Sorry for the toe-stepping, usually let someone else start this thing rolling but just heard its not televised. Well that's a blow. I was hoping to stay clear of Mad Friday and relax in the comfort of my own chair to watch the match. Understandable that Sky have said thanks but no thanks last years game had Ian Holloway slamming Dougie Freedman's "anti-football" style. Now the pressure is on Holloway, many a Bolton fan would have jumped at the chance to have him in the dug out(on more than one occasion). I see it being an open game, two attack minded managers who both want or need the points on offer and both will see it as a good chance to get three before xmas. I can't see how Sky can have 7 Sports channels, including Sky Formula 1 and now Sky Sports Darts, wouldn't think its worth a go. Not sure how that works and whether they need more time.
Roadworks is cited for the rescheduling. Speaking of roads wonder how many Bolton fans fancy the journey on the motorways to London n the last Friday before Christmas.
We've had 3 or 4 games now were chances aren't coming but we've been strong at the back. Can see this being vice versa. 2-3 Bolton, Christmas hats off to anyone who is travelling down. You're brave. Hope the games worth it.

Without a goal scorer it seems unlikely it will end with us getting 3 OM but I live in hope. I think it will be another dour game and i wouldn't be surprised at another 0-0. If we are going to make the play offs though we need to start winning these games so on the basis of hope over expectation I'll go for 0-1 to the Whites.

Stuart Attwell will oversee Wanderers’ final league clash before Christmas with Millwall on Friday evening.
A seasoned official in the game having figured prominently in league football since 2007, Attwell has been the man in the middle of 18 games this season across the Championship, League One, League Two and various cup competitions.
The Warwickshire based referee last officiated a Bolton game when the Whites travelled to Craven Cottage to face Fulham back in October.
Ian Cooper and Carl Fitch will run the line, while David Avent is the fourth official.

Sorry for being stupid but games against Wigan and Norwich were on Sky, so they obviously have some rights. Also why on Sky Sports News(midweek) can they play goals from this league.

www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2014-2015/defence/homeMillwall have the worst home defence. we have the worst away attack. we've scored 5 away. even blackpool have scored 10. www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-championship/2014-2015/attack/awaywe're the ONLY side in this lge that hasn't scored more than 1 away goal in any game. so quite optimistic there OM with a 3-2 !, especially given our striker crisis. it's looking like either 1-0, 0-0 , or 0-1. reading todays BN article suggest Cravies has a chance, ( scratch that, after press conference, now less optimistic..boxing day more likely ) so i'm hoping for 1-1 ... but gonna go bit pessimistic and say 1-0 to Millwall. btw OM, you are of course right on the FL tv rights. Sky have primary rights surely. they show live games...beeb don't show any live. goals express on Sky sat eve 6pm also show all championship goals as well as other lges i think. it's Beeb that has secondary stuff (highlights), just as they have with PL... no live games there either. beeb did used to have some live FLC as when Newcastle and then West Ham were in this Div, they seemed to be on live terrestrial almost every week.

So could Sky not show the game, buy the rights as a one off. Hopefully there might be a decent stream if its the only match.
Anyway few have said i'm optimistic with predicting a 5 goal thriller. True, i did just pluck it from thin air without much thought but i'm sticking with it. I think if we take the lead the lead they will no doubt come all out for the equaliser which could play into our hands on the counter attack. I think the last few games have seen us and maybe the opposition fairly happy with a draw. I think the Wigan match was a "must win" (for both)and the others "must not lose". This I see being more like Wigan but obviously we need our strikers and attacking midfielders to be more potent.
I believe the Huddersfield match will be the halfway mark for the season and it we bridge the gap to less than 10 points I'd fancy us for a playoff place.

Couldn't find a stream so relied on Mark Iles review. Feared the worst when he said "Gudjohnson off for Trotter, Lee pushed forward as no strikers on the field" and there was no news for 15 mins...luckily it was down to poor wifi and we'd since hit the post and taken the lead.
We're doing amazingly well when you think of the players missing and the lack of options up front. Defensively they're ok, I say that as we do seem to hear that Lonergan has kept us in it with world class saves. (Andy and Julie may have to concede the argument to Joanna, I always thought Lonergan was steadier but Bogdan more potential and more valuable asset but Lonergan on this form is one of the best in the league)
9 off play-offs, 8 off relegation. Weird league but we're only looking one way at the moment. Boxing day is very nicely poised.
