Is there any interest on here for this match.
The game against Crewe was really entertaining so I am hoping for a decent match tonight.
Regardless of the tournament rules, I expect a vastly changed team tonight. I suppose Dixon, Toal, Aimson, Beck, Sheehan, Sadlier will all start.
An even looking game so I will go for 2-2.

Would expect big changes but the Pompey game off means he may field a stronger side than he may have done.
Think Traff will be rested just whether he goes Dixon or potentially whether he knows that his days are numbered and Hutchinson may be the No.2 and benefit from game time.
A win would see us through so we could really give that Leeds U21 game the respect it deserves and field a B team.
Be good to see Sadlier advanced again. See if Beck can be a Bradley. Aimson deserves more game too. Sheehan back in too.
I'd try and get a front pairing too. So would go strong Charles and Dapo for an hour see if they can link up a bit better than Charles/Kachunga and certainly better than Charles/Baka.
Strong side. Good win i think 3-0.

How poor are we? Managers never learn but if you change ten men you are signalling that you don't care .
On top of that we have John at right back which has shut down our right flank and left Saddlier without a role.
Toal, Beck, Sheehan and Bodvarson just aren't match fit and we have mo defensive midfield. Morley is quite anonymoud. And we haven't got any experience on the bench.
The first goal conceded underlined the lack of defensive midfield and Dixon was very flimsy. The second came after a miskick by Aimson and with Toal on the wrong side.
Any bright points? Dapo started to try after 30 mins, Sheehan has been neat and took a good free kick.
We need a reset some positional adjustments, maybe a back 4 and we need a role for Saddlier

If Evatt’s not interested then neither am I🤔
After 62 mins it could easily have been 4-0
The ‘first’ team have nothing to worry about if these on display tonight are fancying taken their spots for the next league game
Do they not know what it means to beat Trashmere

Fabulous equaliser Bodvarsson to Carty and wallop. Reminiscent of the Toshack Keegan goals of yore.
We were better once Isgrove came on but they still had gilt edged chances to win.
Not a good performance. Now penalties for a bonus point

So we lose on penalties for the point. Isgrove !!!. And how hopeless was Dixon. Might just as well have withdrawn him and hope they'd miss.

You'd think Carty would have taken one before Isgrove!!

Billy Crellin Mk 2 just shown through the whole of the game that he’s not up to it 3 of those penalties, he just lied down to his left whilst the shot trickled in to his right, terrible keeping and Matt Gilks needs to be replaced if that’s the second best keeper we have.
Shouldn’t have got to penalties though but Evatt set his stall out early with those 10 changes
Bloody rubbish and I feel for the poor buggers that made the trip

Very disappointing to see an understrenght team fielded when there is no game on Saturday. To take out the heart of the team - Santos and Williams - was handing the initiative to the home team from the start, Evatt will have learned a few facts for certain, particularly his hype about the second Liverpool loanee, Beck, whose defending was pretty poor and in attack showed a lack of a right foot. Apart from a poor headed miss by Bodvarsson we rarely looked like breaking their defence down until the last 20, when extra effort brought results, a good goal by Sadlier and the equaliser by Carty was a great left foot volley. As for the penalty shoot out, Dixon once again showed why he is reserve to Trafford, and his positioning was questionable for Tranmere's first goal. Having said that the whole of our defence, often non-tackling, continually showed how much the aforementioned two were missed.

I will never be annoyed with a Papa Johns result(was it a loss?)
BUT it does flag a few issues. We have no other right wing back. Declan John? Fair enough game time but that was an odd move.
Reading between the lines I think Sadlier has told Evatt he wont play RWB. Could be wrong but Evatt came out and said how he wasnt a wing back and it was unfair to play him there. He hasnt played that role since. Cant really go back after those comments.
Another strike partnership. Another failure.
Keep hearing how much strength and depth there is. Theres certainly depth, we have the quantity but lacking quality*
*by that i mean to challenge for promotion. Could argue that weve got the quality to stay in the league, achieve a top 10 finish or even knock on the play off doors. That might be enough for some, another season of consistency. More getting the structure in place. Evolution not revolution.
Guess thats my frustration because we're not a million miles off. Another striker, wing back(right).
But if weve learnt anything its time for Hutchinson to be given these games and Dixon to seek another club. Back to Barrow? I'll take him in a wheelbarrow. Not productive to give him game time when he clearly has no future as a No. 1.

Anyone know where Jussi is?? He should be drafted in for Matt Gilks, who so far, has ‘coached’ Billy Crellin and Joel Dixon, along with Luke Hutchinson and Ellis Litherland into obscurity Traffords skill and agility must have been coached through watching and learning from Ederson and Zac Steffen and that Spanish coach who Pep raves about, rather than the inept efforts of Gilks and when Trafford goes back next year, we are left with? Erm….. back to the loan market again to see if we can get Trafford back for another season. Highly likely seeing at city have taken Scott Carson as 3rd choice

Yeah its a valid point on Gilks. Remember him retiring saying he just wanted to do the coaching and my point at the time was it may have been an idea for Ian to get more experience.
Crellin was his call. Dixon was Evatts man. Been disasters. Trafford obviously s lot better but do wonder with so little game time at Accrington was that a bit of luck?
One things for sure Dixon is making some truly awful, basic, schoolboy errors.

To be honest OooM, Traffords not without his faults although he can cover them up with the other 80% of his game
