Odd timing that on the day Allardyce should have been naming his England squad he has once again been given his P45.
Big Sam sacked by Everton. Taking his severance pay up to about £20M now surely! No doubt he will wind up at Leicester when they get rid of Puel or whichever team panics after 5 games next season. Watford my guess.
I have some sympathy with Big Sam but not that much. When he got to 40 points he should have made more of an effort to play better stuff. Bolton fans are probably alone in knowing how good the football can be. I do think now Big Sam has an ego where it's a case of sod them if they don't like it.
But Sam was still relying on players that weren't his. A huge misbalance in the side. He bought a striker who has had a pretty good return and Walcott has too grabbed a few goals. Mangala was a non runner but I'd say his signings have been mostly promising.
No club has ever improved after Big Sam left. 4 were relegated pretty shortly after and the others all were involved in the dog fight.
