We have to win this tonight. Although a draw wouldn't be a disaster, Reading are really struggling and we need to use that to our advantage. I don't expect Parky to change anything but personnel so it will be the same mind numbing stuff and hoofing to a non existing threat up front, but we could still pinch it as we've done in many home games. That said, I think giving Reading so much of the ball will result in them gaining confidence so I can only see another defeat. Reading 2 Wanderers 0.

Is there any real structure to PP’s team selections?? Is he just another Ranieri?? Or has his hand been forced?? Will he use that comment in his after match should we lose?? Will luck be on his side??
Well it’s 1-1 and until ALF scored, Sky reckon we’ve been toothless up front. What is wrong with going for it with a Clough ALF partnership up front to give Reading something to think about Come on Parky, show some b—lox and go for it because I say this, if we do stay up, ot won’t be due to us going for it and entertaiiing the fans, it’ll be that the other teams around us have failed COYWM go for the jugular on this shoite Reading side

Missed the first half hour as live stream down and had to make do with wretched Tower FM man. Just got vision to see ALF plant a sitter over the bar! Not sure whether to be glad of the point ( especially with others losing) or frustrated that we didn‘t get all three. We could, and perhaps should have won. Not sure about possession stats, but it seemed to me we were on the ball much more than usual. Kirchhoff I thought was a real calming influence and actually tried to use the ball. When he came off, we reverted to hoof type a bit and invited unnecessary pressure. ALF buzzed about and unsettled their defence. Burke played well, though I still think we should not have both Pratley and Henry in the same team. Pratley always plays the man and Henry is useless on the ball. And they both are liabilities as regards giving away dangerous free kicks. We looked better as a back four, but I just can‘t see the point of Noone on the right flank. He is wholly. left sided and has good pace, but on the right he always has to double inside and his effectiveness is much reduced. I thought Morais was much better. Buckley and Flanagan did OK, except when he was caught napping for their goal , and Taylor was strong.
We were the better team and should go to Hillsborough expecting a result. All in all a much better feeling than Saturday.

I can’t believe I’m grateful for the point as yet again, the opportunity to grab all 3 was never more evident on tonight’s offerings (according to Beeb and Sky and GMR) I just really hope the lack of grasping these opportunities doesn’t bite us on the arse come May. Right good chance to get an away win which I can’t see possible for the rest of the away games 😞

Some disappointment for not getting 3 points when everyone below lost but surely the most disappointed fans will be Reading. They must have been banking on beating the worst away team in the league.
There fans will be on their back. Jaap Stam must surely be doubting his sides ability and I think he could get tv shiv today. What that will do to their season im not sure but we've kept them in the mire with us and we must be th mee buoyant going in to the last stretch.
Was last night the first sign of Phil trying the new fad of passing the ball? Or will he revert back when all the players are back fit.
Before last night I had the target of 3 wins, 3 draws to see us through. So 3 wins and a couple of draws now. Easy street.

Listened to whole game on Tower fm. Should have won- missed 2 sitters. Reading poor. BUT possession stats much better which must mean we were actually passing better. Bring in Obasi and Clough at Sheffield Parky!

We also had 50% of the total goals scored too Pedro. ;-)
Those possession stats are nice to see though.

What about these?!!!
According to stats from Whoscored.com, the number of ‘long balls’ played by Wanderers (24.3 per cent) was their lowest of the Championship season so far and had reduced by more than 15 per cent on recent games against Sunderland and QPR.
Please, please Parky keep reducing this stat! Forgot to say that Jan Kirchoff looked head and shoulders above the rest of the squad in the skilled passing department. Very cool and just hope he stays fit. Great addition and he has played with Obasi before.
