Hard to look at the fixture and not be taken back to the opening game last season, where fans at 1pm were waiting on confirmation that the game was going ahead. The day before the team coach was parked at the stadium stationary waiting for reluctant players to come on board. Jay Magennis flat refused and others did so reluctantly for a final time.
What a journey. I don't necessary thinks its the rag to riches story as such. Like when Rangers were demoted and Juventus in Italy most expected them to bounce back fairly quickly.
But back to the present day. A tough test even with our 10-0 aggregate form. Maybe more so. Ainsworth will have them drilled.
Think Bradley may be out, not sure. May be worth sticking with same team.
Got a feeling it will be a 2-2. I suppose that would be good for our playoffs position but a dent in the automatics. I guess we need to make sure we do need to cement our place in the top 6 and then roll the dice later on.
Hopefully Accrington isn't is anyone's heads don't need any distractions.

‘Opening game last season’
Am i missing summat here OooM?
Opening game last season was a 3-3 draw v MKD, was it not?
I’m hoping that we are a completely different entity when we play the ‘fake’ Wanderers (only ONE Wanderers🙂) and we even do better than the 3-0 we did to them at our place back in the summer of 22.
We must be chomping at the bit to get our teeth into this game and I hope we start on the front foot from minute 1
We will win this, just not a predictor of the final score
COYWM We can do this⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Well I don’t fear anyone at the moment so I think on current form we should win. The only negative is that Wycombes must be one of the worst grounds in the league and that may have some impact and why we never do well there. I hope not and if IE sticks with the same starting eleven and doesn’t get back to his tinkering now he’s got choices again, I’m going for a 1-3 win to the Wanderers.

Will take a 1-0 Whites.
Bigger picture Ispwich, Plymouth, Derby and Sheff Weds all have home games against Forest Green, Fleetwood, Charlton and MK Dons. Don't expect any points dropped there to be honest so think we need a win to keep pressure on the automatics.
There are 2 games this Tuesday night and 4 matches the following Tuesday. We are in action on that second Tuesday and have already played 3 games more than other teams. Why aren't the teams playing these games? Just annoying to not really know where we stand in this league. We know we have such a quick turnaround I guess that will be even more hectic for these reluctant teams. Hopefully that will be all I'm moaning about today.

That’s the great thing about footy, you just never know. As for games in hand, I don’t really care as long as we get the points on the board and if that’s before the others play so much the better and adds that bit more pressure. Whilst we’re in the form we are though I’d like us to play as often as possible. If we beat Wycombe today, which I believe we will, there’s little or no chance of them overtaking us and I don’t fancy any of the other top 6 chasers to catch us either so a win today would be priceless. 😉

I agree with OohMac that “we need a win to keep pressure on the automatics” and with Whites that our form is good enough to win any match.
Big decision for the manager regarding the back 5.
Does Bradley come straight back in at the expense of Mbete?
I would stick with Tuesday’s back 5 and bring Bradley on in the 2nd half and have him raring to go at Accrington
I would also expect Lee to start with Shoretire joining up with Charles upfront and Adeboyejo back to the bench. Which would make it the same starting line-up as at Peterborough.
Wycombe’s style of play may gives up more difficulties and, despite successive 5-0 wins, there were signs in the last 2 matches to suggest that we could (should) have conceded in both of those games. But as long as we are scoring well, conceding a goal is not a great issue.
As usual, I am the eternal optimist with just cause at the moment so I will go for a 2-1 win (let’s hope that ifollow behaves this weekend after last Saturday’s farce).

Lee and John both on the bench. Bradley back so presume Jones is left wing back. Not too sure about that

Why change a winning formation, we’ll be nowhere near as strong down the left side now? You have to believe that Evatt knows best but sometimes you do wonder? I’m not quite as confident of an actual win now but I’ll stick with my 1-3 win to the Whites and hope!! 🥴

Them type of goals win games
What a goal
Come on you Whites We are better than this
Adeboyejo really needs a goal to drop his Delf tag, half a million could have been better spent on Langstaff😡
Come on BOLTON ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

Disappointing.
First 30 minutes good, last 15 minutes not good.
How did Santos & Jones miss those 2 very easy chances?
Last 15 minutes we allowed Wycombe to play the ball in the air and we struggled so the goal was coming but Trafford shouldn’t be beaten from there.
