Well, after the Dons disposed of Rotherham 4-1 and obviously came into this Championship on the back of a shed full of goals, they scraped through in the league cup v Orient but came unstuck v North End at home.
The only 2 teams that failed to score last weekend were the Dons and???
Yep. Us.
So with this in mind, I'm hoping NL goes for his tried and tested back four v Derby and maybe we might keep the score line down to 2-0!!!!
I just worry that we are lacking any goal threat at all and I think I'm ok to say this as we've played 3 competitive games so far and hardly managed an effort on target

I think he'll revert to 4 at the back after Saturday's disaster and we will keep those Dons out. Still hard to see us scoring though - apparently Madine and Clough are both doubtful. 0-0. Still no goals but our first point.

Cheer me up do! I'm going to the game and it really is a local one for me but even so 50 miles for 0-0 is not appealing. I think we can win this more decisively?

We couldn't have had much time for get on the training field or analysis room to try and get a mark on what went wrong. Be mainly travel. Think Wilson has got to come back in. I really don't know who else we could change. Heskey can't play back to back games I wouldn't have thought? Madine injured? Dobbie up top on his own? I'd be tempted to throw Trotter in. Not rated here but I can't see how he could do worse than Danns at the moment. Usually I like to think that with the right team and attitude we could beat anyone. I couldn't give you a starting XI that I would be confident of getting anything from this game and I couldn't hide the massive weaknesses. I'm writing this one off and just hoping that we get 3, 4 or 5 new faces and I'd be really tempted to make Medo work for his supper. |

I agree : Trotter has more to offer than Danns. But then he more to offer than most..if he offers it. He all but lost the game v Derby when caught in possession. Everyone saw that. Few saw that he was involved in retrieving the situation too. . But yes better than some of his struggling competitors- in theory!

Enjoy the game Andy, certainly any result away from home will be welcome especially against a team who we should beat really so I am going for a Neil Lennon got it right on the night tactics 1-2 victory.
MK Dons 1 Bolton 2 ......... Fingers crossed.

Well on top. Denied lead by brilliant save from Clough. Clough bright . Prince dodgy. Moxey doing well. Danns having best game for a while. Should be ahead but alas goal drought continues.
