Bloody hell what a game first half not to sure who was doing what as we was getting over run a little bit even though we went in all square, second half was a dam site better with us pushing for a winner which came with a brilliant header from Doyle but towards the end we seem to be hanging on a bit. Now there goal I haven't seen it played back yet but it looked off-side to me. Stay safe one and all onwards and upwards COYWM

First and foremost what an excellent free flowing game of football that was! Oxford are a very good team especially lively upfront.
Such a contrast to several previous seasons fare.
Santos Johnston John and Jones were under threat every time we lost possession. Their breakaway opener illustrated the risks of turnover and speed.
But we too had a threat. Dapo was moving past defenders at will and both John and Jones were getting forward well with Sheehan capably linking and prompting.
The fitter Sarcevic is still painfully slow in possession but he does get stuck in well. Doyle also if not a line leader got really stuck into them
After MKD I hoped Dixon would come in and how well did he do? Two or three sharp saves, superb distribution and a crowning catch in added time.
Dapo's equaliser was a splendid goal- everything we'd hope for and his left foot rehearsal increased the surpise element.
Second half was a battle and Oxford shaded it at first but Doyle's splendidly placed header put us ahead and he amost capitalised on a through ball. In truth we had a few good chances late on. Kachunga and Sheehan fought each other for the best.
In the end we cracked their spirits. A really good win and the best game at home for ages. A good all round effort
Dixon 9 Santos 6 Johnston 6 Jones 6 John 6 Williams 7 Sheehan 7 Dapo 8 Doyle 8 Isgrove 6 Sarcevic 6

I'd be surprised if offside. East Side stands seemed to accept and we very vulnerable like that several times. Dixon did well not to bring him down. Lots of keepers would have and probably ruined the game

Yet another good performance.
We were up against a decent team. Oxford passed the ball around well and had us on the back foot quite a bit.
We set off OK and pressed well for the first 10 minutes but were caught out when the central defenders allowed Taylor clean through the middle. It was an event that happened a few times in this match. Taylor was clear but the ball bounced high and he clearly controlled it with his arm. The linesman was the wrong side to see it and the referee’s position probably obscured his sight. The other linesman, albeit a distance away, probably saw it but Taylor was allowed to go forward, easily go round Dixon and score.
So for the second home game running, we were behind early. This time we really struggled to get in the game and Oxford’s forwards regularly got in behind us. Some last ditch tackling and good keeping kept them out.
Just when it looked like we would be going in behind, Afolayan cut in from the wing and landed a shot right into the far corner.
So half-time it was 1-1.
Oxford started the second half well and we struggled to get the ball. They often passed the ball around us and created a few scrambles but nothing clear cut.
We then broke, Sarcevic won a corner out of nothing and Doyle headed a tremendous header into the far corner.
Oxford pressed but we kept them at bay but then we broke. Jones dribbled in from the right and rolled the ball into Lee’s feet but he somehow shot over. That would have obviously settled the game but Oxford then got their best chance in the 90th minute when their sub shot over from 10 yards out.
A really good game – we did really well to run the clock down and hold them off.
Oxford will be there or thereabouts this season so a really cracking result.
Marks:-
Dixon - 8 Very assured. Caught a good number of high balls and held on to every Oxford shot. Good game.
Jones - 6 A lot of attacking pressure from him as he found acres of space but his final centre/pass into the box was often overhit.
John - 5 A strange game. A few really poor losses of possession could have cost us.
Johnston - 6 Steady but he and Santos were caught out with the ball over the top.
Santos - 6 A good solid second half after a sloppy first half when he was caught out too often.
Williams - 7 Very good – broke up play well and put in some decent passes.
Sarcevic - 7 Non-stop running till he ran out of steam late on.
Sheehan - 6 Had difficulty controlling Oxford’s midfield who were non-stop runners.
Afolayan - 6 Strange game. Great shot for the first goal but he was often asleep defensively and allowed players to get clear past him.
Isgrove - 5 Some neat touches but had difficulty retaining the ball in the second half.
Doyle - 6 Great header for the winner. He worked hard but didn’t get too much service.
Baptiste - 6 Shored up the defence for the last few minutes
Kachunga - 5 Won and held the ball well a couple of times
Lee - 6 Missed a great chance to make it 3-1 but held the midfield well

Not done but if you get a Virtual Private Network you can set the destination where you like. The site will think you're abroad and give you access. People also use this for american netflix content. Not sure though if you need to provide a billing address for Ifollow which may scuff your plans and again im not sure how legal that is. Or yeah think dodgy boxes/sticks/subscriptions have been around for 20 years+. For me watching games on TV, especially all games like last season was too much. Too stressful. Really thought last season would make them rethink the Saturday blanket and try for a legal PPV service.

How great to hear a Bolton crowd baying for blood once again. There hasn't been such vociferous support since the EPL games, and so impressive to see the lads in the corner of the lower east next to the south stand giving it some wellie just as if the old Great Lever end had been reborn. It was a pulsating game with too many nervous moments created by our defence being caught upfield too often as Oxford used the long through ball to take full advantage . I personally felt that Williams too often deserted his anchor midfield role and tried to attack too much. We should have won more easily, nevertheless, as Sheehan missed an early open goal before their goal, and he and Lee failed to make it 3-1 towards the end as they both went for the same shot from just outside the box and failed to connect properly. We now have the right mix of players and management and Ian Evatt surely has us onward and upwardly mobile. What a wonderful prospect ! Incidentally could the Wigan cup tie be on iFollow?
