Northampton Town v BOLTON.. match thread

looks like another win for us. odds on faves as usual. a typical "flat track bully" win under IE. stat padding his win % . fools gold.

last season it was 1-1. but we were down to 10 men for large parts and 1-0 down after 2 mins.
Northampton did play quite well against Mansfield at the weekend. 65% possession. 16 shots. 8 on target.
but lost 2-0. so you never know, things like that have a tendency to even out, and maybe they get a break against us.

no real big threats from them . Hoskins has done ok against us, but he didn't start last time out. came on as sub.
Tyler Roberts . could be a threat. played at higher levels with Leeds and Brum. but never got more than 5 a season.
2 shots on target last time out. Tom Eaves is with them, but possibly injured.

We’ll smash these tonight. Evatt’s finally adapting the team to the way we’ve all been saying he should and the best thing is we have the players to do it now with our quick breaks. McAtee and Collins really seem to be settling down now and Dion looks to have rediscovered his pace so that system should really suit him. Let them have more of the ball but defend better then when our strikers do get forward our sideways crap hadn’t given them 10 minutes to get everyone back. A good win should restore more confidence and then no slip ups on Saturday and we’re comfortably in the top six for the next international break.

What is up with Evatt that he can’t select an unchanged side and why does Charles get the chop so often, is he really that crap??

Every time someone scores a goal, it’s almost the death knell for the next game.

We have had players scoring and being dropped the following game
What are you doing Evatt, do you know, or are you just guessing??

Couple of examples, apart from Wednesday beating Bromwich on Saturday, WBA have stuck with the same squad and apparently made only one change, hence why they are at the top of the Championship
Apparently, Birmingham have made very few changes too, but contrast that with Urinals in the Prem and ourselves and the answer appears to be inconsistencies in selection of players

A good half of us that was, considering the waterlogged parts of the pitch

Thought we dropped off a bit with 15 to go to the end of half and Town look dangerous now and again when they get into our half.

I’m hoping that they panic as much as we did at times when we attack their end as that looks the more waterlogged

Surely Charles had to come on to get us the next goal as they are a bit pathetic at the back and he’d have a field day

We also need to make a call on Schon and GT as one of them
