Come on Evatt, this is just sheer incompetence leaving this lot on. Get your finger out this lot are there for the taking.

Sickener Some rank poor defending for that goal = Jones/Afollayan

Should have won that at a canter, yet again totally inept up front and should never have been hanging on like that. Shame on Evatt today his reluctance to make changes when everybody could see it cost us that game. I’m beginning to think Evatt has a stubbornness problem refusing to accept he got the wrong team and it wasn’t working. Definitely another 2 points lost today. Thanks Evatt.

Only ourselves to blame. Well on top but missed too many great chances and fluffed too many passes.
Lots of pressure. Lucky goal but more than deserved.
We just have to be better at passing and crossing when it matters. Can't complain that another team gets a late one. It was a bottle by Dapo a weak central challnge and a lost man by Jones. Defence superb otherwise and what a save from Gilks when it counted. Doyle misses too many
Delfouneso at least followed in. Isgrove- well so much good but so much flaky. Sarcevic missed just about every pass. Strong off the ball but not on
Gilks 8 Jones 7 Baptiste 8 Santos 8 John 7 Isgrove 7 Lee 8 Williams 7 Dapo 7 Doyle 5 Sarcevic 5 Delfouneso 6 had his moment
Other subs just too late. Lee was a 9 but didn't quite get past 80 in my opinion

Instead of taking inspiration from that Gilks supersave the defence continued to make panic clearances and thus lost the equaliser. Agree we were so much in control that it was an Evatt failure not to make the right replacements earlier. The final pass is usually to an opponent and there is a serious reluctance to shoot from just outside the penalty area. Tend to think Afalayon holds on too long on this sort of turf and Doyle is just not big enough and he continues to miss chances. Ironic that big Nathan came on to score. Santos again was a colossus. Hope they are not too tired for Cambridge on Tuesday.

What a sickener.
We really struggled to hold on once we had scored but there was some dozy defending at the end. Afolayan and Jones needed to be sharper.
That was a match that we should have won but for all our attacking, the final pass was awful.
We also had numerous chances – Doyle/Santos/Isgrove.
We have got to turn territorial possession into goals
A draw overall is a good result but we should have won.
Marks:-
Gilks - 7 Tremendous save late on
Jones - 6 Left Rowe on his own for the equaliser
John - 6 Not too dominant but OK
Santos - 8 Strong as ever – could have got sent off when he argued with his head against their player
Baptiste - 8 Very good again some good long passes
Williams - 7 Very good
Lee - 9 Dominant midfield performance. Class
Isgrove - 5 Too many poor passes/poor centres. Should have scored first half when he went for the ball with his foot when a diving header would have scored. Then again in the 2nd half, he had a great chance but missed the centre
Afolayan - 6 Some tricky skills but needs to find our men with his passes more often
Sarcevic - 5 Worked hard but things did not come off
Doyle - 5 Missed a sitter but made our goal. Still not getting the service he needs
Delfouneso - 6 Scored in his short spell on the pitch. I thought that he might have been offside

Real shame I thought my scrappy 1-0 prediction was going to come off, but hey Ho, we go again on Tuesday
Win that and we’ll be just 4 points of Cambridge and a game in hand on them and they’re in second spot. Makes today’s draw a little more annoying when the 2 dropped points are so valuable, but a point away fro. Home against an unbeaten side in decent form is not to be sneezed at but we’ve got to be more clinical in front of goal What the hell does Evatt have them doing on the training ground? Onwards and upwards

It’s a serious weakness though Andy, it’s not just this game but every game and we’ve been saying it for months. We just don’t have any idea what to do when we’re attacking to turn it into chances and shots on goal. In the first five minutes of the game today, we had four good breaking opportunities where just the final pass let us down and a free kick on the edge of their box where Isgrove yet again didn’t even beat the first man. This just shouldn’t be happening but it’s an ongoing problem which Evatt seems to either not see or choose to ignore. Some of our play today was sublime, we were head and shoulders better than Bradford yet never tested their keeper other than Dapo’s one shot. Even the poorest teams will get at least one opportunity and invariably, like Bradford they take it. If we have serious intentions of automatic promotion, we have to win games like today with a score line to match. We’re like a boxer, brilliant movement but no punch. I’m afraid Doyle isn’t the answer but if we can sneak up this year, a whole new attack is required or else we’ll just come back down again. We got a point today but once again I’m both angry and frustrated that we haven’t won a game we well should have.

We have no threat whatsoever from set pieces. At times good crosses have been played but if we get a head to them it never goes goalwards. We don't even do enough for second ball chances. Doyle's missed header was a shocker. Did SuperJohn ever miss one like that.
We get round the side but don't look up. Ss often as not a low cross os blocked at the near, a high one goes over everyone and a pull back is wellied. Yet at the back and in midfield a lot of our passing is inch perfect.
Thomason sweeps balls around well and is quite neat at one twos. Was he not worth twenty minutes. What of Maddison?
It was an excellent dominant performance as golfers say tee to green but getting the ball into the hole (net) was a nul point abomination. We will not get into the play offs without serious improvement. At least though we have pulled well away from the other end. And the football is so much better than Parkyfare- albeit in the bottom division.

I didnt comment before hand because I didnt want to be negative given the run but felt that some performances relied too heavily on luck. The scunny penalty changed the game(we did very little before or after) the Barrow penalty not given/93rd minute "offside" winner double and the odd Southend and even the Declan John goals at Mansfield and the red card at Oldham.
We have had/ have created a lot of luck.
But i dont want to be down. Weeks ago i was saying we needed to sort out defence and become hard to beat. Weve certainly done that.
I still stand by the idea of life for Bolton and Evatt would be a whole lot easier if they could get 10 goals a season from Santos/Baps from corners. Beevers and Wheater dragged us over the line.
Team goals back to front are great. But seldom and you cannot base your game on them.
Worried about the two behind us Salford and Exeter with games in hand and only a point behind but also think we can still blitz the teams above who all seem inconsistent.

While I think Afalayon is an excellent prospect, I think he loses the ball too easily, and cuts in from the left too much. His presence there has begun to stop the excellent runs and crosses that were a feature of the early John appearances. While I would retain him in the team somewhere I think he should be removed from the left to ensure the runs behind the defence at which John seems to excel. On the right I's like to see Jones tackling earlier and overlapping more creatively. I thought the referee today took hard-earned possession from us with some petty foul decision, especially against the excellent Williams.
