after NL came out with that ridiculous statement...if I had a team of Feeney's we'd be top 2 or 3...i saw this conversation on Marc Iles twitter feed.
(above)
he's ranked 14th in our squad (although how they rate Clough lower considering his goals per minutes i don't know ) and has never got a MAN OF THE MATCH AWARD.
obviously they hand them out based on being the best player on the field..not just best BWFC player on the field so i'm guessing Gray got it last Sat'day.

what really made me laugh & my main reason for this post/thread is his individual profile/characteristics.
1 strength= crossing. (considered to be "strong".NB there is a higher category of "very strong"..Wellingtons dribbling qualifies for that !)
6 elements on his weaknesses side. 2 of which are very weak. I won't spoil it for you..go look yourself.
i can only think, that NL meant he's a very limited player getting the most out of his ability.
and that if the rest of the better players like Mark Davies were performing to their max, we would be much higher.

there's even a team strengths and weaknesses profile here. 3 very strong points for us. 1 strong. 4 very weak. and 4 others classed as weak.
feel free to discuss !
one final point..i keep seeing Feeneys assist stats being put up as a partial defence of him..and yes it's better to be doing something productive like that than the "crab" Mark Davies with more of his sideways passes. but as any decent fantasy football player knows..if you're trying to get assist points in your team, you pick players who take set pieces . and of course Feeney does that . it's like comparing strikers who take pens with those who don't. again it's another fantasy football tip..get penalty takers in your team...

incidentally, it seems ages since we last had or scored a pen. don't even know who our taker is. did Ameobi miss the last. we must be due one.
