I can’t believe the negativity either chaps😂😂 Good job I’m not offering my own opinion 😬😬😂😂 Anyway Is anyone watching Luton v Sunderland ?? If you are, you might be thinking, hey, that’s just like watching Ian Evatt’s Bolton watching Sunderland, then again, you might not. They’ve gone to Kenilworth Road set up not to lose and offered nowt, nothing, zilch and wouldn’t you know it, they are 2-0 down to an energetic, attack minded Luton side who have really impressive me and they’re still going at them (70 mins) Sunderland are having loads of possession with no end goal Hope Ian’s watching on how not to do it like The Wearsiders🤔 If we don’t start like a train and worry them instead of waiting to be worried by them, then we really are heading for defeat We have been warned

I, too watched Luton demolish Sunderland, and agree with you Reebok that the pattern of play was just like our home game with Barnsley. Like us, Sunderland only started to show a semblance of football cohesion in the last quarter.
A major factor in the Luton win was their number 11, Adebeyo, who had a terrific game, a genuine all-round striker. It made me wonder if Evatt and Markham had their lines crossed in the January window, when we signed the similarly-named Adeboyejo from Burton, and the veteran Jerome from Luton.

Explanation needed on our January business Mr Markham, especially Dapo’s exit Don’t get me wrong though, if Vic scores the winner on Friday (De-Freitas style) all will be forgiven but generally, he’s poor and never worth half a mil Just watched Coventry and they’ve just gone at Middlesbrough and got the result, yeah there were some squeaky bum moments for the Sky Blues but they took the game to Boro and got the rewards Luton or Coventry are officially now a Premiership side, is this the year of the underdog one wonders We have to be brave, attack minded and start from minute 1 to minute 91 non stop to get us over the line Anything less than full on passion and we will be spanked Over to you Ian

It's not dire. It's just patchy. It can be dire but it can be majestic. Honestly think if there was a fast forward button and we worked on tempo it could be really good. I agree OM ... I'm having a go at Evatt because he doesn't up the tempo. Look at what we did to Plymouth. You don't get second chances in the playoffs. You have to go out and attack, and we didn't Saturday.

Have to agree completely woppy with both you and OM, it’s not the style of football it’s the tempo that makes the difference. This slowly, slowly walking stuff mainly perpetuated by z Santos I have to say is both awful to watch and in my mind unproductive. All it does is give 5he opposition time to get their defence back into full position so it’s no wonder then that we can’t find a way through. If we move the ball quickly from Trafford to defence, through midfield at pace we catch them off guard and out of position and with our pace up front that’s when we do best. I really can’t understand Evatt accepting it and this stuff about tiring out the opposition is just ridiculous, unless he means mesmerising them with the slow sideways monotony? That’s where for me having Sheehan in helped as he came deeper to receive the ball and move it forward but again it has to be at pace. I’m worried about who the injured are because if it’s the likes of Bradley, Dino, Demps or Toal were going to be struggling and i have a feeling from what Evatt’s been saying that it will be? Oh well, what will be will be so let’s just hope whoever it is doesn’t weaken the team too much?

So far, Luton, Coventry and now Sheffield Wednesday proving that if you go for it, you’ll get the rewards
Evatt can have no excuses, he’s in the flippin ground at Hillsboro to see it for himself what could very well turn out to be one of the best comebacks in history (3-0 up with 15 to go Agg 3-4)
Peterborough looked happy to sit on their 4-0 win and have offered absolutely nothing and could very well get what they deserve
What a game
UN BEE LEE VABLE They’ve only gone and done it 4-4
Now POSH score in ET first half Bloody hell, what a game Wednesday with quarter of an hour to save their season AGAIN🙄
Would not be surprised to see it go to penalties
Edit It did go to pens and what a game Can we repeat that one wonders🤔🤔🤔

Probably the worst thing to happen really. A confident Sheff Weds with thier 35,000 buoyant fans all believing that they will do it.
Had Posh sneaked through they would be question marks on how they almost blew it.
Also Sheff Weds showed when it comes to it then can score 5 penalties.
Let's hope we don't get any penalty practise tonight though.
Also long game it is better that we do get the big guns out of L1. Posh will be lucky to keep hold of Clarke Harris so if it's not us let's hope it's Wednesday and we nudge up a spot for league one favourites next year.

Yes I agree with all that OM, if we do fail this year it’s hopefully the Wendies who go up because that makes the opposition much less dangerous next year with all 3 teams coming down probably struggling. It certainly was a fantastic comeback last night backed by a rapturous crowd although I thought Posh just capitulated from the off seeming to have no other thought than to defend. Had they gone for it from the off and scored again it would have been almost impossible for Wednesday to come back from it. Sad really because I think both ourselves and Barnsley would have turned Posh over at Wembley but now I’m not so sure against the Owls. Whatever happens tonight it can’t come close to matching to that either in attitude or aggression. I’d expect both sides to take a cautious approach and think it could be settled by the odd goal in a low scoring game. I’m pretty sanguine about promotion really. Yes I’d like it this season but then on the other hand we’re nowhere near strong enough up top to score against better quality teams so perhaps another season in L1 to rebuild in key areas wouldn’t be a bad thing.

A huge game tonight.
Win and we are just one match from promotion.
Lose and it will still have been a good season but it will be majorly disappointing.
Who knows who the 2 injured players are – must wait until 7 o’clock to find out. Hopefully not any of Trafford, Bradley, Santos, Dempsey or Charles.
Injuries permitting, I expect the back 6 to remain the same – Trafford, Bradley, Toal, Santos, Johnston and Williams.
Midfield – do we need to be more physical? MJ Williams perhaps. I would go Morley, Dempsey and Lee although I feel that Lee seems to be a permanent sub these days.
Charles and one other up front – I think it will be Kachunga but not for me.
Two other comments on the team. Please can we have a keeper on the subs bench – it is much too risky in such an important match and please don’t sub Charles after 60 minutes. We may well need him in a penalty shoot out.
A win tonight and then Sheff Wed.
It was an amazing fight back last night but it was all kick and rush. Launch the ball forward and into the area and see what happens. And what happened was a shocking defensive display by Peterborough. How many times did their keeper drop a high ball? How many dreadful defensive clearances did they make?
I wonder if Barnsley may play like that tonight – we need the back 3 and Trafford to be strong.
Optimistic as ever I am going for a tight 1-0 win.

Well im being positive about the tonight and as I've said before I think Evatt is the clubs biggest asset. We're now involved in finals and promotion it's been awhile in coming. Just setting off to Barnsley let's hope for a nice simple 2 nil win. Football is life.

I’ll be wearing my lucky 79 Umbro Wanderers shirt, the one with the diamonds down the sleeves, my fave shirt, the one I fist saw in my first ever game at Burn’din (Worthy’s goal) oh for one of them from Dion tonight⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
Has anyone seen the footage from the Sheff Wed dressing room? Fair play to them but you’d be mistaken for thinking they’d won promotion already. Good of Barry Bannon to stop Darren Moore in his tracks to turn the praise round onto him, thought that was a nice touch, class Barry, class 👏🏻
Come on you Whites, just do us proud and don’t leave anything behind, apart from the Little Tykes We want a Battle of the Roses, not a battle of Yorkshire at Wembley, that would be boring
Let’s do this COYWM ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ Uri’s bending a spoon for you Trotters Not the one he bent for Reading back in 95 though😬
