As I see it we have made missed and scored enough goals with whatever forwards have been used. The wing back strategy has worked most of the time.
However we have secured our competitive position by being difficult to score against. And it's that which has changed in this poorish run. Take Tuesday, Wigan's goal - Baxter and Trafford save that easily. Coleman just isn't consistently good enough. Also if the keeper is shaky Santos's weakness in marking is more exposed. We need Baxter back pronto. Dion misses a lot but in form gives an edge at the other end where Santos's aerial inability is even more obvious than in defence.

I agree on the defensive side Andy, we’ve been awful lately but you see I just don’t accept this criticism of Coleman and I’m not sure that Traf or Baxter would have saved that Wigan goal and certainly not easily. It was totally inept defence in front of him that was the cause not Joel. I’d like to see JDC rested today because he’s been below form for a while now and was awful on Tuesday so I’d prefer to see Gething at wing back and Forrester returned to middle. From what I’ve seen of Ramsey I’ll pass thanks, don’t think we need him now people are back and fit. I’d also leave Josh put today rather than risk him getting another card and missing Tuesday. Surely even without him we have enough to win this? Stick him on the bench just in case but if George, Paris, Morley and Demps can’t do enough to beat Cambridge then we have got problems. I’d personally start Bod and AC up top but I assume Mr Nochange will stick with Victor. No games going to be easy as we know they’ll park the bus but surely we have enough whoever plays to at least Nick this one?

Collins to start I hope we give him as much time as Victor has been given I’m not bothered how we win today but let’s just win COYWM

In my opinion, Coleman hesitated and was a yard short. My emphasis here is not to criticise just to observe the obvious- we are weaker without Charles and Baxter.
Anyway we have our answer. Let's hope Collins shows his worth. I fancy that tactically IE is planning that his powerful bench will up the ante in the last thirty. It worked at Cambridge. A Collins hat trick would announce him. a la Bobic. Can he? I agree re Forester. We will face long throws. Sheehan had to play. No chance of Sheehan not getting yellow for three games. He is out best midfielder currently and must play. Maybe not at Barnsley after the kicking he took at home.

3-1 davidm??? I’d be happy just to see A GOAL, 3 would be super, smashing, wonderful If we do score, it’ll be a fortuitous ricochet or an own goal😬😬😬 Please prove me wrong, but whilst Evatt is in charge, home bankers are a thing of the past Actually RTF, what’s our odds for a goal?? And what’s our odds for scoring before 30 minutes?? well, for the game itself we're odds on faves 1/2. Camb 11/2 for the win. Collins is our lowest odds scorer (anytime ) 11/8. just had a few pennies on that one. Vic 7/5 , sheehan 10/3, maghoma 15/4. their best bet is Kachunga 9/2. god help them ! stats like that instantly make me feel more confident. !! i'll go 2-1. defence still bothers me. not just the keeper, but interaction of Santos and him playing around at the back, being more unfamiliar at doing that, when it's risky enough at the best of times. a clean sheet for Camb is 5/1, whereas just 11/10 for us. huge difference. I saw a stat, i think in 2024 we were something like 10th to 13th in the form table, admittedly with quite a lot of away games and some slightly tougher ones. I keep saying against the lower half dross it *should* be a much easier game, without taking it totally for granted. slight contradiction in terms i know, but you know what i mean. first goal again will be crucial. if they get, our bottle might go. if we get it, as we should, it could easily get to 3-0.

We’re playing ok (29 mins) but as I previously mentioned, A GOAL before 30 minutes is not happening, but we’ll be fortunate for a 1-0 here
Again, finishing is full on awful
Adeboyejo has to be up there as one of our worst front men signing’s EVER, ok with his back to goal as he can hold on to the ball but distribution is poor
Kachunga was far better than VA and he was below average

I’ll take any goal and I’ll take that Get in GT Let’s hope that’s not an omen for a collapse like at Blackpool

Fleetwood v Wigan
Fleetwood with 4 shots, 2 on target but they lead 3-2 Just shows what happens when you SHOOT
Shaun Maloney and them Pathetic players should hang their head in shame that a victory over the Wanderers means more to them than a victory over the Cod
