Well this is it… For me, this should be the game that decides our fate in stayin in the play off zone
Win it and I believe we are good for a PO spot. Lose it and the rest of the following pack will take over and push us out
We are at home and a big crowd needs to work in our favour
Ipswich put up a great fight away at Burnley in the FA Cup, only succumbing to a 94th minute goal.
Their next game, they were 2 goals down v Sheff Wednesday at home and battled back to a 2-2 draw. They then went on to surprisingly draw 0-0 away at Bristol Rovers, but after that, they went on to win the following 4 games, notching up 12 goals without reply.
That’s promotion form in anyone’s books versus our fairly dismal run up of our last 4 games - Loss Won Loss Draw, scoring 3, conceding 5 (league only)
So yes, win this battle v Barry Knight's Tractor Boys and we are in with a shout, lose it and it’s good night ‘Lion of Vienna’
Just hoping our shit form has duped Town into a false sense of security 😬😬😬
COYWM Let’s do this⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Difficult one to call this one. Depends which Bolton Wanderers turns up.I think the pressure is on us as I don't feel we'll get anything from SW so we need a win or at least a draw.
Victor is back in the frame so hopefully he can give Dion some support up top.
1-0 to the wanderers 👍👍

Got a feeling there's plenty more twist and turns yet however if we do win it does put us in good steady.
Shame we haven't seen much of Jerome as thought he would push us over the line. Adeboyejo hasn't done too much to excite me.
Would like to see Shoretire as 10 Dion and Dan Nlundulu up front. Dempsey and Morley. And a back 5 John, Mbete, Santos, Toal and Bradley.
Really think if Adeboyejo or Nlundulu (really glad my phone has saved these for quick text) aren't fit enough then we go 433/451 though rather than Shoretire or dare I say Kachunga.

Well it’s at least good to see that at last all three of our new strikers are fit and good to go which means IE is going to have a job on his hands picking a bench this weekend let alone a starting eleven. I’d personally go Dion and Victor up top which is what Evatt will probably go with but having Dan and Cameron there to switch to should mean no place for Kacha, although with Evatt you just never know? The fly in the ointment could be the weather because we’re 6 inch deep in snow here and it’s still coming down so if it’s anything like that over there, or even for travelling up, it’s questionable whether the game will be on? I certainly hope so and with Ipswich on a club record 6 clean sheets it would be nice to puncture that one?

Just like the Urinals down the road getting thumped by 7 goals, I’m putting those 3 that Pompey fired past us as a ‘blip’
We are better than that and I’m confident that we will show that confidence tomorrow (we better had)
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Kacha will feature at some point, complete waste of a jersey and time
2-2

Knowing Ian he will double down and pick Kachunga to start up front on his own. Would he even get a place on the bench tomorrow. Hmm Trafford. Bradley. Toal. Santos. Mbete. John. Dempsey. Morley. Shoretire. Charles. Adeboyejo.
Which leaves a bench of Dixon(don't be daft and have a keeper), Jones, Williams, Thomason, Lee, Nlundulu, Jerome.
So actually no he doesn't. Actually that also leaves Sheehan and Isgrove out too. So it's not OTT to say that Kachunga shouldn't get a spot on the bench.
But in hindsight I'd probably have Sheehan and Isgrove in place of Thomason whilst he gets up to speed.

So you think he’ll start with Lee on the bench OM? I sincerely hope not as he’s for me the most influential player we have and against the better teams would be the first name on my team sheet when fit. Shortire hasn’t impressed recently, whether that’s tiredness, mental and physical, or that he’s just still learning? I’d rather he be on the bench so that we can bring his energy on later in the game when Lee tires. As for Kacha, we know that he’ll be at least on the bench because he’s the “go to” option for Evatt. Like you I feel that’s a mistake but Evatt’s the boss and it would be great for Elias to actually come on and turn the game for once. We can only live in hope but I’m feeling hopelessly optimistic about todays game and think we might be in for another comfortable win? 🤗

This one is a “must not lose” match.
Obviously, we need to be looking to win it.
Defensively, the only issue is how to fit 3 of Bradley, Jones, Mbete, John and Williams into the team. I would go Bradley, Toal, Santos, Mbete and John.
Midfield – Morley and Dempsey and I would 100% include Lee.
Charles is a shoe-in so it leaves Adeboyejo, Nlundulu, Shoretire, Jerome and Sheehan for the other 1 place. I would go for Adeboyejo as we need goals.
There are some other interesting fixtures this afternoon:-
Barnsley v Plymouth
Burton v Wycombe
Oxford v Derby
Peterborough v Cheltenham
Portsmouth v Sheff W
Come on Plymouth, Burton and Oxford.
A really difficult one to predict – our record against the others in the top 6 is awful but I go for a 2-1 win.

Given that I think the automatics are beyond us now Davidm, I’d rather Plymouth beat Barnsley as the Tykes are more of a threat to our play off hopes than Plymouth are. I’d also like good results this afternoon for Burton, Oxford and Cheltenham as I’m not worried about Portsmouth and the Owls will walk the top spot.

Tough game today but if we start on the front foot we should be 👌🤞 IMO we need to win all our last five home games because we have a few dodgy places to go to in our last five away games so with that in mind 2-0 to us COYWM

Vic and Shoretire not doing it for me
And who does the SHOUTING at the back?? Who is the leader COMMUNICATION lads come on……..
Bradley looks up for it but so far, on chances, it’s all Ipswich and I wonder how long we can sustain this pressure on us (33 mins)

Mbete at fault there just as we were gaining momentum
Terrible defending there and a bad time to concede
The better side are in front sadly😞😞

Wasting to much time pissing about with the ball and Ipswich have punished us on the stroke of half-time with a sucker punch why the hell don’t we shoot. Still messing around at the back it’s rubbish to watch when players don’t get it right 🤷♂️ COYWM

As it’s half time, I’ll use a diversionary tactic away from our crap showing v Ipswich for a few mins, to ask? What have the BEEB done wrong in the ‘Gary-Gate’ scandal As TV license payers, the Beeb think it only right to show complete impartiality on political issues and as a license payer, I don’t see anything wrong in the way they have handled the Big Eared Prik. Personally, I’d prefer it if they sacked the cocky idiot permanently “Listen Gary, just pack it in with the tweets and you can have your job back and your overpaid £ONE POINT THREE MILLION salary back” “Erm, no, I don’t think I will because I believe I’m my comments” “Fair enough the pal, jog on then and we’ll get Dan Walker back”

Back to the game,
When Bradley is our only threat, a draw would be an immense result for us today but I just don’t see it after that first half showing
