Don't think any of this will go through if the Coventry thing is anything to go by , the football league has the finale say as to whether someone is a fit and proper person and my guess is with reputation of the people concerned it will be a NO

OWDONLAD,
Dont forget the football league passed SISU as good enough and also with SISU they laid down sanctions which which were ignored and the league done Sweet F*** All about it, so they are useless...

So long as it's not curtains for Lennon tho!!! my sentiments exactly. it might be good, it might be bad, but we don't need this sort of uncertainty in this of all seasons ( being 50/50 contenders according to the bookies to go down). any new owner always likes to appoint their own guy. even getting promoted wasn't enough to save Malky Mackay

Reckon a lot would depend on whether Gartside keeps his job or not..... If he talks them in to this deal with him still at the helm then Lennon should be safe... If we got a completely new team to replace Gartside we'll be on the management merry-go-round again inside ten games if he's not winning them all as any new owner simply won't stand for it especially an overseas one with no real links to the club or its history.....
This could be the best thing ever for us or it could end up a train wreck.... Really don't know what to think as we need cash, we want Gartside gone but we want Lennon to stay, I can't see any way how we can get all of those things out of this.....

So long as it's not curtains for Lennon tho!!! Does it not worry anyone else that Lennon was breaking this news, or at least confirming it in his press conference. Would thought he would be told not to mention anything like that at all. Maybe he's a bit annoyed if he was given false info at the interview stage, maybe he just wants an open and honest relationship with the fans or maybe he doesn't feel the need to hide for Gartside.

Alan Nixon on his twitter saying talks went smoothly and deal progressing well. could be sorted soon. he said yesterday that PG would be looking to stay on as Chairman & as Surreywhite said above, that should mean Lennon is safe.

As I am just a fan and not that bright when it comes to finance matters how does it all work when we owe Eddie 163 million pounds do they take all the debt or does Eddie still own the ground and all the other things under the Bolton roof ?

Ah, therein lies the rub chip, i suppose it depends on a series of things including how much ED has actually made out of his interest payments on the debt. I'm sure the Thai consortium would want all the bits and pieces but it depends on what they are valued at which may be much less than the debt. Personally I don't think the deal will go through but I suppose if ED wants it too badly enough it just may. Obviously he wants out so even if not the Thai's it may open the door to someone else, even the Dragon herself!!!

Alan Nixon saying on his twitter that the deal looks like it might be done in stages.. investment in a chunk of shares for starters, then full takeover down the line. sounds ok that, especially from NL's point of view.

The thing is do we get some money to invest in the team because with Neal in charge and a good team we may be able to make a push up the table. Maybe not this season but next we could challenge for a place in the prem who know's

Hypothetical of course, but say we're given £5M to spend in January. Who would be you be wanting to bring in the January sales?
Gary Hooper? Garner from Preston? Scott Sinclair?(Remember him), Jermain Defoe, Kris Commons, Craig Noone maybe, Nick Powell?
