I see that BWFC have decided to appeal against both red cards from Saturday's game.
They need to be careful because isn't it the case where the FA or EFL can add 1 extra game to the suspension when they consider the appeal to be a "frivolous" appeal.
Thomason's red card appeal may well border on frivolous and he could finish up with a 4 game ban.

No more than he deserves the dirty b’stard Steady on rioch. I accept George is a bit over enthusiastic with his tackles sometimes but he’s not the type who goes out to injure anyone like some do. If you compare him to someone like Cosgrove with that tackle against Eoin Toal at Wembley which was to intentionally hurt then fair enough but there’s just no comparison. As for the appeals, we don’t know what Evatt said and we don’t know if there were witnesses but we do know George’s tackle was rash and pointless and the ref only gets one look at it and if he though as I did that it was a dangerous tackle then he was right to send him off and I think the appeal will fail. To be fair I’d fine George internally to add to the 3 matches to try to impress on him that he just can’t do that kind of thing.

Fair enough W63, it was a bit strong I don’t ever want to take the aggression out of a player, blimey, he might as well not take to the field if he loses that, but both he and Evatt, as well as Atherton need to be looked at because someone’s obviously not guiding and training him up very well that he can amass so many yellows and reds! I read that it’s 15 yellows and 2 reds? He must be trained to make better choices with his tackles. He acts like it’s a one man team at times and it’s all down to him to get the ball back. The lad has definitely got talent and he will be one that gets noticed in the next season or so but he’s also a team player and if he’s in the bath earlier than the others on regular occasions he must realise he’s doing summat wrong!! Notwithstanding that we have such awful refs in this league but it’s a cocktail for disaster if he doesn’t get him tackling timing right. When do we get to find out if he can play tonight?? And is Evatt in the dugout pending his appeal??

I think the appeals heard this afternoon on George so we should know well before the match. I agree he really does need to Chanel the aggression which is part of his game we don’t want to lose but there are skills to tackling and he needs to be taught them. I don’t think comments like Evatt’s “he just wanted to put one in for the team” helps either. Pretty stupid thing to say if you ask me? I personally can’t see it being rescinded but let’s hope I’m wrong and he’s cleared to,play tonight, I think we’ll need him?
