FFS sort this mess out and loosen the feckin purse strings ed !!! I wouldn't give this to**er another farthing to spend. Absolute and utter GARBAGE and believe me that's being complimentary. This guy wouldn't know how to set up a team to win a game if it bit him on the bum. How we are supposed to win a game (never mind dominate one) when for the first half there were 21 players in our half of the pitch and only 10 of them ever had possession and those 10 were on the opposing team, is totally beyond me. I don't even think DF realises that we are supposed to actually have the ball to be able to score goals as he seems quite content to let the opposition have all the possession. Get rid of this w****er NOW Because if they don't I am going to have ban myself from the forum for expletives.

It's a long and expensive journey for such unadulterated drivel in the barren wilderness now known as the macron. We were given a passing lesson from start to finish and if ever we threatened to seize the initiative as we did in the second half momentum was soon dissipated with long periods of lost possession. The winning goal came after yet another Bogdan punt came inevitably back . Even so we had two great chances to score before and after. Chungy gave us a flash of his old self and laid a chance on a plate for Feeney who missed and Beckford as ever missed the target after a knockdown by Wheater left him in a glorious position to the right of goal.
In the first half they didn't threaten much despite controlling the game but it was a surprise when someone ( not sure who) sent Craig Davies away to be upended when about to shoot. Clear penalty, clear red card. The ref will get a bad assessment for this major error We were under no real threat when an innocuous ball struck one of our defenders , Maybe it was Mills? The assistant gave a penalty and they were level at Hal time
Our midfield struggled. In the first half Trotter was jthe only one who looked composed on the ball but after half time he lapsed into conceding possession as did everyone else. Mason and Craig D did quite well up front and late on Feeney got a couple of crosses in. Chungy did some good things and some bad but at least he put himself about. Spearing sprayed misplaced passes everywhere. Bogdan was the old punting Bogdan and Mills was an embarrassment in complete contrast with his counterparts who were nothing if not assured as they passed the ball around. I despair. We are already set fair for a relegation battle.
Bogdan7 McNaughton 7 ( now injured) Mills 3 Wheater 6 Ream 5 Spearing 5 Chungy 6 trotter5 Feeney 5 Craig Davies 8. Mason 6
In sum the only player really to have emerged with credit from thiis game was Davies. But it was another managerial disaster

excellent report there Andy. agree Cravies was good tonight. fancied him with the pen, after his good one v Bury. heard several say he looks a yard quicker. Trotter did start well, i checked his stats at one point..possibly in 80%+ pass accuracy. by end down to 70%. agree on Mills too. his pass % at one point was below 40%, and final fig = 43%. he hit 15 long balls. 3 of which were accurate. Bogdan hit 29 long balls. 10 accurate. so 2/3 of the time, the ball is given away cheaply to a side unl;ikely to give it back so cheaply..who are managed by a spaniard & typically they know the wisdom of ball retention in these non-tackling modern times , www.whoscored.com/Matches/829917/LiveStatistics/England-Championship-2014-2015-Bolton-MiddlesbroughMason was surprisingly quiet given his good game /form on sat'day. Wheater it was with the handball. 11 tackles for us tonight. back down to our watford levels. how can you counter attack when you happily let other team play but never/rarely make a tackles. Boro made 9 tackles. considering they had far more ball, you'd expect us to make far more than them. just hopeless, people talk about striker crisis but when you concede 2+ in all 4 games and struggle to create, it's got relegation written all over it.

We were so bad that it's painful to watch! Last night driving away from the macron I was wondering why I bother spending time, money and energy watching this team...I was not born and raised in Bolton...I have no family connections to Bolton...I'm just paying for the bad judgement my 10year old self did when decided that he will support the wanderers after watching them beating Liverpool on TV!
Sorry Dougie but you seem to have lost it...I m pretty sure he doesn't even know anymore what he is trying to achieve with his tactics. I never thought I ll say that...but he is now even worse manager than that clown with the shorts he replaced!!!

Patience is running thin then ? On a serious note I agree it was pants. There were some signs of decent movement and some good play but not many. Overall, another Shite, boring disheveled performance !! 13,800 at the game, so if that's 11,000 season ticket holders and 1300 Boro fans there's only 1500 Bolton fans buying matchday tickets. Unfortunately I'm one of them. I'll not be going to the next home game, I just can't stomach it

Agree by and large with Andy. Could not see any difference between last night and Saturday in formation, fexcept Trotter for Medoor me both 4-4-2 and Feeney for Dans, McNaughton did make a raid down the wings in the 35 min, and once or twice in the second half, Ream did not Yes Trotter made some passes, usually back or sideways, and two important tackles back. Still not enough for me, I prefer Medo, at least he gets stuck in, although sometimes rashly. Agree Bogdan and Mills punt, probably 40% chance of retaining possession, little playing from the back. Same old garbage

There is no excuse for being outclassed at home, and we can't blame it on being Calamity's team anymore. This is Freedman's team, and it just isn't good enough. I do however accept that the club have far deeper problems than him, and it is worrying that we are £168,000,000 in debt, and we are told most of it is to our owner!!! That's a great return when he forecloses as he is only actually worth £40,000,000 (though verification is needed).

I'm not in any way minimising the debt owed but I really do fail to see how that has any effect on the performance of the players, that is entirely down to the manager. Some continue to slate the players who have now gone and perhaps the fact that none of them has shone since leaving us proves the folly of us signing them in the first place but I genuinely believe it was more down again to previous and current management that we didn't get more out of them. Unlike you TW I have not backed Freedman since he signed, he had no track record, seemed immediately arrogant and confrontational with the inherited squad and worst of all made Knightmare captain. I don't take any pleasure whatsoever in our current plight, I don't even blame Freedman for being incompetent and unsuitable for the job I totally blame Gartside for 4 complete managerial liabilities and for me Freedman's eventual failure should herald a departure for both of them and the sooner the better for me.

I was gonna say nothing has changed from last season, but it has. Incredibly the team has got worse.! There is nothing about this side. Theres no organisation, no skill, no tactics and most of all no passion. Make as many excuses as you like, but at the end of the day it ALL comes back to the manager. We cant even take a throw-in without giving away possession. And the least said about everyone back at corners...the better. Its all right people saying give him 5 or 10 games. The reality is this guy dosn`t have the nous to be a good manager and the sooner he goes the sooner a decent manager can start turning this once proud club round. Lets just get rid of him, whatever it costs before we find ourselves in Division one.
I still want Rioch involved!!

No fear Woppy, I'm here There's only one real way to oofthis ejit out and that is by fan power. If 11000 fans were disgruntled watching that tosh last night, then why don't 11000 fans either vote with their feet for one match and just not turn up, or turn up and round on Freedman Davies and Gartside from first whistle to last!!!!! We're gonna get beat anyhow, so you might as well have a bloody good gripe at the 3 amigos It's getting that bad now I'm running out of anger any more, I'm at a loss for what to say!! Some might say that's not a bad thing

It seems the referee is to blame for not sending Hines off! Isn't this the same as saying 11 were too many for us?
Yes it was an error. Beckford though only scored after the referee had blown and defenders relaxed
Travelling home now I wonder why I bothered.I think next week I shall feel like leaping from the stands and dragging the subs on the first half. Why is our manager so ponderous and slow to react? It's incredibly frustrating. And as for all the twaddle about our being a passing side!! Three times Bogdan ignored an easy throw out to Ream in the first twenty mins or so.Why???

Andy. Usually I find myself pretty much agreeing with your marks. But not this time. Bogdan was pretty steady and made one good save at the near post with a number of regulation ones. I would like to see their second goal again. Bogdan looked in no mans land to me. I would not give above a 6. Naughton too did not do anything to stand out so a 6 is more than enough. I know that mill's distribution was not brilliant but overall I would go with a 5 and agree with Ream and Wheater's marks. Spearing could not pass wind and only deserves a 3. I prefer Me do in any case. A much calmer player. For me Trotter did well; lots of tidying up of second ball with short simple passes. Did not give it away like others did - a 6. Chungy did not deliver enough a 5. Feeney runs quickly in a straight line, with or without the ball. He seems incapable of cutting inside for variety or if he cannot run past the defender. His close ball control is not good enough either. Eagles ( and chungy) used to play short triangles along the touch line to work through the defence but Feeney cannot do this. Another 5.Davies is willing and turned well to win the penalty and apart from one other turn and shot he was well marshalled by the defence (and ref who refused to see any shirt tugging on him). A 7. Did Mason do anything at all? I will give him the benefit of the doubt and award a 5, but clearly the partnership with Davies is not working yet and that is freedman's fault. The partnership gets 3.

Yes, this is all too awful to bear. How is it possible to rid the club of players that were considered deadwood, and replace them with even worse ones?! Andrews, Sordell, Eagles, Ngog and even Zat were, it turns out, preferable to this shower of slow, talentless, passionless, skill-less bunch. They can't even pass and move. The tactics do not suit. Players are recruited without regard for any overall plan.
Those listed above did intermittently shine; Eagles, especially, had games where he ran excitingly at defenders and scored goals, but somehow this management team slowly made him worse. Used properly, Ngog had something to offer, but he was never a striker! The others had the confidence drained out of them due to Dougie's inspired masterplan: play well and you're omitted for the next game! Rotate illogically for no good reason. Genius! They were never given a sustained run in the side.
BSA showed how to manage: he got the best out of everyone, even loose cannons like Dioufy, by humouring him and having little side-bets with him, by putting his arm round him and (yes,Dougie) by actually COMMUNICATING with him! He turned average players into good ones, and good ones into outstanding ones. He found the best positions for effectiveness, turning Gardner, for example, from natural winger to outstanding, attacking full-back. He turned SKD from overweight lumberer to an international and the lynchpin of the side, who could play target man OR on the wing. Pedersen, Ngotty etc etc etc all transformed by good management.
DF makes players worse: by example and by policy, he strips the squad of passion and of confidence. Skill levels have plummeted. Players with talent are in decline: Ream will be the next one to fall by the wayside by being played at fullback instead of midfield where was highly promising. The huge talent of CYL is being wasted. His expensively assembled coaching team appear to be doing nothing positive. We couldn't have done worse by giving Phillips and co. a fair crack of the whip. It certainly would have been cheaper and a damn sight more entertaining!
It will only be the other championship clubs in crisis that save us from relegation this season.
But there comes a time when you look at yourself in the mirror, Dougie, and decide that you cannot do the job and that the honourable thing to do is resign before you consign a famous old club to the dustbin.
Dougie, that time is NOW.

Spot on Joanna.
Andy and Weststand lower.
Re Trotter, he did make some good passes, but not under any pressure from the opposition. When under pressure he was easily dispossessed. Not better than Medo in my opinion.

It seems to me west and lower that for the most part we are as one. And on the evidence of that game I cannot do other than seek a plate for Salome aka Joanna. Sadly she is right re most points. To boot 5 hrs on the train back whilst a man with a spanner was summoned as a high tech response to rail network breakdown has done nothing to improve my humour. Would that someone at BWFC had a spanner!
