Hello,
I am researching the life of my grandfather, Charles Ford Smith, who played for Bolton Wanderers from April 1921 to January 1923. I have managed to trace the first team games he played in - 9 in total - but I have not been able to track down information about any other games he played in for the club. I am assuming that he would have played for the reserve team in the Central League.
Are you able to put me in touch with anyone who has done research into this part of the club's history please?
If you do, please feel free to pass on my contact details.
Kind regards

He is the clubs historian and is a member of the Association of Football statisticians and has written the book Bolton Wanderers- A Complete R3ecord. As far as I know he still works for BWFC as Football Secretary so you may be able to contact him through the club directly. I hope this helps.

Thank you for the reply and suggestion to contact Simon Marland. I already have his book, 'Bolton Wanderers A Complete Record 1877 - 1989' which has one page out of 416 devoted to the Central League. I will however see if i can track him down. Thanks again.

Thanks for feedback. I have been in contact with football museum but they don't have info about Central League. I have just ordered a copy of Peter Lupson's book. Will try to make contact.
Many thanks for help.
