of 3 consecutive corners (all defended poorly) led to the opener with the ball just toe poked in with everyone just standing watching. A really poor defensive goal.
So we kicked off, hoofed the ball upfield from Wheater. We immediately lost possession, Huddersfield broke, shot, got a deflection and we were 2-0 down in a matter of 1 minute. Our manager insists that Wheater was fouled in a “leg breaking” tackle but I must admit I didn’t see it. I just saw no one on our side capable of collecting and keeping the ball and then just meekly allowing the opposition to shoot.
It took those 2 goals to wake us up and we actually attacked. We eventually got a corner that Derik headed in and hope was raised but, in reality, Huddersfield were just playing out time and they did it easily – helped a little by some odd refereeing. He booked their goalie for time wasting but only gave 4 minutes extra after 6 substitutions and some long injuries. But that’s just nit-picking. We were just poor and had no attacking ideas at all and, yet again, I blame the manager for that.
We may as well have had a go and lost 3-0 but at least there would have been some entertainment. That was the worst first half I have seen for ages. We played 100% negative and still lost so why not attack. We would still have lost but we could have enjoyed something.
Howard - 5 Not a chance with the goals. Probably punched when he could have caught. One awful kick-out in second half.
Little - 5 Couldn’t get involved in any attacking link up with Ameobi until late second half.
Wheater - 5 A few mistakes and the defence as a whole totally messed up on the opening goal.
Beevers - 5 One horrendous mess in the first half when he let a man past him on the by line and some, now quite usual, hopeless punts upfield to no one.
Robinson - 6 Defensively still iffy but at least he tried to join in with the attack.
Derik - 5 Largely anonymous to me. Let their midfield have the ball without a challenge.
Vela - 4 Hardly noticed him apart from a stupid booking. Like Derik, their midfield was unchallenged as we backed off.
Ameobi - 5 Spent much of the first half at right back such was our tactics. A few runs but much too deep.
Morais - 4 Disappointing. As with Ameobi, obviously instructed to hang back. Useless shot in last minute when, rarely, he had 4 men up with him.
Le Fondre - 4 Just not in the game. He and Wilbraham were left to forage for themselves with no help from the rest of the team and they couldn’t do it.
Wilbraham - 2 Dreadful. Looked every day of his age. Why did we sign him? Missed a very simple headed chance in first half.
Noone - 2 Just nothing from him. He failed miserably to get the ball into the box when he had a few chances to do so. Looks a terrible signing at the minute. Manager - 1` I hate his tactics. We played 9 men behind the ball from the kick off. We just conceded possession to Huddersfield and just backed off. It was inevitable they would score. It has reached the stage were I hate watching us play.

Anyone who has been clamouring for ALF to start would have had a wake up call today. He ran about to no purpose and failed to have a positive impact on the game. Admittedly he was facing a Premiership club but o e that fielded their second team. Sadly he cannot hack it at that level and it must be assumed any top half Championship team at best. Wilbrahim was woefully slow and ineffective.
We desperately need another striker unless Hall can step up.

Got to be honest I'm not at all bothered about the result but find it disappointing that we never managed to try and play a different style. It's a one off game Parky.
The players I wanted to see where King and Hall. Wilbraham is the least exciting prospect we have and I would rather have played a golden gamble winner up front.
Buy Proctor. Realise he's not good enough for. Sell Proctor. Buy an older version of Proctor. Yeah, that might work.
I'm wondering now what Ken is thinking knowing a good away tie can bring it much needed revenue. Didn't that Anfield trip/replay almost get is £1M.
£15 a ticket and 8,000 home fans for a premier league club. That will disappoint Ken no doubt. Hope he starts asking why some people are not taking him up on his offer. Though he watches so he would know.

Well I've seen the highlights and for one of the few times this season, I agree with our manager.
How a so-called premier referee couldn't see that tackle is ridiculous. A definite red card and a very lucky David Wheater not to be seriously injured. Adding insult to injury, they scored from the move which should have been stopped. Spare us from premier league refs in the future.

What has happened to Jem Karacan? Why wasn't he playing? Why has Derik been overlooked for so long Parky? He is a class above Pratley and Henry, reads the game well and he can score straight away in his first game back. Very nearly scored another too from a great shot. Why were Hall and King not given a proper chance especially Connor Hall? We had nothing to lose if he brought him on and gave him a decent 20+ minutes to show us how proper goal scorers shoot on target and shoot at every opportunity. What did Parky learn in 9 minutes? Why did the donkey Wilbraham head the ball at the corner flag and not at the target? Who is coaching our players how to head? Give me strength! That Huddersfield team was "there for the taking" and Parky blew it yet again. From BBC: Possession Home38% Away62% Shots Home7 Away12 Shots on Target Home2 Away5 Corners Home2 Away9 Fouls Home11 Away9 I would stretch so far as to say that Huddersfield’s line up was more third team than second!! Pathetic stats yet again. Possession stats can be a bone of contention, teams have been known to actually win games with less than 25% possession (don’t ask me how) so possesion is one thing, it’s what you do when you have possesion and under PP, we’re evidently clueless based on his team selections and game strategy. Absolutely nothing will change whilst Ken Anderson remains at the helm of this club, yes, he’s done this that and the other and blah blah blah, but his recent bollocking, then backing of our esteemed leader suggests that PP would be completely fireproof until KA relinquishes his role as chairman and that doesn’t look like it’s any time soon!! Coffers might have swelled had we met any of the big 4 Prem teams in the next round and that alone should give KA the perfect reason to challenge PP. Unfortunately though, it eems like these two are brothers in arms and that really puts us in dire straits 🙄😞

I've just watched Newport beat Leeds.
How I wish that Phil Parkinson has also watched it.
Newport went a goal down early but continued to attack. The second half they just attacked and attacked. No sitting back and hanging on.
If only our manager could look at these sort of games and see that it is possible to play attacking football regardless of the opposition.
Shame on Parkinson for his negative attitude yesterday.
Well done Newport
