This looks ominous
Statement on BWFC website:-
"Bolton Wanderers can confirm that the club has today commenced a consultation process with a view to restructuring its footballing operations and staff."
What do we read into this?

I think forced redundancy is the term as opposed to sacking. There is an expression in Spanish which says " The cow can only give so much milk". I could not believe the number of people employed by BWFC. A third division football club, which we are now, needs to cut its cloth accordingly. I am sorry for the people who will lose their jobs (happened to me in 2005) but our club has been a very poorly run "business" for many years and drastic changes are required.

We have sold the Euxton training ground so probably don't need all the people who used to work there, from the catering staff to the grounds people for a start. Smaller squad of players and all players from youth teams to 1st team all training at the same facility means less backroom staff to deal with them. Like you say One2Many shame the staff that lose their jobs but necessary all the same.

Just been reading Pratley's comments in the BN about this. Pretty damning. I'm getting seriously worried about the ability of the new regime to improve on the Gartside/Davies shambles. Looks like communications are poor, timing of key decisions crazy and nothing in place to keep the players ticking over during the summer break. Pratley says that there is a meeting with the players scheduled for Tuesday so they should get to know more.
Let's hope we can all find out what's going on and what the future holds. Things need to get sorted out quickly otherwise we'll continue on downwards. I expect a lot now depends on Holding being sold but let's not give him away.

I think it's a case of keep your powder dry at the moment, that's of course assuming you have some. Things are clearly up in the air at the moment with KA dong all the talking now. Begs the question where is Deano, not heard a bean form him for ages. Clearly things aren't rosy but I think we all need to spare a thought for how difficult it must be to run the club on a shoestring. Football above our level now is basically loaded but we're now in with the paupers and until we can dispose of the high earners we have significant problems. It's easy to criticise about things not happening quickly enough but I think we need to cut management a little slack until changes are announced. I'm sure they're working as hard as they can and will make announcements when they are available.
