Let me start this by acknowledging that, in a footballing sense, I was not one of Parky’s biggest fans. His tactical negativity, lack of creativity in team selection and obvious coaching limitations ( did anyone, perhaps Madine apart, improve under him?) really did it for me. But, a couple of forgivable aberrations aside, his conduct as a person and representative of BWFC was impeccable. He had by far the worst circumstances of any recent manager to deal with and rarely, if ever, bemoaned his lot. Hats off to him for that at least.
If I compare this with our current manager, the difference is marked. Hill constantly refers to the circumstances of the club, embargo, starting from scratch in September, injuries etc but does so in a way that depresses, demotivates and serves only as an excuse for his and the team’s dismal performance this season. Like many in this group, I cannot help but think that, strictly in terms of the playing staff at his disposal. the potential is there to be far higher in League 1. In my view Hill has talked himself into this hole and now is getting in his excuses in case the axe falls at season’s end. A bit more of Parky’s stoicism, allied to an ability to maintain the evident confidence and enthusiasm that Hill brought to his first few games would have endeared him more to me and, I suspect, most of our fans. Sadly, he now seems incapable of changing the broken record of his self pitying ramblings.

Could not agree more Alp, spot on post. I ripped Parkhoofson apart with the end product but his dignity in such adversity and the manner he maintained his cool under trying times (KA) was impeccable.
I wouldn’t mind if Benny kept to rambling about the game rather than the terraces, the boardroom and certain individuals in the media
Rochdale fans could not have made his appointment at The ReeMac any clearer, if you get the KH from his first stint at Spotland you’ll have a manager to be proud of, BUT If you get the KH from second time around, be prepared for his bullshit and his aversion to the clubs supporters having their say on his methods and style., there’ll only ever be one winner

I cannot really agree.
PP managed under the reign of one of the very worst person in Bolton, and possibly, football history and what we got was a man who toed the party line. Took a lassez faire attitude. Bit of self preservation too and a man who given the choice would pick 11 36 year olds if they could i.e a guy who did not care about the future of the club.
I dont think he handled the strike at all well. I think if he would have taken a stronger stance, a power play, it may have nipped it in the bud. Colin Todd resigned when Per Frandsen was sold behind his back. Thats integrity for me. Not saying nothing and waiting for a pay off or a change.
His interviews were laden with cliche and stock phrases. "We did well in parts. They are a good team. Weve got a great bunch. We need to stick together"
Keith Hill talks nonsense of course he does. He seems to let words leave his mouth bypassing his brain. I was going to say hes more head than heart but its mainly his ass he speaks of.
Not going to fall into the trap that Hilld wrong so the opposite of Hill must be right. Would say when you think of great managers they all have something extra about them. None are as beige as Parky.
