Totally deflated after that piss poor showing at Fratton Park
Where is the impetus evaporated too from those 2 x 5-0 wins
Rioch and Allardyce would have found a way to keep that momentum going and the last thing they would have done is the pathetic substitutions at the wrong time of the game that Evatt tends to do
He needs to be upfront about that as there appeared to be no injuries or tiredness in Shoretire and Dion. I’m not saying the result wouldn’t have been a loss but we might have scraped a draw out of it
I don’t fancy us tomorrow, sorry

It depresses me when we lose so I tend to avoid wanderers news until the next game. 😃 I'm now back in positive mode.
I thought Shola started well against Portsmouth but then faded as the ball spent more time in the air then on the grass. I think Evatt was right to change it but we needed Victor and not Katcha for that game. Similar type game tomorrow but Morcombe aren't as good as Portsmouth so think we'll be strong enough to get a result. 2-0 to the wanderers.
Football is life....

Vic wasn't fit enough for Tuesday night, injured in the warm up apparently. So again with only 1 fit striker in Dion why we didn't change to a 451 and get more help in the middle will never know.
Form is poor with bad performances against Wymcombe, Port Vale, Portsmouth AND Accrington. Couldn't quite believe the ratings for that game. Thought we were awful in most part.
Heard the phrase mentality monsters a lot recently. This years buzz word. Arsenal are, Man Utd are becoming, Liverpool are no longer and think it's something we struggle with. There is no doubt for me we have one of, if not the best squads in this league. The MK Dons victory showed how much depth we had. 5 goals and a series of saves by thier keeper but we tend not to carry any momentum with us.
We are back to a familiar position where if we don't score first and don't score early we don't play well. OK did open the scoring at Fratton Park, bit of a one off. But similar to Shrewsbury throw it away with set pieces.
Morecambe know all about Bolton. Thier Sunday league manager knows all the tricks. They may try and wind Dempsey up with him being in the news again. Not even sure if he'll play.
Do need a win, they probably need it more. Think it might be a 1-1 again.

This will be a tough game not because Morecambe are good but because we have gone back to the Santos way of playing slowly slowly catches monkey with there messing around at the back giving opposition time to get set up and force mistakes from us. It will be in your face so called football from them and us huffing and puffing we need to get the first goal and then kick on 1-2 win onwards and upwards COYWM

No doubt about this being a must win game.
We sit in 4th but the teams behind are lining up to get at us and they start to play their games in hand from now on.
With regard to the staring line up, I feel that we must get Toal back to right sided centre back. He looked uncomfortable on the left on Tuesday. Whether Jones or Mbete play in the left position is up for debate. I also have a feeling that the manager may bring Williams back in at the expense of John.
Midfield – Morley and Dempsey pick themselves. Can Lee play 2 hard games on the run? If Adeboyejo is fit, I could see him coming in and Shoretire dropping back to midfield.
This will be another game where the opposition is in our faces and we need to make a better job than at Portsmouth.
I agree with Chip about the Santos slow build up – it costs us in that the midfield are marked up so we need to play at a better pace.
Having said all that, and bearing in mind the tension between the clubs/fans, we have to say that we have better players than Morecambe and should be capable of beating them.
The defence needs to be more awake, the midfield needs to gain control and we will get chances.
It should be a win – 2-0.

You’d have thought a manager would have seen that and changed it quickly but not IE who stubbornly refuses to change what he’s started with. I actually expect us to lose today because we won’t change anything and will be constantly bullied and frustrated by Morecambe. Obviously I hope I’m wrong but I can only see another awful and depressing 1-0 defeat. 🤨😖

No Jerome or Adeboyejo. Little worried about that as Shola isn't a striker.
A lot that we don't like. Cold weather. Breezy. Teams pump balls in. Early kick off for our fatigued players. So let's hope we can roll the sleeps up and prove we're not a soft touch.

I think Shorty is a striker OM but he isn’t a target man and if we’re going to make the best of him we need to play it to his feet not his head. Keep knocking big high balls up is utterly pointless and isn’t making the best of what we have. We don’t have to try and compete with physical teams like this just play through and round them but sadly me just feel we have to match them in strength which we never do. I still see us losing this to a poor team.

It’s all to much pissing about with the ball we have had one chance hit straight at the keeper. I’m not sure Charles is comfortable up front on his own he needs help because if he doesn’t hold it up it’s back to our keeper. COYWM Halftime drab game 0-0

That was so poor.
We are playing so slow from the back – how many back passes to Trafford has there been?
Defence is too casual – standing off their men too much, allowing attempts at goal to come in.
Midfield being muscled out of the game.
Toal has had most of the ball attacking-wise and his passing has been rank bad.
Shoretire looks like a skilful young lad but playing in a man’s game where he is being endlessly beaten.
Massive improvement needed.

SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT
For Effs Sake
SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT
You never know, you might just hit the target
2 questions
1. What time is Evatt getting a yellow card🤔 2. What time beyond 90 minutes might we get an equaliser 🤔
