I cannot envisage a reaction from our boys because Ian Evatt is stumped when it comes to change
Wycombe will go for this and end their winless run In their last 6 games (all comps) they have Scored 6 Against 16 Won 0 Drew 2 Lost 4 Four of those defeats where at home Their last win a 2-1 v Crewe was back in 23rd Oct Ironically our last win was v Crewe too 🤔
BUT They are playing against Ian Evatt’s side and we love to give Christmas gifts early
Our last 6 games (not inc EFL v Rochdale) Scored 9 Against 13 Won 1 Drew 2 Lost 3
Before all that, Wigan did us 4-0 and Sheff Wed did us 1-0 and our previous win was waaay back on Oct 2nd v Shrewsbury 2-1
Like I say, we are the team that likes to give
Wycombe 3 Bolton 1 (Akinfenwa to get on the scoresheet to really rub salt into the gaping hole)

First and foremost let me just say that I find the reaction from the manager and player's to Wednesday night's appalling second half give up and before anyone say's anything I watched player's walking around after they lost the ball with no fight what so ever ok not all the player's but it was shocking and not good enough. There got that of my chest now on to Wycombe I was there when we played them 2 season's ago with the kid's and we played really well I'm not to sure if there is any player's still with us from that day but they showed more fight and commitment than that lot did on Wednesday night finger's crossed we don't get battered I will take 1-1 stay safe one and all COYWM

Remember when we went to Wycombe not sure if we'd even have enough players to field a team. Well we should remember it. According to Evatt it was earlier today. MJ, Dapo, Doyle, Sheehan all doubtful.
It seems a bit unfair that tomorrow is seen as a "lets see what you got". We played Wednesday in a long game. Ok not much travel but still Thursday would be recovery, analysis day. Today imagine some training but travel down to Wymcombe. Not really the time to do actual work at Lostock. Yet what we(I) want is for Evatt to rip up his Pep Lite play book and play a different way.
Just a thought. I hear the term "players stop playing for the manager". I dont follow it as a concept. So a ball comes in the box "i'm not heading that while hes in charge, no thank you". Doesnt make sense as a player youre the one who will be on Quest looking useless.
Even though i dont follow it i'm sure the main question tomorrow will be are they still playing for Evatt.
If not a.) Could be a bad day and b.) Will Evatt have to go?

I agree OohMac today's game is a bit to early for us to work Wednesday night out of there system so maybe we won't see a reaction until Tuesday night against Doncaster. I think all we as fans can ask for is commitment and show willingness to win games then if they are not good enough then so be it. Onwards and upwards stay safe one and all COYWM

We’ll, what is going to happen today, that’s the big question? We don’t even know what kind of a team we’re going to put out but even with our strongest eleven this would be a tough gig. Despite Wycombe’s recent malaise I think they’ll be well up for this one and see it as the perfect opportunity to get back on track. Every team we play now knows how to deal with us and how weak we are at the back and how to exploit it. For me playing Izzy there just compounds it. Not only can he not tackle and is therefore a weak link there defensively , we miss his ability up front. I think one of Evatt’s weaknesses is that he try’s to fit all his favourites into the team, even out of position, rather than leave someone out and replace them with a more obvious choice. We have Brockbank, Baps and even Aimson, proper defenders, all right footed and all of who could do a better defensive job there than Isgrove. His comments this morning about not having replacements for the likes of Doyle, Jones and MJ are not exactly going to go down well either if you’re trying to bolster confidence in the squad. Surely you just don’t say things like that.
Anyway, back to today, I don’t expect Evatt to change either his approach or his thinking unless he’s forced to by injury and illness, so I think it will be a miracle if we get anything other than a hefty defeat today. Like OM says, there’s been no time since Wednesday to work on anything so I don’t expect anything novel. I think it will be very much a backs against the wall performance and I’m sorry to say another big defeat.

So, how have we recovered from Wednesday’s shocking performance? Or have we recovered at all?
Today would have been a difficult task under normal circumstances but it will take a massive effort to get Wednesday out of our system.
I am NOT in the “Evatt Out” group at all and, to be honest, do not understand the way fans turn so quickly after a poor performance. I accept that Wednesday was awful, gutless, lacking leadership etc etc but we have had more good performances than bad ones since he has been in charge.
On to today and a hard match which requires good defending.
Defensively, Dixon, Isgrove and Santos will keep their places. John was awful on Wednesday so there may be a case for Gordon and who plays in central defence with Santos? Johnston cannot win headers and when he gives up marking opponents (as Santos also did) when the ball comes into the box, I shudder. But is Aimson any better? Is Baptiste just too slow these days? – mind you he cannot be as slow as Akinfenwa. Wycombe will launch balls into the box – we need central defenders who can head them away and a goalkeeper who can organise and also come for balls and catch them.
Midfield – hopefully Williams will be back but Sheehan is probably injured so Williams, Thomason and Lee it must be.
I hope Doyle is fit as I am sick of both Bakayoko and Kachunga. Hopefully, Afolayan wakes up and decides to join in today and will Amaechi start?
A difficult game but note that Wycombe have lost their last 3 home games so maybe confidence problems there too.
I will be happy with a 1-1 result.

OMG, neither Doyle or Baka in the squad today leaving us with Kachunga and Delfouneso. Could it possibly get any worse? Still at least MJ is back and Dapo is fit after the scare he might not be, so that’s two pluses. Since we can’t defend and have little hope of scoring unless Dapo turns up, I can only see a bashing today so I’m having to go 3-0 to Wycombe but oh how I hope the boys surprise me. 😉
