Well said, Oomac! I'm still not sure who we could get to replace PP if Ken decided to take action based on the clamour on here. Who is affordable, available and keen, is a proven, successful manager, and would provide the entertainment X-Factor that many disgruntled fans seem to want, into the bargain?! Very few in our squad have flair. We are not capable of pass-and-move. Some have very little football brain. Effort and team spirit is all. To get this bunch of lower-level footballers to play above themselves would take the abilities of a Big Sam, but even he starts from organising a competent defensive base with little regard for entertainment. Then he begins to buy in creativity once the club's position is stable, but will always favour a big centre forward, as PP does. Yesterday, second-placed Cardiff had ZERO shots on target, so the defence (and midfield??) must surely take some credit for that, but very little praise is given for that vital part of the game on here. No, I think we will have to be patient, accept our limitations, get behind the team and be as supportive as possible to avoid demoralising the club further. Just be grateful that the club still exists after the disastrous financial recklessness of previous regimes. Wouldn’t mind seeing Michael Appleton given a go here, he’s as local a lad as Parkinson is (Salford) has worked under tremendous pressure at Oxford and did well there and with Shakespear at Leicester and now Claude Puell. It’s such a shame that we managed to scrape a run together of not getting beat and picking up the odd win in recent times, but other ‘adventurous’ managers would surely have utilised players, more effectively, made more positive inroads with their substitutions, been more tactically astute, sometimes be seen to throw caution to the wind and certainly we would have been higher up the table than our current secon bottom position shows and for me, that’s why I’ll never take to PP in this Championship division as I firmly believe that its down to him that we are not.

Would be nice to get a good manager but sadly they don't grow on trees. I have met PP at the remac before the season started and I wished him all the luck in the world in trying to keep us up and to be fair he was a very pleasant man to talk to. But I do think he needs to man up and ask the chairman for some help in trying to get us to stay up. It's going to be a interesting second half of the season we need 31 points which will give us 50 points it's not impossible but improbable enjoy the next 23 games if you can.

Where I do disagree is in the quality of our players, I think many of them are far better than Parky's systems make them look. With a more capable manager I believe we'd be doing much better. Parky's a good guy and I like him but I think rather than many of the players it's Parky that's out of his depth and lacking ability.
