A few weeks ago I said as a Bolton fan ive learnt never to say "it couldnt get any worse". Plenty of other threads to discuss the other matters so lets bring it back to a game of football.
Genuinely interested.
Is any one going? Did you buy the tickets before the strike and would you still have bought after. What will your reaction be when the names are getting called out? If you saw LB what would your reaction or message be to him?
If you are going have a great day. It may be a long while we play at a stadium like City Ground with a team as historic as Forest.
Prediction 4-0 and thats because they may give out some debuts when its all wrapped up.
As a stand alone event i think it would be a really interesting day. Im hopeful that fans enjoy it. Few ironic chants and humorous songs. Sure Alan H will be on Old Jeruselem oldest pub in England(i think).
On a side note Gary Madine has triple promotions in consecutive seasons. Not bad for a white goods appliance.

A few friends from work asked me if I was going and to tell you the truth I really can't be bothered I'm away out with the wife even if it means shopping. There should be some great away games next season Bury, Rochdale, Fleetwood, Blackpool, Accrington, Lincoln, Wimbledon, MK Dons, Southend, who needs the championship. COYWM

I wasn't sure anyone would even bother starting a thread for this OM, it's hard to see why anybody would have the slightest interest given the circumstances. Obviously the die hards will still go to the game and the fact they have will mean they probably will still support the players. Personally I feel so let down by them I couldn't bring myself to even clap them let alone cheer. For me the interesting thing will be to see if Parkinson turns up, will he make a pre match and post match statement or continue hiding and and what sort of team will he put out, experienced or youth? The scores obviously irrelevant and in fairness even the Forest players will be looking forward more to their holidays than this match with absolutely nothing riding on it. I can't predict the result but in some ways it would sum up our season if we got really tanked. The players have clearly given up as most if not all realise they won't be here next year anyway and given the wages debacle I can't see then breaking their necks for the club or fans. If we do get stuffed it will be interesting to see if the players salute the fans at the end of the game and what kind of reaction they get. So for me less interest in what happens on the field and more what happens off the field both before and after.

See your point whites but for some reason i'm really intrigued by this match. As you say its the unknown. Its frankly exciting. Ive known in each game Magennis and Donaldson will be leading the line.
Will the fans support the players. Will they keep a lid on it if were 3 or 4. Will it boil over?
Since October, after Ken backed down from his "I will do everything in my power speech" and then did nothing there has been detachment from the fans. Zombieland.
I think the strike has at least stirred up some emotion one way or the other.

Well we managed to avoid that at least rftr but it's still a dreadful situation. Interesting that Parky still hasn't come forward. I can understand that he doesn't want to discuss anything regarding the off field issue with the potential takeover mired in legal issues but surely his job is to comment on matters relating to football. It just smacks of complete cowardice and I genuinely hope that if anybody else walks away like Pavel, then I hope it's Parkinson. Anyway, that's it for the season but there's a massive amount still to resolve. Hopefully if we're in Admin on Tuesday a genuine purchaser will come forward because the last thing we need is another Anderson in Laurence Bassini. You wonder if creating the current impasse with Bassini ownership is just a final turn of the knife by Ken and his plan is Bassini or Liquidation. The EFL have been a complete disgrace so let's just hope that for once they do the decent thing and reject him as suitable. Failure to do that could end in catastrophe!!

Simply had no interest in watching today’s game on i-follow and didn’t even know about the early kick off. Re Parky, I agree Whites, the sooner he goes, the better. I read an article today about Sol Campbell’s achievement in keeping Macclesfield in the Football League. Seven points adrift at the bottom when he took over in November, financial chaos at the club, no budget, players paid late for four months in a row... sound a bit familiar? The difference is that he is a motivator and refused to let off field problems find their way onto the pitch. Yes, Parky has had horrendous circumstances to deal with. Has he made a good fist of it? No. Is he the man for next season? Emphatically no! He’s forgotten how to set up a team to win. Next season, we must be led by a winner, with a winner’s mentality.

Quite so Alp. I never really liked Sol Campbell much, always thought he was cocky and motivated by money. Well he may have been in the past but as you say, full marks to him for the job he's done at Macclesfield this season. When you consider the guys playing record compared to Parkinson's it probably says everything about positivity and motivation. Clearly he's taken a completely demoralised club, players and supporters and turned it around against all the odds. I couldn't name you a single Macclesfield player and I'll guarantee that not one of them earns anything near what our players do so having to do without even that must surely have been more difficult an experience than our lot suffered. The fact that they kept playing and not striking to bring attention to their non payment like our traitors did just highlights the dispicable and selfish attitude displayed. Hopefully they will get fully paid for achieving safety and putting their club and fans first, whilst frankly I hope our imposters take a big hit on theirs if we do go through Administration. I know that sounds harsh and fully accept they've suffered but I just can't stop feeling totally ashamed and disgusted with the lot of them for their unnecessary and eventually fruitless actions. Parky has hopefully managed his last game here now so I hope other potential employees are watching his cowardly disappearing act in our hour of need and choose the likes of Sol instead.

Alp funnily enough i was thinking of Sol Campbell. I thought he was an idiot, he talked about what he should be doing and how good he was without proving it.
He plays the race card a bit for me. However when you think Darren Moore got sacked and the other two demoted teams were pathetic it proves his point.
Says it all about Parky that on the last game of the season with nothing to play for we still go for 4-5-1 and we only use 2 subs. Oz still gets no time.

Ken & Whites, I also never had much time for Campbell. As you both recognise, the point is that he has evidently handled the dreadful situation at Macclesfield much better than Parky has here.
However, like you both, atrocious as Parky has been, it is this strike nonsense that has switched me off totally. BWFC surely deserves better.

Anderson created a situation for Parkinson to progress our club. Unfortunately Parkinson's wretched tactics, even today, meant even season ticket holders didn't enter the stadium, and thus with deserved low attendances Anderson didn't have the cash even to sack Parkinson and his demotivating assistants. While Anderson should have been on the scene to sort out the recent crisis, I put our demise totally at Parkinson's door. It isn't often over a lifetime of supporting Wanderers that I have declined to go. I fear greatly our grandchildren may not have the same life interest unless a miracle happens with a new owner supported by the likes of Bruce and Toddy.

Extremely relevant the entire blame for where we are today lies at the feet of Anderson .....the past does matter,it gets you where you are today !
