Have you all signed up and pledged your £10 to the supporters trust. No money changing hands yet. I'm in, are you??? Of course Nearly 3000 have pledged so far. "Once in never out" "Bolton til I die". "Keep the Faith"

See they are asking for people with experience in admin, email etc , shame they haven't got round to contacting those 400+ people who expressed an interest in helping, all it would take is an email with some kind of questionnaire to find out what people's skills are.

I see Richard Hurst has been appointed interim Chairman of the Trust. He has connections with the Club / Eddie as agovernor of the school. Don't know the first thing about the guy but as a point of principle would have preferred an independent chairman.
I guess on the one hand it's good that he already knows some of the club big wigs but on the other it hardly helps to promote the independence of the Trust. Some may believe that deals will be done behind closed doors thus undermining the democratic nature of the Trust.
Although only interim Chairman, it puts him in a good position to become substantive chair should he wish.

and the picture of the guy who is responsible for memberships and designing website is a stock picture from some picture agency.....surely if you don't have his pic or he doesn't want you to use his picture, don't use the picture of a model off the internet. It just adds to the paranoia that is emerging around the Trust

I think you'll find that the University in conjunction with another of it's research breakthroughs FibrLec paid about £250k at very short notice to drag Gartside out of the shit and remove a PayDay loans company's logo to have it's name put on those shit shirts .. hardly putting them on the map!

Although only interim Chairman, it puts him in a good position to become substantive chair should he wish. Its a real worry for me this. I'm not sure who is best qualified to run such an operation to be honest but rather it was a consortium of supporters with business acumen but realistically would they do it for free over a long period.

It just adds to the paranoia that is emerging around the Trust I think what has probably happened is that they've used a free Wordpress web theme to create the site. A theme is basically an entire demo website that has been created and you just go in and edit the text and images (slightly oversimplified there but a fair assessment) much the same as a MS Word template .. they give you the basics and you go in and edit it to suit your needs. The image that was left in for the web designer guy was likely a demo one that was included within the theme.

I know what you mean, I used one from Wix for a website, but the guy whose pic it is is the web guy so why hasn't he changed it?
