I have just read Ken's plea for more fans to come to the games to help our finances and make us more attractive to buyers.
In his article was the following stat which really says it all as to what we are really up against in this League.
"In 2013, the figure for the division as a whole was £36.7m while 2016 saw teams in our division spend a total of £242m. The figures are mind boggling and I have to wonder if they are sustainable"

They are only sustainable Pedro if the clubs spending the money make it to the PL. Each year 3 teams come down with high wage players who don't think it's their fault and underperform, as Sunderland and Hull are demonstrating. They have the benefit of parachute payments and consequently spend it in an afford to get back up again. Most don't and an increasing number of clubs will find themselves in the same chronic situation we are in. I don't see any sense returning as the pressure to get into the PL is so great so I can only see problem clubs increasing as the Sky money gets greater. Oh for those days when players actually played for the love of the game and not the obscene and ridiculous salaries they receive today but even if we filled the ground regularly it still wouldn't be enough to cover what players cost today.

If I wanted people to come to my party I'd lay on a bit of entertainment.
You see in some pubs a landlord who will blame everything for no trade "people don't come out anymore, it's the supermarkets fault. They don't have the money. It's the governments fault. It's the big chains faults." Sometimes you need to face facts. People will spend the money, they are willing to travel but only if you're happy at 5 o clock on Saturday and that doesn't mean winning all time but trying to entertain.
