The title of a piece in today's online Bolton News.
I question Marc Iles article. Is it a disguised poll for the new owners to get a feeling for Parkinson and his team? Undoubtedly, a greater percentage of the posters on the BN have called for Parky to leave. I have no idea if he is still "on the books" at present, but someone has to organize training etc., keep the club ticking over. So, it appears that until the deal is completed, he is still the manager, I think.
There's a lot of work to be done when and if the deal is completed. I imagine that tickets, pricing etc. are already established by the potential new owners. The question is: How much to pay for a matchday ticket? Normally, we have a core 10,000 season ticket holders. How much for a season ticket? Also, will the top tiers be open?
My feeling is that there will be about 10,000 on the first few games and then dwindle into 7's and 8,000's depending on performances and results and also, whether or not Parkinson is still here.
I haven't touched on player's. How will that pan out? Are we still under an embargo?

I touched on this apparent indecision yesterday, and it looks that PP is still in charge by default as there is no-one at present in a managerial or director position. Having read the possible reactions to his remaining on the BN site, I can see a general lack of enthusiasm for buying season tickets under all the circumstances. We don't know if the purchase will take place, who will be the spokesperson, who is trying to retain or obtain players, whether we are under embargo or not,,,,,it is time for something definite from those controlling things. Most of all I feel we cannot tolerate the sort of football that kept many of us season ticket holders at home for so many games last year. Please FV pay up quickly and give us some positives to look forward to.

Regardless of prices, which players we have, the fact we are 12 points behind, I believe that unless the style of play changes from the dour turgid mind-numbing performances of last season (and to some extent the previous 2 seasons also) and we try to attack and win matches, supporters will stay away.
In my mind that means 100% that we must change manager.
Surely Football Ventures have had plans drawn up for the last few months as to the way forward if they were successful with their bid.
I despair when I read the snippets of news this week that it is likely we will stay with the current manager.

Re the pic of Sharon at coffee with PP. Maybe she was in the throes of giving him the push.....hopefully. There can be two sides to every story.

Having missed all of last season, I desperately want to return to support my team but like David above, can not even contemplate doing that if Parkinson remains as manager. It’s obviously doubly difficult because I would like to show support to our prospective new owners but if they consider Parkinson as the man to take the club forward after all the evidence in front of them, not just at Bolton, then I genuinely question their football judgement already. I can’t believe that the FV members haven’t read the quotes in the BN yesterday but if they have yet still carry on with retaining Parkinson, I’d wonder why they feel they know better than long-standing passionate fans of the club. If there were any chance that I believed Parky could change, adopt a more positive stance, trust in creative and skilfull players, I could respond but we all know that he either can’t, won’t or is unable to act that way. I’m afraid I’ll be continuing to find other things to occupy my Saturdays but good luck to all of you who decide otherwise, I genuinely hope I’m wrong and Parky surprises me.

We are beating our heads against a brick wall if what as been said is true about keeping Parky then the so called lifelong Bolton fan who is part of football ventures has not been watching. They must be just interested in making a quick return on there money and to hell with the way the so called football is played. Some people on the Ben sight just don't get it we are 12 points behind before we start so in my opinion we will need about 70 points just to have any chance of staying up with Parky playing just for draws and maybe nicking the odd win just won't cut it. Rather foolishly overlooked the automatic renewal of my I-follow subscription, so I'm now desperately hoping Parky gets the boot.

Wondering if this excruciating delay is all about the hotel. I don't know how hotels are valued, but it strikes me that if the winning bid were to have the hotel as well as the club, then their cost for the whole might be seriously offset by the quick disposal of the hotel. If that were on the cards one could understand plenty of bickering going on in the background.

No sale until the agreement of purchase and sale is signed. Makes me wonder about the one million pounds that was forwarded by FV. If the deal falls thro', do they become a secured creditor? Normally, a condition would be installed in the terms, whereby if a deal was not complete then the one million would be returned to the Buyer. Just offhand, we might also wonder how we might win back previous posters on here. e.g. AndyL and greydad. Surely they have an opinion that they can share?

Youll know my views on PP and think Ken supporters are limited to himself and his son but 15,000 fans didnt stay away just for them and they wont be in a hurry to get back even with them both gone.
I think the price of football is too much. When you throw in travel, parking, pie and pint its a small fortune and when youre turning up miserable never mind leaving miserable you do wonder why?
Travel is a big thing actually stadium has wiped out the 'floaters' and i dont mean derogatory but the fairweather fans. Id much rather speak to a fan who admits that they have other things going on with a "i go home and away, and have a tattoo of BWFC on my knuckles. Bolton is my life. Its a religion" just find them tedious.
I dont think there should be a 'stag do' culture at a match too but Middlebrook lacks a decent pub too. Whether or not some kind of shuttle bus could run could be an option. Says it all when official fan Alan has his pint in chain restaurant and hes not there for the unlimited salad.
When Colin Todd left and Sam came in I probably would have doubted we would ever sell out again so i'll never say never.
Looking back, and maybe knowing it at the time, those Rioch days were the footprint of what it should be. Young lads, local, never quitting, always belief, great cup runs, excellent recruitment, just the exact opposite of today.
Which leads me to the point that Bolton fans do actually love a manager that performs. Some fans seem to think that the majority of Bolton fans have it in for Phil because we dont like people with alliteration in names or some reason. We all wanted him to do well. We all would have loved him to take us back, bottom line the opinion on Phil is based on everything from 3 seasons! We do not like what we see, we dont want any more. I hate this term but "end of".

Rather foolishly overlooked the automatic renewal of my I-follow subscription, so I'm now desperately hoping Parky gets the boot. I'm on pay as you go Alp. Only because I found other things to do at 3 pm on Saturday's (just like whites 63). I wonder if you'll get a refund, if we don't start the season in 3 weeks and 4 days. Clock's ticking. I've posted this before, but you have to give thanks to Parky for sticking around to organize training and I assume the friendlies. We may not like his brand of football, but who would organize the chaos if he wasn't here? Before anyone says it, no, we wouldn't be better off with no manager at all.

Found a role for him then. Friendly organiser, maybe get him a role in admin or HR but keep him away from the training ground. (Shouldnt be hard its all locked up anyway.)
