I do not know much about the names mentioned as training (but not signed) at Lostock. Would welcome informed comments (even uninformed speculation!) Personally I do not want to see Buckley in white ever again. I am also worried by references to Ched Evans on some forums. Not looking forward to our youngsters sitting on the bench or forgotten altogether by Parkinson. Not looking forward to any team picked by him

Personally would love to see Ched Evans here. A proper scorer which we have been lacking since Le Fondre. Again we released him, the charitable club we are, to fulfil his dreams. Yet refusing to let other players leave after 5 months non payment. ALFs departure seems somewhat disingenuous somehow.
Not going into Cheds history. Hes a footballer.
My worry is if Oldham are offering more than us for Wheats and Hobbs and Conway apparenrly on the search for better who realistically can we bring in.

Like you OM, I’d be more than happy to see Ched Evans here and hope that he can build up the career he almost sacrificed with his misjudged actions. He’s paid his dues and deserves a second chance, so why not here. He probably won’t cost a fortune in wages either, given his situation so we should at least be in with a shout. Personally, I’d be happy to build a team around the young players we saw yesterday, rather than bring in journeymen just because they’re older. That’s another reason why I want Parkinson gone because that’s all we’ll get if it’s up to him. More old journeymen. New start, new owners, new manager and new young players for me along with one or two better quality senior pros. We may have to pay a bit more for them but it will be worth it.

So spot on re the youngsters Natfan and how they underlined your point. I think that yesterday we saw the credentials of Nicky Spooner and Gavin McCann. Re triallists we have lost Evans to Fleetwood. But if we get a greenlight we need a creative midfielder a striker whom Darcy and Brown and Hall can feed off and support and a squad player or two. I'm assuming here that those who refused to play will be shown the door or at least their ringleaders. The much discredited Marc Iles argues that the senior players have divided opinion amongst fans. I hope they have unified it?

Yes, it’s a shame we missed out on Ched Evans Andy, I cant think of a better forward signing we could have made without spending serious cash, which of course we can’t. We definitely need something up front, we were completely toothless against both our opponents so far this year. As for the senior lot, I think whether we like it or not, they are go8ng to have to be accommodated given our situation. That said though, they certainly didn’t add anything against Wycombe, a weaker team than Coventry, so maybe we would be better getting rid. The biggest question mark for me though is still Parkinson. I don’t believe for one minute that left to his own devices, more than two or three of the players out there on Saturday will figure in a Parky team. Most will be back to the development squad or farmed out to some League two club for “experience”. The positivity and on the floor football we saw will again be replaced with Parkinson’s signature hoof, so your creative midfielder will as usual be wasted, even if he signed one. I’m afraid after the euphoria experienced on Saturday, it will be more despair if FV do take over and keep Parkinson on board. I still cling to the hope that, despite his unarguable fortitude and loyalty, they realise that performance on the pitch is paramount and let him go.
