Anyone know more?
From BN:
"An official statement released on social media by the FA last night read: "Bolton Wanderers FC's Oladapo Afolayan has been suspended for three matches after breaching FA Rule E1.1 during the EFL League One fixture against Lincoln City FC on Friday 30 December 2022."
Which the officials did not see, so how does this happen?

Nobody seems to have seen this during the game though so who brought up the issue with the EFL and if they are going to make retrospective decisions on every game it will just open up a whole new can of worms. What Dapo did was wrong but in fairness, their player Sorensen was initially responsible for dragging him back by the arm and then being all over him. It didn’t make what he did right but by the laws we should have had a penalty for the first infringement.

From that angle looks deliberate. Would be a red with VAR. I would hope EFL would have all the angles.
Could have let us down worse than he has. He's finally get a run in a preferred position and now out for 3.
Not for this alone but if anyone was interested and had the money I'd have them on the phone.

So Lincoln reported the incident to the FA without saying anything to BWFC. This could open up a whole new can of worms! " Evatt said he discovered the next day that Lincoln had filed their complaint." (From the BN)

Why should Lincoln have said anything to Evatt? Would that have changed the fact that Afolayan deliberately went out of his way to elbow the guy? I'd have been tempted to give him more than 3 matches. He is getting more and more petulant and before his injury Thomasson was going the same way, and I think it's a reflection of the manager's behaviour on the touchline.

Agreed When a manager has more yellows than one of his players, SB or Markham should be coming down heavy on him to set an example and a good example at that

As I said on the main page I can't understand Evatts frustration or why he feels Lincoln and Kennedy needed to go through him to complain about violent conduct.
I don't obviously know what's said behind closed doors but there's no doubt dapo was at fault and could have cost us that match and then the other 3 matches he missed. But Evatt should not be under any misgivings, this was Dapos fault and he was in the wrong not the guy who got an off the ball elbow or the club who reported it.
That plus his constant whinging at Derby and he hasn't had a good week.
And now he watches on as Charles and JDB actually get a game together and both grab goals. He's not guaranteed to get back now. Just as he was getting a run, all his own doing.
