What has happen to them?
There are now numerous missing bulbs in the floodlights and the pitch is so gloomy. It is obviously deliberate as the lights were excellent for the Cardif and Wigan games. Sky TV would not have put up with today's gloom.
With it being so dark, the adverts make it even worse. From where we sit in the West stand, everytime an advert with a white background came on, it was just impossible to make out anything at the South end. Apparently Lonergan made a wonder save in the second half. We couldn't see it as the white light in the advert just blinded everything.
It wasn't just me by the way - it was everyone around us in the West Stand.

I agree. It was awful from the North End. I could not distinguish yellow shirt from White at the far end . It's difficult enough in varifocals but this was like being forced to stare at oncoming full beam headlights

Agree, when the advert with a white background was displayed around the pitch, you could hardly make out what was happening at the other end of the pitch, far to bright.

When I came back from the game I said exactly the same thing, almost word for word as David M. I hate those electronic advertising hoardings

Let Richard Gough know - can't think I noticed it from ESU. RG is Chairman of the committee of fans that meet regularly and was instrumental in getting us decent hand driers in the ESU loos and trying very hard to do something about the PA system when it was abysmal.

Let Richard Gough know - can't think I noticed it from ESU. RG is Chairman of the committee of fans that meet regularly and was instrumental in getting us decent hand driers in the ESU loos and trying very hard to do something about the PA system when it was abysmal. rgough@bwfc.co.uk Thanks, Pedro. I contacted Richard Gough and got the following reply:- Many thanks for the email and your feedback regarding the floodlights/LED and the impact on your matchday viewing. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused last week, we have had a few emails from supporters making the same point following the match.
Regarding the floodlights, these are running at 800LUX which is 2/3rd power but still 300LUX above the league and broadcasting minimum of 500. They have run at this level since last season (with the exception of the Cardiff match but including the Wigan match) and there are no immediate plans to switch back to full power. For the LED, I agree with your comments and have asked that all the predominantly white adverts are re-worked ahead of the next home match, I will also speak to the technicians who run the system on matchdays to see if the brightness levels can be adjusted downwards.
Hopefully these changes to the LED will see an improvement without adjustments to the floodlight levels but we will monitor it and I would be pleased to hear back from you after the match either way to let me know how things were from where you sit.
Thank you once again for taking the time to contact me with this, if I can be of any further assistance with this or any other matter please do not hesitate to contact me on my direct lint (01204 673645).
Regards
Richard
A good quick response from BWFC. Hopefully all will be OK for the Ipswich match.

It seems that some good things do come from complaining.
I emailed Richard Gough at the Wanderers to moan about the lights after the Huddersfield match. I got a quick positive response and then yesterday what a revelation!
Nearly every light was working, the pitch was bright and it added to the spectacle which the players eventually put on.
I, like most of us, tend to moan about the club but in this case, great credit is due to Richard Gough and everybody else who sorted the lights out.
