good point RFTR..Cellino good comparison..signs players himself, gets in rookie manager like Hockaday who is too small to answer him back. to be fair, Cellino got in decent players from what i hear ( Antenucci especially ). his major problem is changing his mind & his manager every 10 minutes ! we're short of dosh, so no problem if they find original ways of getting in players on the cheap through good contacts . at the end of the day, the only real way for this new regime to seriously make some money for their investment group is to get us back in the PL eventually, so our goals and interests should be pretty well aligned.
agent likes doing deals..just hope we don't end up with ridiculous player turnover..buying and selling players all the time. even that you would hope would still have benefits for us..it's hard to sell players on for a profit if they are not performing on the pitch.

a bit more info on Chris Wilder. like most on here, i know very little about this guy. www.leaguemanagers.com/managers/chris-wilder/reading this, i'm liking this guy more. we've heard odd bits about his achievements at Northampton this year. but i never like guys who've only done it at one club..might have been down to just one class player..the Stu Holden effect. the Suarez effect at Liverpool. Hasselbaink looked amazing with his 60% win % at Burton...at QPR.. currently sitting on 26% does not look so amazing. good foundations had been left by the last guy there at Burton..Gary Rowett..now at Brum..and working wonders there. but that link explains the good work.. year on year improvement CW made at Oxford. and not sure how he managed to win 4 trophies in 27 weeks at Alfreton town. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/25910976as this link explains.. he made an odd decision to leave 6th placed Oxford for bottom of the football lge..Northampton. even at that point, they were being severely written off. www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-two/2015-2016/true-tablethis is how Lge 2 stands now... Northampton 12 pt's ahead. averaging over 2 pt's per game. in 2nd place is his old club Oxford !

oxblogger.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/how-did-chris-wilder-end-up-at.htmlanother article on Wilder. perhaps the tone of a jilted fan. some bizarre bits in it...like " The poor home form couldn’t be denied; most fans were seeing a team that won only occasionally, and even then with turgid performances. Many fans had now turned on Wilder, and it seemed the damage was irreparable. Nonetheless, we continued to occupy the top spots into Christmas."
i know it's easy to laugh at this from a distance and not so easy to watch "turgid" stuff, but after this season, and with the prospect of
it not bottoming out, i think i for one, would settle for turgid stuff in the top spots of the table. or a turgid 12 point lead at the top of the table. considering the article starts at how they were at their lowest ebb for 50 years then got promotion...expectations didn't half rise quickly to be giving the guy stick so soon after !?!?!?! www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-two/2015-2016/true-tablethe stats don't suggest he's that boring. topscorers in the lge with 75 goals. 13 clean sheets is good, but not excessive..there are teams in 20th place in Lge 2 with just as many. Oxford have 2 more than them. goals don't always mean exciting football. Rafa Benitez often answered critics of his style by saying we're the 2nd or 3rd topscorers.

Think your avatar is distracting everyone.
I've personally liked Keith Hill since i heard an interview with him on TalkSport a proper Ronseal no nonsense Boltonian who likes to play the game "on't deck" and score goals.
I watched Sunderland last week and thought those players badly let Sam down. It's like no one told them they were bottom 3. If they go down will they stick with Sam? Will he want it? I think they should give him the chance to bounce back but not sure the hunger is there. He must be thinking Gudni Bergson and co ran through walls at Bolton on a tenth of the salary they're paying Kaboul!
I can see Big Sam coming back. Possibly as investor board member but he may want a job as manager. It's clear from his book he loves Bolton and that's mutual(no other club has really had much affection for him)

agree O.M. , i like Keith Hill too. comes across well in radio interviews i've heard. wants to play football but knows the value of defending well too. he's not even in the long list of the bookies. suppose with Rochdale being in 8th place in Lge 1, it's a risk not worth taking for him. even Wilder's Northampton could easily be ahead of us in the table. but he's shown with his move from Oxford to Northampton that he's confident enough to judge the potential of a club and when he might have done all he can at the previous one.

A quick look for Chris Wilder on Wikipedia offers up a choice of the Northampton manager or an Australian serial killer. Were the latter not deceased he just possibly could have been the better option for despatch of high earners on long contracts?

I think Wilder would see Wanderers as a big step up from Northampton despite our current position. That goes for any of the names on the list frankly, if they get things right it will be a big step up for them. Personally I'd still prefer Browny but certainly Wilder would be good shout too if Browny's too expensive. Not sure about Keith Hill but in our current position he at least knows what's needed in this division. I think the problem with the Freedman's and Lennon's is that they're used to dealing with quality players and can't quite understand players with less ability who can't perform how they want. We certainly need a manager and players who know exactly what's needed and how to deliver it.

Seems Wilder is not interested , so can we take that he was not one of the chosen three? or have we got yet another owner who finds telling the truth hard to do ?or has the fat lad MI got it wrong again ? Hansen has stated that he hoped to make an appointment this week but would not say what day just hope and pray its not that Newcastle T***t Carver.
